Itinerary
Day 1 - Journey to Granada and the Alhambra
Costa del Sol - Granada. We depart from the Costa del Sol (time to be confirmed) and travel to Granada. Here, we visit the magnificent Alhambra Palace and the Generalife Gardens, once the residence of the Moorish kings.
This UNESCO-listed complex is celebrated for its intricate architecture, graceful arches, and serene courtyards filled with fountains and flowers. Dinner and accommodation are included.
In the evening, you may wish to join an optional visit to the caves of Sacromonte to enjoy a traditional gypsy flamenco performance.
Please Note: If tickets to the Alhambra and Generalife are unavailable on your chosen dates, an alternative tour of Granada will be provided, including visits to the Palace of Charles V, the Archaeological Museum, the Church of Santa María de la Alhambra, the Royal Chapel, and a walk through the Alcaicería (old silk market) and Cathedral Square.

Day 2 - Historic Toledo and Arrival in Madrid
Granada - Toledo - Madrid. After breakfast, we journey to the Imperial City of Toledo, a historic treasure trove of art and architecture. We enjoy lunch, take in panoramic views from the Mirador del Valle, and stroll through the charming old town. We then continue to Madrid for overnight accommodation.
Day 3 - Salamanca’s Heritage and Arrival in Porto
Madrid - Salamanca - Porto. Following breakfast, we travel north to Salamanca, one of Spain’s most beautiful and ancient university cities. You’ll have free time to wander through the historic centre and admire the grand Baroque-style Plaza Mayor. We then cross into Portugal and continue to Porto for the night.
Day 4 - Discovering Porto and Port Wine Tasting
After breakfast, we take a panoramic sightseeing tour of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage city famed for its elegant bridges and riverside charm. Highlights include the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange Palace, and the Church of Santa Clara.
We end the visit at a local wine cellar for a tasting of the city’s renowned Port wine. The afternoon is free for you to explore at leisure.
Day 5 - Coimbra, Fátima Pilgrimage and Lisbon Arrival
Porto - Coimbra - Fatima - Lisbon. After breakfast, we depart for Coimbra, home to one of Europe’s oldest universities and the birthplace of traditional Portuguese fado. You’ll have free time to explore before we continue to Fátima, one of the world’s most significant pilgrimage sites.
There’s time to visit the Basilica and Sanctuary before we travel onwards to Lisbon, Portugal’s captivating capital.
In the evening, you may wish to attend an optional fado show, an authentic Portuguese music experience.
Day 6 - Exploring Lisbon and the Belém Monuments
After breakfast, we begin a panoramic tour of Lisbon, beautifully set at the mouth of the River Tagus. We pass Edward VII Park, Rossio Square, Liberdade Avenue, and the Madragoa District, where fado was born.
The tour continues to the Belém District to see the Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, and the magnificent Jerónimos Monastery. The afternoon is free for you to explore independently or join an optional excursion to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril.
Day 7 - Roman Mérida and Arrival in Seville
Lisbon - Merida - Seville. After breakfast, we travel towards Spain and arrive in Mérida, known for its impressive Roman ruins.
You’ll have free time to explore the UNESCO-listed archaeological complex, including the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre. Lunch at leisure. We then continue along the “Autovía de la Plata” (Silver Route) into Andalusia, arriving in Seville.
Day 8 - Seville’s Highlights and Optional Flamenco Evening
After breakfast, we enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Seville. Highlights include María Luisa Park, Plaza de España, the exterior of the Cathedral with its iconic Giralda Tower, and the charming Santa Cruz Quarter, with its narrow lanes and flower-filled courtyards.
In your free time, you may choose an optional boat trip on the Guadalquivir River for panoramic views of the Gold Tower and the Expo ’92 site, or visit the Maestranza bullring. Lunch is at your own arrangement. In the evening, you can also opt to attend a lively flamenco show.
Day 9 - Córdoba’s Mosque–Cathedral and Jewish Quarter
Seville - Cordoba. After breakfast, we depart for Córdoba. On arrival, we take a guided walking tour beginning at the Almodóvar Gate and through the historic Jewish Quarter before visiting the city’s remarkable Mosque-Cathedral. The afternoon is free for you to explore.
Day 10 - The White Villages, Ronda and Return to Costa del Sol
Cordoba - Ronda- Costa del Sol. After breakfast, we follow the picturesque Route of the White Villages to reach Ronda, dramatically set on a deep gorge. You’ll have free time to enjoy its charming streets and stunning views before we continue to the Costa del Sol, where our journey concludes.
