Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Denver
Join the tour in the lobby of our start hotel, before we begin our exploration of the Mile-High City, where your local expert will introduce you to the cultural and architectural highlights of Denver. Our first stop is historic Larimer Square, lined with Victorian buildings, independent shops, and welcoming cafés. We then explore the vibrant streets of LoDo (Lower Downtown), known for its art galleries, breweries, and lively dining scene.
At the beautifully restored Union Station, you’ll see how Denver’s past meets the present in one of the city's most iconic landmarks. We also visit the Brown Palace Hotel, a striking example of late 19th-century architecture and one of Denver’s oldest operating hotels.
From there, we make our way to the Colorado Convention Center to snap a group photo with the city’s famous 40-foot-tall Big Blue Bear sculpture. Later, we venture into the nearby River North Art District (RiNo), where colourful murals by local artists transform alleyways into open-air galleries. We’ll stop at Denver Central Market, a popular food hall offering a variety of local specialities.
We round off the day with sweeping views of the city skyline from the Denver Tech Center observation deck.
Day 2 - Rocky Mountain National Park
Denver - Rocky National Park. Today we leave the city behind and journey into the heart of the Rockies. As we climb through forested slopes and winding roads, you’ll notice the landscape change dramatically with the altitude.
On arrival at Rocky Mountain National Park, you’ll have time to explore its alpine beauty. Walk scenic trails such as Bear Lake Loop or Alberta Falls, keep an eye out for local wildlife, or take in the high-altitude views from Trail Ridge Road. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery.
Later, we head to the mountain town of Estes Park for some free time and shopping. You may also wish to visit the famous Stanley Hotel – the inspiration for Stephen King’s The Shining – which adds a touch of mystery to this otherwise peaceful town.
Day 3 - Garden of the Gods & Colorado Springs
Denver - Colorado Springs - Garden of The Gods - Denver. This morning, we travel south to Colorado Springs, following the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Along the way, your guide will share stories of famous explorers and the transformation of this region over time.
Our destination is Garden of the Gods – a remarkable public park known for its towering red rock formations and rich cultural history. On an intermediate-level hike, you’ll learn about the people who’ve called this land home for millennia, including Native American tribes such as the Ute, early gold-seeking settlers, and those who fought to preserve its natural beauty.
Notable formations include the Three Graces, Cathedral Spires, and the gravity-defying Balanced Rock. Depending on the season, wildlife such as mule deer, bighorn sheep, and local birdlife may also make an appearance.
Midday, we pause for lunch in nearby Manitou Springs, a charming historic town known for its mineral springs, Victorian architecture, and artsy shops. Returning to Denver, our tour ends with drop off at the airport.
