Day 1 - Bentota - Kalutara - M Lavinia - Mawanella - Giragama - Kandy
After breakfast at your beach hotel in Bentota, we begin the journey towards Kandy. En route, we stop at Mawanella to visit a spice garden, where you can learn about local herbs and spices. Next, we visit a tea factory in Giragama for an authentic experienceobserve the tea processing stages before tasting a fresh cup of Ceylon Tea straight from the estate. We continue to Kandy for an included lunch and check-in at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 2 - Kandy
After breakfast at the hotel, spend the late afternoon visiting the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, an important Kandyan heritage site housing a revered relic of Lord Buddha. Explore the compact lakeside town of Kandy, including the modern Kandy City Centre with its range of shops, a bustling bazaar, an arts and crafts centre, and a gem museum with lapidary displays. Wander through the vibrant Kandy market, alive with fresh fruits and vegetables. In the evening, enjoy a cultural show featuring traditional music and drumming that celebrates Sri Lankas rich heritage. After the performance, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 3 - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast at the hotel, we travel to Nuwara Eliya, stopping en route to visit a tea factory. Sri Lankas tea industry is world-renowned, and here youll see the traditional process of producing Ceylon Tea. Watch the machinery in action and enjoy the distinctive aroma before savouring a freshly brewed cup. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, we take a short walking tour through the town, where green lawns and red-brick buildings offer charming views of the surrounding countryside. Lunch is included in Nuwara Eliya. Afterward, we return to the hotel to relax and enjoy dinner. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 4 - Nuwara Eliya - Kitulgala - Bentota - Kalutara
After breakfast, we travel to Kitulgala for an exhilarating white water rafting experience. Along the way, you will pass the scenic river location where the film The Bridge on the River Kwai was shot. After the rafting adventure, we return to your beach hotel for a relaxing evening.
