Day 1 - Washington
Welcome to Washington, D.C.! Upon arrival, we provide a transfer to your hotel, allowing you to settle in and enjoy some leisure time. In the afternoon, you will receive information about the start of your tour either in person or via the hotels reception information boards. Later, we will take you to Georgetown, one of the citys liveliest districts, well-known for its bustling array of bars and restaurants. Accommodation is arranged for the evening. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Washington
Following breakfast, we set out to explore the highlights of Washington, D.C. Our journey begins with a drive past the Pentagon, leading to our first photographic opportunity at the Iwo Jima Memorial in Virginia. Next, we visit several powerful monuments: the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Our itinerary then takes us to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, after which we make a photo stop at the iconic White House. Following this, we travel around the Capitol to reach the renowned museum district of Washington.In the afternoon, we will enjoy a scenic boat trip along the Potomac River, offering views of some of the city's most distinguished landmarks from a unique perspective. Please note that the river cruise is unavailable from October to March due to weather conditions. After our river adventure, we return to the hotel. As night falls, you have the option to join an evening tour of Washington's illuminated sights before concluding our day with a return to our accommodation.
Day 3 - Washington - Lancaster USA - New York
After breakfast, we depart from Washington and head towards Lancaster. En route, we'll explore the scenic Amish countryside, where you'll have the opportunity to see the distinctive farms and traditional 18th-century way of life that characterise this community. We'll pause for lunch before continuing our journey to New York. Upon arrival in the afternoon, you're free to settle in and begin your exploration of the vibrant city that never sleeps.
Day 4 - New York
After breakfast, we embark on an extensive tour of New York City, exploring the diverse charm of its neighbourhoods within upper, mid, and lower Manhattan. With visits to the iconic Wall Street, the bustling Rockefeller Center, and the magnificent St. Patricks Cathedral, we delve into the essence of the city's vibrant culture. Well journey through the serene expanses of Central Park and pass by Columbus Circle and the soaring AOL/Time Warner Building. Along the way, youll experience the eclectic vibe of Greenwich Village, the unique allure of Little Italy, and capture a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from Battery Park. In the evening, well whisk you away to the unforgettable hustle and bustle of Times Square, where you'll find yourself amidst the dazzling lights of Broadway's vibrant theatre scene. Please note, if your hotel is situated in the Times Square area, the transfer will not be provided.
Day 5 - New York - Boston
We set off for Boston, Massachusetts, arriving by midday to begin a panoramic tour of this pivotal city in the history of American independence. We'll explore the charming neighbourhood of Beacon Hill and visit the esteemed Harvard University. Our journey continues through the serene Boston Common gardens and the historic Trinity Church. We conclude our exploration with some free time at Quincy Market, a lively spot by the docks bustling with shops and eateries. Here, you'll have an opportunity to soak in the vibrant atmosphere before we head back to the hotel for the night.
Day 6 - Boston - Woodstock - Montreal
After breakfast, we journey through the picturesque landscapes of New Hampshire and Vermont, renowned for their stunning scenery. Our route includes a stop in Woodstock, Vermont, a charming town where you'll find beautifully restored Georgian homes. As our journey continues, we cross the Canadian border and proceed to Montreal, where we'll check into our accommodation for the night.
Day 7 - Montreal - Quebec
We start our day in Montreal with a morning panoramic tour. We explore some of the city's key landmarks, including the expansive Parc Mont Royal, the impressive St. Joseph's Oratory, and the stunning cathedral. After enjoying lunch, we set out for Quebec. Upon arrival, you'll settle into your accommodation, ready for the adventures that lie ahead.
Day 8 - Quebec
After breakfast, we embark on a panoramic tour of Quebec City, where we'll explore some of its most significant landmarks, including the iconic Chteau Frontenac, vibrant Place Royale, the revered Sainte Anne de Beaupr, and the historic Citadelle. In the afternoon, you will enjoy free timeconsider visiting the breathtaking Montmorency Falls, renowned for their impressive height and natural beauty.
Day 9 - Quebec - Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts - Mont-Tremblant - Ottawa
After breakfast, we embark on a scenic journey through the picturesque Canadian landscapes, starting with the enchanting Laurentian Hills. Our first stop is the delightful town of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, where you can enjoy the quaint charm of this area. We then proceed to the renowned Mont-Tremblant, celebrated for its world-class ski resort. After appreciating the stunning views, we continue our trip to Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, where we will spend the night.
Day 10 - Ottawa - Thousand Islands - Toronto
Today, after enjoying breakfast, we begin our exploration of Ottawa with a city tour. We visit the iconic Rideau Canal and the Parliament Buildings, where you can witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony if you're travelling in July or August. Following our tour of the nation's capital, we head to Gananoque. Here, we will embark on a picturesque cruise through the stunning river landscape of the St. Lawrence and the Thousand Islands. After taking in the breathtaking views, we continue southward, arriving at our hotel in Toronto in the late afternoon. Enjoy your evening at leisure as you settle in and explore the vibrant city around you.
Day 11 - Toronto
Following breakfast, we embark on a sightseeing tour of Toronto, exploring key attractions such as Chinatown, City Hall, the Financial District, Eaton Centre, and the historic Casa Loma. In the afternoon, youll have the opportunity to visit the CN Tower for an unparalleled view of the city, shop at Eaton Centre, or wander through the extensive Underground City, boasting 25 kilometres of shopping galleries beneath the financial district. As evening approaches, you may wish to explore Queens Quay, a vibrant waterfront area teeming with restaurants. We then return for our overnight accommodation.
Day 12 - Toronto - Niagara-on-the-Lake - Niagara Falls
Following breakfast, we journey to the picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, known for its charming streets and lovely boutiques. After spending some time exploring, we proceed to the iconic Niagara Falls. Here, we will pause for photos at the remarkable Floral Clock before embarking on the Hornblower Niagara Cruise. This boat tour takes you thrillingly close to the base of the magnificent falls, offering a unique perspective. Afterwards, you'll have the opportunity to explore the various attractions on Clifton Hill at your own pace. We conclude the day with our arrival at the hotel in Niagara Falls later in the afternoon.
Day 13 - Niagara Falls - Corning - New York
Following breakfast, we set off towards New York. En route, we'll halt at Corning, known for its remarkable collection of glass artefacts the largest globally. If you're interested, there's an opportunity to explore the museum's fascinating exhibits before we continue our journey to New York.
Day 14 - New York
Following breakfast on your final day in New York, our services conclude. You'll have time to reflect on your journey and consider the myriad experiences gathered during your travels.
