Our day begins at the Gumusler Monastery, an intriguing 7th-century underground structure adorned with some of Turkey's finest Byzantine frescoes. We then venture to Kaymakli, where we'll explore the extensive underground city that once sheltered up to 30,000 inhabitants. On our fourth day, we will explore the farther reaches of Cappadocia, beginning with a visit to the picturesque Ihlara Valley. Known for its cool waters and a landscape dotted with rock-cut churches and villages, the valley offers a unique glimpse into the area's historical architecture. As we continue, we will visit a 13th-century caravanserai, which served as a resting place for merchants and travellers along the ancient trade routes.
