Itinerary
Day 1 - Beginning of our Journey
Edinburgh - Cairngorms National Park - Grantown-on-Spey. We journey north through the Kingdom of Fife to Lindores Abbey, a modern distillery built on the site of Scotland's first recorded distillery in 1494. Discover the area's historic legacy blended with innovation and sustainability in their fine whisky. Continuing north into Cairngorms National Park, we enjoy a scenic drive and stop in Braemar for lunch and exploration.
Afterwards, we visit the Whisky Castle, a renowned whisky emporium offering over 600 malts. Sample three Speyside whiskies to experience the region's distinctive flavours. Following this tasting, we traverse Cairngorms National Park before arriving at Grantown-on-Spey, our base for two nights.
Please note: Check-in closes at 08:30 (tour departs at 08:45) - Edinburgh Bus Station Pick Up, Gate J and Gate K, inside Edinburgh Bus Station, St Andrew Square, Edinburgh, EH1 3DQ.

Day 2 - Scotland's Famous Whisky Region
Get ready for a day devoted to Scotland’s liquid gold! We’ll spend the day discovering the iconic Speyside whisky region, home to some of the world’s most celebrated single malts.
Our first stop is the Glenlivet Distillery, famed for its smooth, floral character. Step inside the immersive Process Room to uncover the art of whisky-making, then savour three distinctive drams — including rare editions available only at the distillery. With spirits lifted and palates warmed, we’ll make our way to the charming village of Aberlour for a well-deserved lunch.
After lunch, we’ll trace the banks of the River Spey to the Speyside Cooperage, one of the last traditional cooperages in Scotland. Here, time-honoured craftsmanship meets modern innovation as skilled coopers shape, toast, and char the oak casks that give whisky its soul.
Our final stop is Cardhu Distillery, an iconic Speyside name with a remarkable story. Discover how Helen Cumming, a pioneering woman in whisky, helped build Cardhu’s legacy and its key role in blends like Johnnie Walker. Then, test your senses in the distillery’s Mystery Whisky Challenge — a guided tour and tasting of five distinctive expressions to round off your Speyside adventure.
Accommodation: Brooklynn Guest House, Garden Park, Ravenscourt or similar

Afterwards, we depart the Highlands and travel south to Pitlochry, a charming town in the heart of Perthshire. Here, we have time to explore shops, restaurants, and cafes and enjoy some lunch.
Continuing our journey, we pause for a walk among majestic Douglas firs in the Hermitage, a picturesque forest with a cascading waterfall. Then, we visit the quaint village of Dunkeld before our final whisky experience. Our return journey takes us over the Firth of Forth, where we admire the magnificent South Queensferry bridges before reaching Edinburgh.
