Day 1 - Madrid
Welcome to Madrid, a city where history and vibrant culture converge. Upon your arrival at the airport, we will be ready to whisk you away to your hotel. You'll have some leisure time before the adventure beginssimply check the information signs at the hotel reception for details about the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers. This evening, we will transport you to the iconic Plaza Mayor and the lively neighbourhood of La Latina, renowned for its bustling nightlife and tantalising tapas restaurants. Here, you can savour dinner at a restaurant of your choice, with options ranging from Indian and Chinese to Spanish and Middle Eastern cuisines. Day 2 - Madrid
Your day in Madrid will begin with an engaging tour of the city's central highlights. We'll explore notable places such as the Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the iconic Puerta de Alcal, Plaza de Coln, and the bustling Plaza Mayor. Our journey then takes us to the tranquil Retiro Park, where we can enjoy the picturesque lake and the striking Palacio de Cristal. Entrance to the renowned Santiago Bernabu Stadium, home to Real Madrid, is included, offering a chance to explore this iconic venue. The afternoon is free for you to discover Madrid at your own pace. Day 3 - Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Barcelona
We start our day by departing Madrid and heading towards the historic region of Aragon, traversing the vast landscapes of Castile. Our first stop is Zaragoza, where youll have the opportunity to behold the remarkable Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. This breathtaking structure is renowned for its stunning Baroque architecture and is a key pilgrimage site. Continuing our journey, we make our way to Poblet Abbey, one of the most impeccably preserved medieval monasteries in the world. Day 4 - Barcelona - Girona

Situated along the picturesque Mediterranean coast, Barcelona is celebrated for its vibrant culture and stunning modernist architecture by the famous Antoni Gaud. We'll explore notable sights such as the bustling Ramblas and learn about the city's significant role in hosting the Universal Exposition and the Olympics. As one of Europe's most captivating cities, Barcelona offers a blend of historical richness and modern allure.In the evening, we'll bid farewell to Barcelona as we journey north into the Catalonia region. Our next stop will be the historic city of Girona. Before settling down for the night, you'll have the chance to wander through Girona's charming old town, renowned for its narrow streets, colourful houses, historic Jewish quarter, and the striking cathedral that dominates the skyline.
Day 5 - Girona - Carrieres des Lumieres - Chambery
Today, we'll venture into France, travelling through the picturesque Provence region. Our first stop is the delightful city of Arles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with rich connections to Van Gogh. Here, you can explore the Roman theatre and charming Romanesque churches, and enjoy some time for lunch. Our journey continues with a visit to Carrires des Lumires, an extraordinary underground art installation within an ancient quarry, offering a mesmerising blend of art, images, and sound. We'll then head to Chambry for the evening, where you'll find a medieval city brimming with history, featuring a lovely centre and an impressive castle. If the Carrires des Lumires is fully booked, we'll divert to the iconic Pont du Gard, a remarkable Roman aqueduct, as an alternative.
Day 6 - Chambery - Geneva - Gruyeres - Leysin
On day six, we'll head into Switzerland, starting our exploration in Geneva. With our guide, we'll visit the Palais des Nations the European headquarters of the United Nations then wander through the charming English Garden, famous for its floral clock, and admire the Jet d'Eau, Europe's tallest fountain. Next, we'll journey to the enchanting village of Gruyres, acclaimed worldwide for its cheese. Nearby, you can visit some of Switzerland's renowned chocolate factories, including the Maison Cailler Chocolate Factory, where an indulgent chocolate tasting is included in our tour.We'll continue through Switzerland's picturesque landscapes, marked by serene mountain vistas and quaint wooden villages. Our journey takes us to Chillon Castle, a stunning fortress perched on the shores of Lake Geneva, with your admission included. By mid-afternoon, we'll arrive in Leysin. This delightful village offers extraordinary views of the Rhne Valley and Mont Blanc, and is renowned for its winter sports and hiking trails. We'll settle in for the evening with dinner included. Note: Depending on availability, accommodation may sometimes be in another charming Swiss town nestled within the Alps, such as Martigny.
Day 7 - Leysin - Interlaken - Lucerne - Zurich
We'll journey through breathtaking mountain landscapes today, so remember to pack your winter clothes. Our adventure begins with a cable car ride to Glacier 3000, one of Switzerland's most spectacular alpine locations, enveloped in ice and snow all year round. Here, you'll have the opportunity to walk on a suspension bridge that stretches between two mountain peaks, delve into the Ice Cathedral, or enjoy activities at the Fun Park. Afterwards, we'll pause for lunch in Interlaken, a picturesque area nestled between two lakes. Continuing our journey, we make our way to Lucerne, celebrated as one of Switzerland's most beautiful cities, where well spend the afternoon basking in its charm. As evening descends, we'll arrive in Zurich, offering a chance to explore the city centre before settling into our hotel. Note: Should the Glacier 3000 cable car be unavailable due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, rest assured, we will arrange an equally remarkable alternative to immerse you in the awe-inspiring alpine scenery.
Day 8 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
Departing from Zurich in the morning, we will venture across the Alps into Switzerland's Italian-speaking region. Our first stop will be in Bellinzona, celebrated for its trio of medieval castles, now UNESCO World Heritage Sites, perched protectively over the town. You'll have some free time to explore the charming streets of Bellinzona and appreciate its rich historical significance. We'll then proceed into Italy, where we'll pause for lunch in Como. Revered as the jewel of Lombardy, Como boasts enchanting lakeside gardens and a magnificent cathedral. Our journey continues to Milan, where our guide will introduce you to the striking Piazza del Duomo. Youll have time to leisurely explore the area before we head to the hotel for the evening.
Day 9 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
Today, we continue our adventure by travelling to Pisa. We will board a small tourist train leading us to the Piazza dei Miracoli, often referred to as the Square of Miracles. You will have the opportunity to marvel at one of Italy's most famous architectural complexes, featuring the renowned Leaning Tower of Pisa. After taking in the sights, we will resume our journey to Rome, where we are expected to arrive later in the day.
Day 10 - Rome
We will spend the day discovering Rome, known as the Eternal City for its timeless appeal and rich history. Our morning begins with a three-hour guided exploration of ancient and iconic landmarks. We will walk through Imperial Rome, taking in highlights like the Arch of Constantine, the exterior views of the Colosseum, and the impressive Imperial Forums. Our panoramic bus journey will provide further insights as we pass by the Circus Maximus and the Baths of Caracalla, before stopping at the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the unique Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant'Angelo. Our official tour will conclude around 11 a.m. at the Vatican City. Here, our guide will detail an optional opportunity to delve into the Vatican Museums and marvel at the Sistine Chapel's renowned art. As the day ends, we'll offer a transfer to the vibrant Trastevere neighbourhood, famous for its welcoming restaurants and bustling ambience. We will return to the hotel at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Day 11 - Rome - Florence
As we depart from Rome, we'll head northwards, enjoying scenic landscapes along the way. Upon arrival in Florence, our first stop will be Piazzale Michelangelo, where we can savour breathtaking panoramic views of the city. From there, we will stroll towards the historic centre. After some time for lunch, join a guided walking tour led by a local expert through the heart of Florence. We'll explore renowned landmarks including the iconic Ponte Vecchio, the majestic Duomo, and the bustling Piazza della Signoria. Florence truly resembles an open-air museum with its wealth of art and architecture. The afternoon will be at your leisure, allowing you ample opportunity to discover the city's charm at your own pace. Day 12 - Florence - Venice
Today, our journey takes us across the scenic Apennine Mountains to the enchanting city of Venice. Day 13 - Venice - Innsbruck - Salzburg
Departing from Venice, we'll set our sights on Austria. Once we arrive in Innsbruck, you'll have time to wander through the charming historic city centre and enjoy lunch in the heart of the Austrian Tyrolean capital. Later, we'll journey through the breathtaking mountain scenery on our way to the picturesque village of Kitzbhel, a renowned ski resort. Here, you can explore at your leisure and perhaps savour the snowy landscapes, which are present for most of the year. Our day concludes in Salzburg, where we'll arrive by evening. Please note, in cases of fewer travellers, we may opt to take a train journey from Venice to Innsbruck instead.
Day 14 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
On our fourteenth day, we delve deeper into Austria, starting with the enchanting city of Salzburg, famously the birthplace of Mozart. As we explore, the Renaissance and Baroque architecture of the city provides a stunning backdrop under the watchful gaze of the imposing castle. Our adventure continues through the picturesque landscape of lakes and mountains to the quaint village of St. Wolfgang, a respected pilgrimage site known for its serene beauty. We then make our way to the charming town of Traunkirchen, situated along the scenic shores of Lake Traunsee. Here, we embark on a scenic cruise, taking in the majesty of four spectacular lakeside castles before reaching our destination, the town of Gmunden. Day 15 - Vienna
Today, we'll immerse ourselves in the splendour of Vienna with a panoramic tour led by a local guide. Our exploration will take us through the city's grand avenues, stunning palaces, expansive parks, and bustling city centre. In the afternoon, you'll have the freedom to uncover Vienna's charms at your own pace. Later, we'll whisk you away to the Grinzing district, once a quaint wine-growing village, now a part of the city celebrated for its traditional taverns. Here, you'll have time to enjoy a meal in one of the area's welcoming establishments.
Day 16 - Vienna - Budapest
After travelling for approximately three hours, we will arrive in Budapest, Hungarys vibrant capital. Our first destination is Vci utca, a bustling area where you can enjoy some leisure time and choose a spot for lunch. Following this, we will commence an exploration of Budapest with a delightful boat trip on the River Danube, offering magnificent views of the historic Buda on one bank and the cosmopolitan Pest on the other. Once back on land, we will embark on a panoramic tour of this iconic "Queen of the Danube," highlighting its charm and grandeur. After the tour, there will be some free time to venture out on your own. In the evening, you may opt for an excursion to experience a traditional Magyar show, where dinner is included.
Day 17 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
We will set off early from Budapest, making our way to Bratislava the charming Slovak capital nestled along the Danube. Here, you'll have the opportunity to wander through its inviting historic centre and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Afterward, we'll continue our journey to the Czech Republic, reaching Prague by evening. Once there, we'll provide a transfer to the Old Town Square, a lively hub that offers a perfect introduction to Pragues vibrant atmosphere and bustling tourist activities. You can choose to dine at one of the many restaurants offering a range of international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian dishes. After enjoying the evening in this enchanting setting, we'll return you to your hotel.
Day 18 - Prague
Today, we will explore the historic and enchanting city of Prague, often referred to as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our journey will start with an enlightening panoramic tour led by a local guide, showcasing the city's most iconic monuments. Among the highlights of the day, we will visit the majestic Prague Castle, with admission included. Following this, we will embark on a scenic boat ride along the Vltava River, offering a unique perspective of the city's stunning architecture and landscapes.
