Day 1

Arrival in Porto

On arrival at Porto Airport, you will be met for a private transfer to your hotel for check in.

The remainder of the day is yours to explore the city at your own pace. You may wish to wander through the center, where you will find a variety of inviting shops and restaurants.

Day 2

Exploring Porto

This morning, meet your guide in the hotel lobby for a half-day sightseeing tour of Porto. In the historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will enjoy a guided walk through its atmospheric streets while learning about the city’s rich history and culture. Along the way, you will see landmarks such as the renowned Lello Bookshop, said to have inspired the Harry Potter series, the Church of St Francis, celebrated for its gilded interiors, and the Palacio da Bolsa, admired for its grand granite architecture and intricate Neo-Arabic detail.

Continue towards the picturesque Douro riverfront, where you can take in views of the Dom Luis I Bridge and the famous Port wine cellars that have made the city world-renowned. During your walk, you will stop at a few traditional spots to sample some of Porto’s best local delicacies.

Your experience concludes with a visit to one of the Port wine cellars, where you will enjoy a tasting. A transfer will return you to your hotel, and the remainder of the day is free for you to relax or explore at leisure.

Day 3

Pinhao & Douro Valley

Porto - Pinhao - Douro Valley. Tour Today, you will travel to Pinhao along the scenic Estrada Nacional 222, a beautiful route that follows much of the Douro River through Portugal’s wine region.

On arrival in Pinhao, your guide will show you around the village and point out the best places to enjoy the views of the Douro Valley. You will then sit down to a traditional lunch at one of the area’s renowned wineries.

After lunch, you will explore the vineyards and take part in a wine tasting to sample some of the valley’s finest wines.

In the afternoon, you will take a relaxing one-hour cruise along the Douro River, where you can soak up the spectacular scenery. At the end of the day, your transfer will take you back to your hotel.

Day 4

Vineyard Picnic and Wine Tasting

After breakfast, you will have free time to relax or spend as you wish. You may like to take a gentle stroll through the nearby village, visit a local cafe for a coffee, or simply unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

At lunchtime, you will enjoy one of the best experiences in the Douro Valley, a picnic among the vineyards, followed by a wine tasting at one of the region’s renowned wineries. If the weather does not allow for the picnic, lunch will instead be served at a traditional local restaurant.

At the end of the day, your transfer will take you back to your hotel.

Day 5

Departure from Porto

Douro Valley - Porto. After your final Breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to the Porto Airport for your onward journey. Safe Travels.
