Day 1 - Madrid
Upon your arrival in Madrid, we will be ready to transfer you to your hotel. Once settled in, you'll have some time to unwind and explore at your leisure before our journey begins. Please check the hotel reception's information signs for details regarding the welcome meeting, where you'll join your guide and fellow travellers. As evening falls, we will whisk you away to the lively Plaza Mayor and the vibrant neighbourhood of La Latina, renowned for its nightlife and tapas bars. Here, you can indulge in a meal of your choosingwhether you prefer Indian, Chinese, Spanish, or Middle Eastern cuisine, the choice is yours to make. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Madrid
We begin our morning with a thorough exploration of central Madrid. Our tour will cover iconic sites such as the Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, Puerta de Alcal, Plaza de Coln, and Plaza Mayor. Following this, we'll head to the tranquil Retiro Park, a green haven in the city's heart, where we'll visit the lake and the stunning Palacio de Cristal. Included in our day's activities is a visit to the Santiago Bernabu Stadium, the legendary home of Real Madrid, widely regarded as one of the world's most esteemed football clubs. The afternoon is all yours to spend as you wish, before we provide a convenient transfer back to the hotel in the evening.
Day 3 - Madrid - Merida - Evora - Lisbon
On day three, our journey begins as we depart from Madrid and make our way to Mrida, the capital of Extremadura. Here, we will explore the impressive Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre archaeological complex, a recognised World Heritage Site, celebrated for its remarkable preservation. You'll then have time to enjoy lunch in the lively pedestrianised historical centre, filled with inviting restaurants.Our travels continue as we cross into Portugal, stopping in vora. This city, also a World Heritage Site, captivates with its striking whitewashed buildings, Renaissance palaces, and grand cathedral. We will conclude the day by arriving in Lisbon in the evening.
Day 4 - Lisbon
This morning, we will embark on an exploration of Lisbon, Portugal's captivating capital famed for its seven hills. Our tour will take us through the city's quaint alleys, adorned with vibrant azulejos (tiles), and enveloped by a sense of "saudade" coupled with the enchanting Atlantic light. During our visit to the Belm district, we'll discover where the legendary Portuguese navigators launched their epic voyages across the oceans in the 15th century. The afternoon is free for you to wander at your leisure perhaps explore the Bairro Alto area with its stunning viewpoint. Alternatively, you might want to consider an optional excursion to the charming towns of Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril. In the evening, we'll return to the hotel from Restauradores Square, known for its lively atmosphere with an array of vibrant bars and cafs.
Day 5 - Lisbon - Fatima - Porto
Today, we journey north into Portugal, beginning with a visit to Ftima, one of the worlds most significant pilgrimage destinations. After our spiritual stop, we head to Porto, Portugals vibrant second city. Following lunch, we'll experience the city from a unique perspective during a 50-minute cruise on the Douro River aboard a traditional Rabelo boat. This charming ride reveals Portos picturesque riverside scenery. Afterwards, youll have free time to explore the lively Ribeira district at your own pace. Known for its narrow, winding streets lined with historic merchant houses and cosy cafs, this area offers a taste of Portos rich history and culture. Well then make our way to the hotel, where you can unwind after a day full of exploration and discovery.
Day 6 - Porto - Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary - Cambados - Santiago de Compostela
Today, we traverse enchanting landscapes, beginning with a visit to Braga. Here, we will ascend the world's oldest water-powered funicular to the Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary, rewarded by stunning vistas. After exploring the sanctuary, we suggest descending the impressive Baroque staircase to admire its beauty.Continuing our journey, we enter Galicia to discover the historic town of Cambados in the Ras Baixas region. We embark on a glass-bottom boat excursion along the Ra de Arousa, offering insights into local mussel and oyster cultivation. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore the centre, where the impressive Roman walls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stand as a testament to the city's ancient past. We then proceed to O Cebreiro, a picturesque Galician village known for its distinctive stone architecture. Continuing our journey, we arrive in Len around midday. In Len, we'll delve into the magnificence of the Gothic cathedral, celebrated for its exceptional stained-glass windows, and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the city's charming historic centre.As we cross the Cantabrian Range, you'll be captivated by the scenic views on our way to Asturias. By evening, we reach Oviedo, where a guided city tour will reveal its rich history. You may explore the 9th-century cathedral, the architectural wonder of the Calatrava Congressional Palace, the elegant Campoamor Theatre, and the lively Calle de la Rua. Day 8 - Oviedo - Covadonga - Santillana del Mar - Santander
We begin our day by journeying into the breathtaking Picos de Europa mountain range. Our first stop is the splendid Basilica of Covadonga, a site steeped in history and surrounded by dramatic landscapes. From there, we'll meander along charming coastal roads to reach Santillana del Mar, famed as one of Spain's most picturesque medieval towns with perfectly preserved architecture.Next, we'll visit the renowned Altamira Cave Museum, where your ticket is included. Day 9 - Santander - Bilbao - Foronda Service Area - La Rioja - Zaragoza

Day 11 - Barcelona
Our day in Barcelona begins with a panoramic tour of this vibrant Mediterranean city. Known for its captivating blend of modernist architecture, much of it the work of the legendary Gaud, and its rich historical fabric, Barcelona is a city that has hosted both the Universal Exposition and the Olympics. After our exploration, the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisureperhaps wander through the famous Ramblas or delve into the city's diverse neighbourhoods. In the evening, we'll take you to Maremagnum, a modern dining and entertainment complex by the sea, located conveniently near Plaza de Coln. Day 12 - Barcelona - Peniscola - Valencia
We'll head south along the Mediterranean, pausing at the delightful medieval town of Pescola. This charming walled city, surrounded by beautiful beaches, invites you to take a leisurely stroll and soak in its historic ambience. Continuing our journey, we'll arrive in Valencia around lunchtime. In the afternoon, a local guide will introduce you to this vibrant port city, known for its over 2,000 years of history. As you explore, you'll notice a striking contrast between its rich historical monuments and the modern architectural wonders of the City of Arts and Sciences. Day 13 - Valencia - Alicante - Caravaca de la Cruz - Granada
On the thirteenth day of our journey, we head to the captivating city of Alicante. You'll have a chance to enjoy a leisurely walk along its picturesque coastline, soaking in the scenic beauty. After lunch, we continue our travels to the Murcia region to visit Caravaca de la Cruz. Recognised as a Holy City by the Roman Catholic Church, its home to a church that houses a significant relic of the Cross. We'll take a tourist train to explore the historic area. Our journey then leads us through beautiful roads as we make our way to Andalusia, culminating in the vibrant city of Granada. We'll round off the day with an included dinner, perfect for reflecting on the day's adventures.
Day 14 - Granada
We will spend a full day in Granada, with the option to delve into the exquisite Alhambra Palace and its breathtaking Generalife Gardens, both iconic relics from the Arab era, if your tour includes tickets. In the afternoon, you're free to explore the city's attractions at your own pace, such as the cathedral, which is the final resting place of the Catholic Monarchs. It is crucial to note that access to the Alhambra is strictly regulated. To secure your entrance, tickets are issued once your tour is confirmed, and it's essential to provide accurate personal information, including your full name and passport or ID number at the time of booking. Please keep in mind that ticket costs cannot be refunded in the event of cancellation. Should the Alhambra visit not be possible due to any restrictions, an alternative tour will be offered to the Royal Alczar of Seville, a site of parallel historical and architectural interest.
Day 15 - Granada - Malaga - Marbella - Ronda - Seville
Today, we depart from Granada and journey towards the renowned Costa del Sol. Our first destination is Malaga, where you will have an opportunity to explore the historic district. We then continue along the scenic coastal highway, enjoying delightful views of the Mediterranean Sea, before arriving at Puerto Bans in Marbella. In the afternoon, we travel through the mountains, hearing tales of local bandits, before reaching the striking town of Ronda. Perched on a dramatic cliffside, Ronda is famed for its breathtaking gorge that cuts through the heart of the town. Our day concludes with a trip to Seville, where we arrive in the evening. Dinner will be included at the hotel, rounding off another inspiring day in Spain.
Day 16 - Seville
Today, we immerse ourselves in the vibrant city of Seville. Our morning begins with a guided tour, taking in the city's iconic landmarks, including the majestic cathedral with its renowned Giralda tower. We will also explore the charming neighbourhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana, each brimming with rich history and local colour. Following our exploration, a relaxing boat ride on the Guadalquivir River is included, providing us with stunning views of the city's picturesque skyline. In the evening, you have the opportunity to experience the passion of a traditional flamenco tablao performance, an optional but highly recommended way to conclude your day in Seville.
