Day 1 - Madrid
Welcome to Madrid! Upon landing at the airport, we will be on hand to transfer you to your hotel. You will have some free time to unwind before the tour formally starts. Be sure to check the hotel reception area for signs indicating details about the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers. Later, we will provide a transfer to Plaza Mayor and the vibrant neighbourhood of La Latina, renowned for its lively nightlife and a variety of tapas restaurants. Here, you can choose to dine at a restaurant of your liking, with options such as Indian, Chinese, Spanish, and Middle Eastern cuisines available for you to explore. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Madrid
On our second day in Madrid, we begin with an engaging tour of the city's central area. We will explore iconic sights such as the Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, Puerta de Alcal, Plaza de Coln, and the ever-popular Plaza Mayor. Our journey continues with a visit to the citys enchanting Retiro Parka green sanctuary nestled in the heart of Madrid. Here, we will take in the scenic lake and view the glittering Palacio de Cristal. A highlight of the day is our visit to the Santiago Bernabu Stadium, home of Real Madrid, widely regarded as one of the top football clubs globally. You have the freedom to spend the afternoon as you wish, whether it be exploring more of Madrid or relaxing at a nearby caf. This evening, we will arrange your transfer back to the hotel.
Day 3 - Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Barcelona
On the third day of our journey, we set off from Madrid, traversing the scenic landscapes of Castile towards the region of Aragon. Our first stop is in Zaragoza, where we'll marvel at the impressive Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. This iconic structure is a significant religious and architectural landmark, deeply rooted in local history. Continuing our journey, we'll visit the tranquil Poblet Abbey, one of the world's finest preserved medieval monasteries, with your entry tickets included. Later, we'll proceed to Barcelona, arriving in the evening, ready to explore this vibrant city.
Day 4 - Barcelona
We begin our day with a captivating panoramic tour of Barcelona, a city celebrated for its unique blend of architectural brilliance, vibrant culture, and thrilling history. Situated along the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona is renowned for Antoni Gaud's extraordinary modernist structures and its dynamic avenues, such as the iconic Ramblas. Your morning will be filled with exploration and insight into the events that have shaped this city, including the prestigious Universal Exposition and the memorable Olympics held here. The afternoon offers you the freedom to delve deeper into the citys attractions at your own pace. As evening approaches, we'll take you to Maremagnum, a lively entertainment and dining complex nestled by the water, close to Plaza de Coln. Here, you can take a leisurely stroll and choose from a delightful range of dining options to enjoy your evening.
Day 5 - Barcelona - Peniscola - Valencia
We continue our journey south along the Mediterranean coast. Our first stop is the enchanting medieval town of Pescola, beautifully nestled between sandy beaches and the sea. Here, you'll have time to wander the ancient cobblestone streets and appreciate the stunning views. We then proceed to Valencia, a city renowned for its blend of history and modern innovation. Our arrival is timed perfectly for lunch, after which a local guide will lead you through the city, exploring its 2000-year-old history. You'll see a contrast of eras, from ancient monuments to the striking contemporary architecture of the City of Arts and Sciences. Post-tour, you have free time to delve deeper into the city at your own pace. In the evening, enjoy a traditional local dinner, offering an authentic taste of the region.
Day 6 - Valencia - Alicante - Caravaca de la Cruz - Granada
Today, we continue our journey to Alicante, a coastal gem where you will have time for a relaxing stroll along its beautiful shores. After lunch, we will head to the region of Murcia to explore the sacred city of Caravaca de la Cruz, one of the few places worldwide recognised as a Holy City by the Roman Catholic Church. The church here is known for housing a revered relic of the True Cross. We include a scenic ride on a tourist train to take you through the historic area, offering a unique perspective on this spiritual place. Later, our travels lead us through charming landscapes as we journey towards Andalusia, concluding the day in the vibrant city of Granada, where a delightful dinner awaits you.
Day 7 - Granada
We'll spend a full day in Granada, exploring if your tour includes tickets, the breathtaking Alhambra Palace and its enchanting Generalife Gardens, both iconic examples of the region's Arab heritage. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to wander through the city and discover its treasures, such as the cathedral, which is the final resting place of the Catholic Monarchs. Please note that access to the Alhambra is strictly controlled by law, with tickets allocated upon finalising your tour reservation. It is critical to provide accurate personal information, including your full name and passport or ID number, when booking. Be mindful that ticket charges are non-refundable, even if plans change. In the rare event that visiting the Alhambra is not feasible, we will instead explore the Royal Alczar of Seville, a site of similar historical and architectural importance.
Day 8 - Granada - Malaga - Marbella - Ronda - Seville
Upon departing Granada, we'll head towards the sun-drenched Costa del Sol, with our first stop in Malaga. Here, you'll have the chance to explore the historic district, renowned for its impressive cathedral and the well-regarded Picasso Museum. We'll then proceed along the scenic coastal highway, where the sparkling Mediterranean provides a stunning backdrop. Our journey continues to Puerto Bans in Marbella, a glamorous harbour famous for its luxury yachts and high-end boutiques. In the afternoon, we venture onwards through the mountains, regaled with tales of local banditry, before arriving in Ronda. This charming town is perched dramatically on a cliff and is divided by a deep gorge. We will complete our day with a drive to Seville, arriving in the evening where a savoury dinner awaits at our hotel.
Day 9 - Seville
We start our day in Seville with a guided exploration of the city. You'll visit iconic landmarks, such as the extraordinary cathedral, known for its majestic Giralda bell tower, and enjoy views from the banks of the Guadalquivir River. We will also wander through the lively and colourful neighbourhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana. Following the tour, enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Guadalquivir, offering stunning panoramic vistas of the cityscape. In the evening, you'll have the opportunity to attend a traditional flamenco show, immersing yourself in the passionate rhythms and vibrant culture of Andalusia.
Day 10 - Seville - Merida - Evora - Lisbon
As we depart Seville, we'll journey through the gentle landscapes of rolling hills and expansive pastures, making our way towards the historic region of Extremadura. Our first stop will be in Mrida, where you can explore the remarkable Archaeological Ensemblehome to an exceptionally preserved Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a fascinating glimpse into the region's Roman past. Enjoy some free time to wander through Mrida's vibrant pedestrianised historic centre, brimming with local charm and enticing restaurants. Later, well continue our journey into Portugal, pausing in vora, another World Heritage Site. This enchanting city is renowned for its whitewashed streets and grand Renaissance palaces. Our day concludes with an evening arrival in Lisbon, where your adventures continue.
Day 11 - Lisbon
In the morning, well set off on a captivating tour of Lisbon, a city known for its seven hills, intricate alleyways, and distinctive tiles that capture the charm of Portugal. Embrace the "saudade" mood that characterises the city while you bask in the striking Atlantic light. Our itinerary includes a visit to the historic Belm district, the starting point for Portuguese explorers who embarked on their epic oceanic voyages in the 15th century. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisureyou might choose to wander the Bairro Alto, enjoying its stunning viewpoint, or perhaps opt for an excursion to the enchanting towns of Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril. In the evening, well ensure a convenient return to the hotel from the bustling Restauradores Square, a lively area brimming with bars and cafes.

As your time in Lisbon draws to a close, enjoy a leisurely breakfast savouring the flavours of this vibrant city.
