Day 1 - Stockholm
Upon your arrival in Stockholm, we'll arrange your transfer to the hotel, granting you some free time to settle in and start exploring this vibrant Scandinavian city at your own pace. In the afternoon, please check the hotel reception area for vital information about the start of your upcoming adventure, ensuring you're fully prepared for the days ahead. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Stockholm
Today, we will embark on an extensive tour of Stockholm, often hailed as the capital of Sweden, built elegantly across 14 interlinked islands. We begin with a visit to Gamla Stan, or 'the city between bridges,' the vibrant old town brimming with historic architecture. Within this area lies the Nobel Prize Museum, situated beside the primary square, Stortorget, itself a tribute to Nobel Prize laureates. We'll also visit the magnificent Cathedral and the Royal Palace. When possible, we shall pause at Fjllgatan for striking views over the city. The afternoon is yours to delve deeper into Stockholm's offerings. We recommend exploring its wide array of museums and parks. Alternatively, you might choose to visit the City Hall and the fascinating Vasa Museum.
Day 3 - Stockholm - Stockholm - Turku Ferry
On your third day in Stockholm, enjoy the city at your own pace. Take advantage of this free day to uncover more of the Swedish capital's charm, perhaps exploring additional landmarks, indulging in local cuisine, or strolling through one of its beautiful parks. As evening falls, we'll board a modern ferry for an overnight voyage to Finland, where you'll settle into a comfortable double en-suite cabin for the journey.
Day 4 - Stockholm - Turku Ferry - Naantali - Helsinki
As our ferry arrives in Finland, it's worth rising early to witness a stunning sunrise from the ship's deck, offering a view of the land Islands' enchanting forested landscapes. After disembarking in Turku, you'll have free time to explore this Finnish city with its distinctive Swedish influence. We'll then head to Naantali, a picturesque coastal town renowned for its charming seaside wooden houses. Continuing our adventure, well arrive in Helsinki around midday. The afternoon is yours to discover the Finnish capital at your own pace. Explore the vibrant old market, admire the city's Russian-influenced architecture, or visit some of Helsinki's captivating churches.
Day 5 - Helsinki - Helsinki - Tallinn Ferry - Tallinn
We’ll embark on an included boat trip to the Suomenlinna Islands, six islands home to a magnificent fortress that once protected the city’s entrance and is now a World Heritage Site. Take some time to explore, crossing the islands via pedestrian bridges. In the afternoon, we’ll board a ferry to Estonia, a journey of about 2 hours and 30 minutes. As we depart from Helsinki, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding islands. In the evening, we’ll arrive in Tallinn.
Day 6 - Tallinn
The capital of Estonia is a wonderful city that has preserved its medieval core intact. You´ll enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, its walls, churches, squares, and its medieval streets filled with tourist attractions. Free time in the afternoon.
Day 7 - Tallinn - Parnu - Turaida - Sigulda - Salaspils - Riga
We’ll travel through forests and plains to reach Parnu, a popular seaside resort. From there, we’ll continue to Latvia. You can enjoy an included lunch just before visiting the medieval Turaida Castle (admission included) surrounded by a large park with sculptures. Next, you can take a walk in Sigulda, a small and charming town situated amidst a beautiful landscape. Our journey will continue towards Riga, with a stop at the Salaspils Memorial, located at the site of a former concentration camp from the Nazi period. Since 1967, it has been one of the largest monumental complexes in Europe, commemorating the victims of this regime. We’ll arrive in Riga in the evening.
Day 8 - Riga
You’ll enjoy an included panoramic tour of this capital, the most populous city in the Baltic states, where traces of the Soviet era are still visible. Riga is renowned not only for its cultural center but also for its medieval Historic Center and Art Nouveau architecture. The afternoon will be free for you to explore at your leisure.
Day 9 - Riga - Rundale - Vilnius
We’ll depart for Lithuania early in the morning. On our way there, we’ll visit the Baroque Palace of Rundale, built by the same architect who designed the Saint Petersburg’s Hermitage Museum. We’ll cross over into Lithuania. This country has a strong Catholic influence, highlighted by the impressive Hill of Crosses, with thousands of crosses of all sizes. Lunch will be included along our route. Afterwards, we’ll visit Trakai, a gorgeous castle located on an island in a lake, close to Vilnius. We’ll finish the day in Vilnius.Note: Depending on the duration of daylight, the visit to Trakai may take place on Wednesday after exploring the city.
Day 10 - Vilnius
We’ll begin with a panoramic tour of the city built on seven hills, often compared to Rome. You’ll discover its Baroque churches, historic walls, grand castle, bustling commercial streets in the center, and 1,200 medieval houses. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore at your leisure.
Day 11 - Vilnius - Grutas Park - Augustw - Warsaw
We’ll continue our journey to Poland. Our first stop will be Grutas Park, also known as “Stalin’s World,” which features 86 statues from the Soviet era. We’ll then stop for lunch in the charming lakeside town of Augustów. Afterward, we’ll head to central Poland, arriving in Warsaw by the end of the day.
Day 12 - Warsaw - Poznan
In the morning, we’ll enjoy a panoramic tour of Warsaw with a local guide. This city of nearly two million people, Poland’s political and economic hub, is both classic and modern, traditional and cosmopolitan, continually reborn. We’ll explore the charming Old Town, with its historic buildings, Royal Palace, and cobblestone streets, all beautifully restored after their destruction in World War II and now recognized as a World Heritage Site. We’ll also visit the iconic Palace of Culture, a skyscraper gifted by the Soviet Union, reflect on the former largest Jewish ghetto in Europe, and stroll through Lazienkowski Park, home to the Chopin Monument. At around 2:30 p.m., after some time for a walk and lunch, we’ll depart for Pomerania until we reach our next stop: Poznan, an active city with a magnificent main square and vibrant atmosphere. You’ll have some time to explore.
Day 13 - Poznan - Berlin
We’ll depart early from Poznan, traveling through the vast plains to Germany. We’ll arrive in Berlin around 11:30 a.m.
Day 14 - Berlin
Immerse yourself in the local culture with a guided panoramic tour of Berlin, the captivating capital of Germany. We’ll see the historic center, Museum Island, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, the shopping streets and the city’s beautiful parks. Our visit will also include stops at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum. For an optional excursion, you can visit Potsdam and its stunning palaces.
Day 15 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
We’ll journey through forests towards Dresden, a city renowned for its exceptional architectural and artistic heritage, making it one of Germany’s top tourist destinations. You’ll have time to explore some of the impressive palaces and enjoy lunch at one of its many restaurants and coffee shops. Later, we’ll depart for the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague. We’ll head to the Old Town Square, a vibrant area full of energy and tourist activities, ideal for your first experience of Prague. Dine at one of the numerous restaurants offering a variety of international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian. Afterwards, we’ll return to the hotel.
Day 16 - Prague
Today, we’ll visit the capital, Prague, the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our local tour guide will lead an informative panoramic tour, highlighting the city’s most outstanding monuments. During the tour, there will be a visit to Prague Castle (admission included). After that, enjoy a boat ride on the Vltava River (included). In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore the city on your own.
Day 17 - Prague
After breakfast, our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories.
