Day 1 - Washington
Welcome to Washington! Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel where you can find information regarding the start of your journey, either in the afternoon or via the information signs at the hotel reception. In the evening, we will take you to vibrant Georgetown, a lively district teeming with bars and restaurants. Here, you can unwind and enjoy the local nightlife. We'll then return to the hotel for your overnight stay. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Washington
On the second day of our journey, after enjoying a hearty breakfast, we set off to explore the vibrant city of Washington D.C. As we make our way, we'll pass by the impressive Pentagon, offering a chance for photographs at the Iwo Jima Memorial in Virginia. Our tour then continues with visits to the poignant Lincoln, Korea, and Vietnam Memorials. We'll also stop by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts before making a brief photo stop at the iconic White House. Our exploration concludes as we encircle the Capitol, finishing up in Washingtons renowned museum district.In the afternoon, we embark on a delightful boat trip along the Potomac River, providing unique views of the city's key landmarks. Following this aquatic adventure, we return to the hotel to refresh. The evening brings an optional opportunity to see Washington by night, a tour that unveils the city in a different light before we retire for the evening at our accommodation. Please note, the Potomac River boat tour is available from April to September, as it doesn't operate during the cooler months from October to March.
Day 3 - Washington - Lancaster USA - New York
Following breakfast, we set off from Washington, making our way to Lancaster. Here, you will have the unique opportunity to observe the Amish community, known for their simple lifestyle reflecting 18th-century traditions and farming techniques. We'll pause along the route for lunch. Our journey continues towards New York, with an anticipated arrival in the afternoon, allowing you some time to start exploring the city's vibrant atmosphere.
Day 4 - New York
Following breakfast, we embark on a panoramic tour of New York City, exploring the dynamic districts of Upper, Mid, and Lower Manhattan. Our journey includes visits to iconic sites such as Wall Street, Rockefeller Centre, and St. Patricks Cathedral. We stroll through Central Park, pass through Columbus Circle, and admire the soaring AOL Time Warner Building. Discover the eclectic charm of Greenwich Village and the vibrant atmosphere of Little Italy. At Battery Park, take in the stunning view of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. As the evening descends, we will transfer you to Times Square, the bustling heart of New York City, renowned for its Broadway musicals and dazzling lights. Please note, if your accommodation is already located in the Times Square area, an additional transfer will not be necessary.
Day 5 - New York - Boston
On the morning of Day 5, we set off for Boston, Massachusetts. Upon our midday arrival, we'll embark on a panoramic tour of this historic city, a pivotal location in America's journey to Independence. Discover Beacon Hill's charming streets and explore the prestigious grounds of Harvard University. We'll also enjoy the scenic beauty of Boston Common and admire the stunning architecture of Trinity Church. The tour concludes at Quincy Market a bustling hub by the docks filled with shops and eateries where you'll have some free time to wander. After taking in the vibrant atmosphere, we'll return to the hotel for our accommodation.
Day 6 - Boston - Woodstock - Montreal
Following breakfast, we journey through two Eastern US states known for their breathtaking landscapes: New Hampshire and Vermont. En route, we stop at the charming town of Woodstock in Vermont, famous for its beautifully restored Georgian houses. After taking in the picturesque setting, we continue our drive north, crossing the Canadian border to reach Montreal, where we will stay overnight.
Day 7 - Montreal - Quebec
After breakfast, we begin a panoramic tour of Montreal, exploring notable sites such as Parc Mont Royal, St. Joseph's Oratory, and the Cathedral. This vibrant city combines French and English influences, and our guided exploration offers insights into its unique character and history. After enjoying lunch and some free time to savour the local cuisine, we set off for Quebec. Upon arrival, we'll settle into our accommodation, leaving you free to unwind or start discovering this historic city at your leisure.
Day 8 - Quebec
Following breakfast, we'll embark on a morning panoramic tour of Quebec City, where we'll explore some of its most significant landmarks. You'll have the opportunity to see the iconic Chteau Frontenac, the historic Place Royale, the revered Sainte Anne de Beaupr, and the formidable Citadelle. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure, and we suggest visiting the stunning Montmorency Falls, a natural spectacle within easy reach.
Day 9 - Quebec - Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts - Mont-Tremblant - Ottawa
After breakfast, we embark on a scenic journey through the stunning Canadian countryside. First, we visit the charming town of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, nestled within the Laurentian Hills. This picturesque area is known for its beautiful landscapes and inviting atmosphere. We then proceed to Mont-Tremblant, renowned for its world-famous ski resort and captivating natural beauty. Continuing on, we head towards Ottawa, the vibrant capital city of Canada, where we will settle in for the night.
Day 10 - Ottawa - Thousand Islands - Toronto
Following breakfast, we'll embark on a comprehensive tour of Ottawa, exploring the city's highlights, including the scenic Rideau Canal and the iconic Parliament Buildings. If youre visiting in July or August, you can witness the traditional Changing of the Guard ceremony. Our journey then takes us to Gananoque, where well enjoy a picturesque cruise, revealing stunning views of the St. Lawrence River and the renowned Thousand Islands. Upon disembarking, well head south, arriving at our hotel in Toronto late in the afternoon.
Day 11 - Toronto
After enjoying breakfast, we'll embark on a tour of Toronto, offering you a glimpse into the city's vibrant districts. We'll explore Chinatown, City Hall, and the bustling Financial District, among other significant sites. You'll also have the opportunity to visit Eaton Centre for some shopping, admire the architectural beauty of Casa Loma, and appreciate the city's major tourist attractions. In the afternoon, consider the option to ascend the CN Tower for a breathtaking view, indulge in more shopping at Eaton Centre, or wander through the vast Underground City, which features 25 km of shopping galleries beneath the Financial District. As evening falls, make your way to Queens Quay, a lively area brimming with restaurants and entertainment perfect for a leisurely night out. We'll then return to our accommodation for the night.
Day 12 - Toronto - Niagara-on-the-Lake - Niagara Falls
Following breakfast, we'll travel to the enchanting town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, where you'll have some time to explore its charming streets. From there, we continue to Niagara Falls, an iconic natural wonder. Our first stop will be to photograph the impressive Floral Clock before boarding the Hornblower Niagara Cruise. This popular boat tour takes us right to the base of the awe-inspiring falls, offering an unforgettable experience. Afterwards, you'll have some free time to discover the attractions at Clifton Hill. We'll conclude the day by arriving at our hotel in Niagara Falls in the late afternoon.
Day 13 - Niagara Falls - Detroit
Entering Day 13, we continue our journey through Canada's scenic landscapes. As we arrive in Windsor, you'll have the chance to explore its Riverfront with stunning views of Detroit across the water. Our travels take us to the renowned Henry Ford Museum, where admission is included. Immerse yourself in the fascinating exhibits showcasing the history of American innovation and industry. Later, we'll venture into the vibrant district of Greektown, offering a delightful mix of cultural flair and dining options. You can enjoy dinner at one of the many lively eateries before we return to the hotel for the night.
Day 14 - Detroit - Saugatuck - Chicago
In the morning, we embark on a journey across the state of Michigan, arriving in the charming town of Saugatuck. You'll have the opportunity to explore its delightful shopping streets and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Our adventure continues as we head towards Chicago. Once we arrive in the afternoon, we provide a transfer to Millennium Park and the renowned Loop district, where you'll be enthralled by its theatres and vibrant neon lights. Feel free to explore and choose a spot for dinner before we settle in for the evening. Accommodation is included.
Day 15 - Chicago
After breakfast, we embark on a panoramic tour of Chicago, highlighting its key attractions. We start with the New Millennium Park, home to fascinating public art installations, and then visit the iconic Willis Tower. We proceed through Grant Park and experience the unique elevated train system known as 'The Loop'. Downtown offers a bustling atmosphere, and as we head to the Museum Campus, youll spot the Adler Planetarium, The Field Museum of Natural History, and the Shedd Aquarium. We cross the famous bridges over the Chicago River, culminating with a city view from the lake, showcasing Chicago's stunning skyline. You have the rest of the morning free to explore the city centre or enjoy the views from the Willis Tower. Lunch is at your leisure, as is a visit to the historic Navy Pieronce the largest pier globally, now a vibrant hub of entertainment.
