Day 1 - Madrid
Welcome to Madrid! Upon your arrival at the airport, we will arrange your transfer to the hotel. You will have some free time to relax before your adventure begins. For information about the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers, please refer to the signs at the hotel reception. In the evening, we're delighted to transport you to Plaza Mayor and the lively neighbourhood of La Latina, renowned for its vibrant nightlife and exquisite tapas restaurants. Here, you can choose to dine at any restaurant that piques your interest, with options ranging from Indian and Chinese to Spanish and Middle Eastern cuisines. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Madrid
Begin your day in the heart of Madrid with a thorough tour that highlights the city's vibrant core. Well take in famous sights such as the Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, and the regal Puerta de Alcal, as well as Plaza de Coln and the historic Plaza Mayor. Our journey then leads us to the serene Retiro Park, where you can enjoy the lake and the stunning Palacio de Cristal. A real treat for football enthusiasts, we'll visit the Santiago Bernabu Stadium, home of Real Madrid one of the most acclaimed football clubs globally, with entrance included. The afternoon is yours to explore Madrid further or unwind at your leisure. In the evening, well ensure you return comfortably to your hotel.
Day 3 - Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Barcelona
In the morning, we set out for the region of Aragon, traversing the scenic landscapes of Castile. Our first destination is Zaragoza, where we will admire the beautiful Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, a stunning example of Baroque architecture and a significant pilgrimage site. From there, we journey to the peaceful Poblet Abbey, renowned for being one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in the world. Entry tickets are included for this visit, allowing us to fully explore this historical treasure. As the day draws to a close, we'll continue our travels towards Barcelona, arriving in the evening ready to experience the vibrant allure of this Catalan city.
Day 4 - Barcelona
This morning, we embark on a panoramic tour of Barcelona, a city celebrated as one of Europe's most captivating capitals. Nestled by the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona is renowned for the stunning modernist architecture of Antoni Gaud, the vibrant energy of the Ramblas, and a rich tapestry of history, including hosting the Universal Exposition and the Olympics. In the afternoon, youll have the chance to explore the city at your own pace. In the evening, we will whisk you away to Maremagnum, a modern entertainment and dining complex by the sea, conveniently located near Plaza de Coln. Enjoy a relaxing stroll through this lively area, where you can select from a variety of dining options to suit your taste.
Day 5 - Barcelona - Paris
On the fifth day, we will arrange your transfer to the station for a high-speed train journey from Barcelona to Paris, included as part of your trip. In a little over six hours, you'll be transported comfortably to the heart of the French capital. Upon your arrival, another transfer will be ready to take you to your hotel. In the evening, your guide will get in touch, or you can check the information signs at the hotel reception for details. Please note, this train journey will occur without a guide.
Day 6 - Paris
We begin our day with a journey through the grand history of France at the Palace of Versailles. While the cost of admission is not covered, you have the opportunity to explore the palaces magnificent gardens and architecture a true testament to the opulence of the French monarchy. After savouring the regal charm of Versailles, we return to Paris and head to Montmartre. This delightful bohemian quarter is renowned for its vibrant arts scene and historic cabarets that have inspired artists for centuries.To fully capture the essence of Paris, we embark on a panoramic city tour led by a knowledgeable local guide. This experience provides a sweeping view of the citys impressive avenues and iconic landmarks, showcasing why Paris is often dubbed the City of Light. After our explorations, well make our way back to the hotel. For those who wish to continue enjoying the lively Parisian nightlife, there is an optional variety show available in the evening.
Day 7 - Paris - Rouen
We begin our day at the heart of Paris, with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where your ticket includes access to the second floor of this renowned landmark. This is followed by a tranquil cruise along the Seine River, offering a unique perspective of the city's striking architecture. The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your own pace.Around 4:00 p.m., we bid farewell to Paris and set off towards Normandy. Our destination is Rouen, a city steeped in history dating back to Roman times. Upon arrival, you will have free time to wander through its historic centre, adorned with captivating medieval architecture and the impressive Gothic cathedral. This evening promises a delightful blend of history and culture.Please note that if wait times at the Eiffel Tower are excessively long, your visit may be rescheduled to a different time or even moved to Sunday for your convenience.
Day 8 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
Today, we begin by exploring the charming centre of Rouen, a city steeped in history with its medieval architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Following our stroll, we'll set our course for northern France. Our journey will take us across the English Channel by ferry, an integral part of the day, offering splendid sea views as we transition to England. Upon arriving in Canterbury, you'll discover England's religious capital, celebrated for its picturesque historic centre and significance in British heritage. Our travels then continue to London, where you'll have some free time to explore the iconic Tower Bridge areaa must-see symbol of the city. Later, we'll check into our hotel, readying ourselves for more adventures in the vibrant capital of the United Kingdom.
Day 9 - London
Experience the vibrant city of London as we embark on a guided panoramic tour, revealing the cultural and historical treasures of this iconic capital. Our journey will take us past famed landmarks such as the majestic Houses of Parliament, the flowing River Thames, and the regal Buckingham Palace, where you might have the chance to witness the renowned Changing of the Guard, depending on the schedule. At midday, we'll offer a transfer to Camden, celebrated for its lively and distinctive market, where you can explore a range of items reflecting various cultures.
