Day 1 - Chicago
Arriving in Chicago, you'll be greeted and transferred to your hotel, where you can enjoy some leisure time. In the afternoon, we'll provide you with essential information about the beginning of your tour, detailed either in the welcome meeting or through notices found at the hotel reception. Later in the day, we'll take you to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Millennium Park and The Loop, renowned for its theatres and dazzling neon lights. There's ample time to savour dinner and explore at your own pace before settling in for the night. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Chicago
Following breakfast, we embark on a panoramic tour of Chicago, showcasing its most iconic sights. Our journey takes us through the New Millennium Park and past the towering Willis Tower. We'll also explore Grant Park and witness the elevated train in the renowned Loop area. As we traverse Downtown, we'll visit the Museum Campus, home to the Adler Planetarium, the Field Museum of Natural History, and the Shedd Aquarium. We'll then cross over the Chicago River, offering breathtaking views of the city from the lakefront.The remainder of the morning is yours to enjoy at leisure. Consider strolling through the city centre or ascending the Willis Tower for sweeping city views. After lunch, perhaps head to Navy Pier, once the largest pier globally when it opened in 1916, and now a vibrant hub of entertainment and leisure. You might choose to partake in a water tour along the stunning Chicago River, famed for its diverse and impressive architecture. Return to your accommodation for the night, filled with memorable experiences of the Windy City.
Day 3 - Chicago - Cleveland
We depart early from Chicago, heading towards Cleveland. We'll arrive in the late afternoon, allowing you some free time to explore at your leisure. You might consider visiting the renowned Cleveland Museum of Art, strolling through the charming neighbourhood of Little Italy with its delightful array of restaurants, or simply discovering Downtown Cleveland. In the evening, we recommend enjoying a meal and the lively atmosphere along 4th Street and Euclid Avenue. We then return to the hotel for the night.
Day 4 - Cleveland - Niagara Falls
Following breakfast, well embark on a brief panoramic tour of Cleveland, offering an overview of this vibrant city. You might want to explore the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, a true icon of American culture that chronicles the history and evolution of rock music from its beginnings to the modern day. After lunch, we make our way to Niagara Falls, arriving in the late afternoon. Accommodation arrangements have been made for our stay.
Day 5 - Niagara Falls
Following breakfast, we head to Niagara Falls, starting with a visit to Goat Island, where you can enjoy an up-close view of the rapids and the iconic Horseshoe Falls. We then embark on the famous "Maid of the Mist," a small boat that ventures to the base of these breathtaking waterfalls, offering an unforgettable experience. Later in the afternoon, we explore one of the renowned shopping outlets in the area. Afterwards, we return to our hotel. Please note, the Maid of the Mist operates from April to September due to seasonal weather conditions.
Day 6 - Niagara Falls - Corning - New York
After breakfast, we continue our journey towards New York, making a stop at Corning, a town renowned for its impressive collection of glass art. Here, you have the opportunity to explore the remarkable museum dedicated to these exquisite glass objects. We then proceed to New York, where the vibrant energy of the city awaits.
Day 7 - New York
After breakfast, we'll embark on a panoramic tour of New York City, exploring the diverse neighbourhoods of Manhattan from top to bottom. Our tour includes iconic landmarks such as Wall Street, the bustling financial hub, and Rockefeller Center, renowned for its seasonal attractions. We'll stop by St. Patrick's Cathedral, an exquisite example of Gothic Revival architecture, and take a leisurely drive through the serene expanse of Central Park. Further highlights include Columbus Circle, the dynamic heart of Manhattan, and the AOL Time Warner Building. We'll traverse the famous streets of Greenwich Village, the historic charm of Little Italy, and end at Battery Park, where you can enjoy sweeping views of the Statue of Liberty. In the evening, we provide a transfer to the vibrant Times Square. Known as the city's beating heart, it dazzles with its bright lights and lively atmosphere, offering you a chance to experience the world-renowned Broadway musicals and theatrical performances. Note that if your confirmed hotel is located in the Times Square area, no additional transfer will be available.
Day 8 - New York - Philadephia - Washington
Today we journey to Philadelphia, where we'll visit Independence National Park, home to the iconic Liberty Bella symbol of American freedom. After soaking in this piece of history, we continue on to Washington D.C., the nation's capital. Upon arrival, we'll immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Georgetown, a lively neighbourhood teeming with bars and restaurants. Here, you can explore the bustling streets at your leisure. We will arrange accommodation for your stay.
Day 9 - Washington
After breakfast, we set off to explore Washington, D.C. Our tour begins with a drive past the Pentagon, offering a chance to capture a photograph at the Iwo Jima Memorial, both located in Virginia. We then visit several significant memorials, including those dedicated to Lincoln, Korea, and Vietnam. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is also on our itinerary, followed by a photo opportunity outside the White House. Our route then takes us around the Capitol, concluding in the museum district of Washington. In the afternoon, we embark on a leisurely boat excursion along the Potomac River, providing an excellent vantage point for observing some of the city's iconic landmarks. Following the cruise, we return to our hotel. For those interested, an optional evening tour offers the opportunity to experience Washington's illuminated sights before we head back to our accommodation. Please note, the Potomac River boat tour is unavailable from October to March due to weather conditions.
Day 10 - Washington
After breakfast, our services conclude, marking the end of your journey. Feel free to extend your time in Washington and explore at your own pace. Safe travels!
