Day 1 - Welcome to Loja!
You will most likely arrive at Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport. From here, make your own way to our hotel in Loja. After checking into the hotel, the rest of the day is at your leisure. In the evening join your fellow travellers for a welcome meeting and dinner at the hotel.
Tour Style: On this tour you will enjoy included excursions and free time to spend at leisure. On the excursions the maximum group size is 45. A tour leader is on hand at the hotel to provide information and assistance throughout your stay.
Day 2 - Cordoba sightseeing
Loja - Cordoba - Loja. Today we depart for a full-day excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Cordoba. We will enjoy a guided walking tour of the historic centre and the Great Mosque-Cathedral (entrance fee included), showcasing a mixture of architectural styles that have developed over the nine centuries of its construction and renovations.
You will have the rest of the afternoon at leisure to explore Cordoba or enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants at your own pace. We return to our hotel in Loja for the evening.
Day 3 - Walking tour of Antequera
Loja - Antequera - Loja. We will explore Antequera on a delightful half-day guided walking tour of the Old Town. Our exploration starts at the impressive Dolmen de Menga, one of Spain's oldest monuments, which dates back to the Megalithic period. Afterward, you will have some free time to wander and enjoy the charming streets and squares of this quintessentially Andalusian town, before we return to Loja.
Day 4 - Seville city tour
Loja - Seville - Loja. Today, we will explore Andalucia’s most vibrant and colourful city, situated on the banks of the River Guadalquivir. Seville is renowned for its flamenco, tapas, and rich cultural and architectural heritage. During our panoramic city tour by coach, we will take in highlights such as the San Telmo Palace and the Golden Tower. We will also visit the beautiful Plaza Espana and enjoy included entry to the stunning royal palace and gardens of the Alcazar. Be sure not to miss the winding streets of Seville’s Jewish quarter during your free time. We are heading back to Loja for one final night.
Day 5 - Loja to Granada
Loja - Granada. This morning after breakfast, we depart Loja by coach and make our way to Granada. Once we have arrived in Granada, we will enjoy an orientation walking tour of the city.
The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to relax, explore, or shop at your own pace.
Please note: We may not be able to check into our hotel rooms until the afternoon, but luggage storage will be available.
Day 6 - Generallife Gardens & the Alhambra
After breakfast, we will explore the Arab heritage of Granada. We will visit the Generalife Gardens and the UNESCO-listed monument complex of La Alhambra, one of Spain's top visitor attractions. With its magnificent palaces, patios, and gardens, La Alhambra is one of Spain’s most cherished and popular historic sites. The evening is at leisure in Granada.
Day 7 - Day at leisure and Flamenco show
Today, you will have a free day to explore Granada at your own pace. You might want to relax in one of the city's beautiful parks, such as Parque de las Ciencias, or indulge in some delicious tapas at a local bar. Alternatively, consider enjoying a refreshing drink at a terrace café while taking in the views of the Alhambra.
This evening, we will enjoy an included Flamenco show with some local tapas.
Day 8 - Adios Spain
Our tour comes to an end after breakfast and hotel check out.
