Arrival in Lisbon

Once you have arrived in Lisbon, you are transferred from the airport to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to settle in or explore at your own pace. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Exploring Lisbon

This morning, you set out on a guided introduction to Lisbon. Your tour takes you through its principal avenues and squares, along with seeing the exterior of key landmarks such as Belém Tower, the Jerónimos Monastery, and the Monument to the Discoveries, which reflects Portugal’s seafaring past.

The afternoon is free for you to explore the city’s older neighborhoods, including the atmospheric Alfama district, or you may choose to join an optional excursion to Sintra and Cascais, both recognized as World Heritage Sites.

Day 3

Merida & Cordoba

Lisbon (Portugal) - Merida (Spain) - Cordoba. You will leave Lisbon and travel towards Mérida, the capital of Extremadura. Recognised as a World Heritage Site, the city is noted for its remarkably preserved Roman remains, including the theatre, amphitheater and bridge.

After some free time to look around, you continue to Córdoba, once the center of the Caliphate.

Day 4

Cordoba to Seville

Cordoba - Seville. Today, you visit Córdoba’s Mosque and explore other significant sites as you wander through the narrow lanes of the Jewish Quarter.

In the afternoon, you travel to Seville, reached after a short journey of around two hours.

Day 5

Discovering Seville

After breakfast, you will join a panoramic tour of the city, during which you will see the Cathedral, the Santa Cruz quarter, María Luisa Park, and Plaza de España.

The afternoon is free for you to enjoy Seville at your own pace, and you may choose to attend an optional flamenco show in the evening.

Day 6

Ronda & Costa del Sol

Seville - Ronda - Costa del Sol. In the morning, you travel south, passing typical villages on your way to Ronda. You have free time to explore this town of Celtic origin and take in the views over the surrounding valley and mountain range.

Later, you continue to the Costa del Sol, one of Spain’s major international holiday regions.

Day 7

Exploring Granada

Costa del Sol - Granada. Today, you travel to Granada, known for its remarkable heritage as the final stronghold of the Moorish kingdoms until 1492. You visit the Alhambra and the Generalife Gardens, with their courtyards, fountains and viewpoints that have inspired writers over the centuries.

In the evening, you may choose to attend an optional Flamenco Zambra show.

Day 8

Toledo & Madrid

Granada - Toledo - Madrid. This morning, you travel north to Toledo, rising above the plains of Castilla and encircled by the Tagus River. A World Heritage City, Toledo reflects the legacy of Christian, Moorish and Jewish traditions.

You take a short guided walk through its historic center and narrow streets before continuing to Madrid.

Day 9

Discovering Madrid

You begin the day with a panoramic tour that introduces you to Madrid’s early origins, including the area around the former Arab fortress and the Barrio de la Morería, known for its historic buildings and traditional taverns.

You then explore the Hapsburg quarter, marked by Renaissance and Baroque architecture at Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa.

The tour continues through the Madrid of the Bourbons, featuring landmarks such as the Royal Palace, the Cibeles and Neptune fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá, before moving on to 19th-century sites including Plaza de Oriente and the Prado Museum.

You also see modern Madrid, with its broad avenues, commercial districts, the Salamanca neighborhood and the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. The afternoon is free for you to spend as you wish.
