Day 1 - Bentota - Negombo - Giragama - Kandy
After breakfast at your beach hotel, begin your journey to Kandy. En route, stop at Giragama to visit a tea plantation and factory. Here, we watch the tea processing stages before sampling a fresh cup of authentic Ceylon tea straight from the estate. Following this, enjoy lunch at The Kandyan Arts, included in your itinerary. Continue to Kandy for a three-hour city tour, centred around the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a significant site in Sri Lankas Buddhist heritage. You will also explore the lakeside town, including the Kandy City Centre with its modern shops, bustling bazaar, arts and crafts centre, gem museum, and lapidary. Wander through the vibrant Kandy market, alive with fresh produce and local colour. In the evening, we attend a cultural show featuring traditional music and drumming, offering insight into the regions rich heritage. After the days activities, return to your hotel in Kandy for check-in and a well-earned rest.
Day 2 - Kandy - Peradeniya - Mawanella - Bentota - Negombo
After breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Botanical Gardens, a 147-acre sanctuary featuring manicured lawns, elegant pavilions and an octagonal conservatory. You can enjoy a leisurely walk through the lush, landscaped grounds, including highlights such as the orchid house and a giant Javan fig tree. Nearby, a cafeteria offers a convenient spot to rest before exploring further. Afterwards, we travel to Mawanella to visit a spice garden, where you will learn about the therapeutic properties and processing of various spices while enjoying a refreshing cup of herbal tea. Following this, we return to your beach hotel for the evening.

'Single' prices are applicable to anyone wanting the privacy of their own room. 'Triple' prices are per person when there are 3 people on the same booking sharing a room. 'Shared' prices are for solo travellers who are happy to share with another solo traveller of the same sex in a twin room - a single room will be provided at no additional cost if there are no suitable travellers to share with.
