Day 1 - Seoul
Welcome to Korea! Upon arrival in Seoul, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you will have some leisure time to unwind after your journey. In the afternoon, we will provide you with essential information to kick-start your tour. Relax and settle in as you begin your exciting exploration of this vibrant country. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Seoul - Busan
Today, we immerse ourselves in the vibrant heart of Seoul with an extensive five-hour tour. Our day begins at the splendid Changdeokgung Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled within a vast park and surrounded by a series of royal palaces. We then take a leisurely stroll through Bukchon Hanok Village, a charming historic area known for its traditional small houses. Our journey continues with a visit to the War Memorial, an impressive museum that offers insight into Korea's historical conflicts, highlighting the Korean War and its international involvement with United Nations forces. We'll pause for lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the bustling Gangnam District, famous for its shopping and entertainment hubs. Our final stop in Seoul is the towering Lotte World Tower. You have some free time here to either ascend the 550-metre skyscraper (note that admission isn't included) or explore its park and luxury shopping centres at your own pace. Later in the day, we make our way to the station to catch a high-speed train (your ticket is included) to Busan. Upon arrival, we'll transfer to the hotel for a restful night.
Day 3 - Busan
On the third day, we will begin our adventure from Busan with a visit to the Haedong Yonggung Temple, an enchanting 14th-century Buddhist temple majestically situated by the sea. Returning to Busan, our exploration takes us to the UN Memorial Cemetery, a solemn resting place for individuals from numerous countries. Our next stop is Koreas largest fish market by Nampo Port, where the bustling atmosphere provides a unique insight into local life, followed by lunch at no extra cost. We will then take a leisurely walk to Yongdusan Park, home to the impressive 120-metre-high Busan Tower, offering panoramic views of the city. Our journey continues to Songdo Beach, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a ride on the countrys first marine cable car (ticket included, weather permitting), showcasing stunning bay views. We then proceed to the vibrant Gamcheon Culture Village, celebrated for its kaleidoscope of colourful buildings, charming alleyways, art galleries, pottery workshops, and delightful cafs. After this cultural immersion, we will return to Busan for the night.
Day 4 - Busan - Jeju Island
After breakfast, we'll head to Busan Airport to catch our included flight to Jeju Island, arriving by mid-morning. Recognised as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jeju Island is famed for its breathtaking scenery. Our exploration begins at the Seongsan Ilchulbong Crater, also referred to as Sunrise Peak, a prominent tourist attraction offering stunning views. We then visit Seongeup Folk Village at the foot of Hallasan Mountain. Here, you can wander through the streets filled with traditional stone, clay, and thatched-roof houses, enclosed by protective walls. Our journey continues with a visit to the Haenyeo Museum, which pays tribute to the unique culture and heritage of Jeju's renowned women divers. The museum offers a fascinating insight into their history, customs, and the traditional tools they use for diving. After the day's discoveries, we'll transfer you to your hotel for the evening.
Day 5 - Jeju Island
On our exploration of Jeju Island, we start the day with a visit to Jeongbang Waterfall, famed as the only waterfall in Asia that cascades straight into the sea. Our adventure continues at the spectacular Jusangjeolli Cliff, where you'll witness a natural wondera striking array of volcanic rock pillars along the coast. Next, we delve into the world of Korean tea at the Osulloc Tea Museum, where the history and traditions of this cherished beverage are brought to life. Our day concludes with a leisurely walk through the Garden of Thinking, a captivating space where nature, art, and philosophy seamlessly intertwine. After a day full of inspiration and discovery, we'll head back to our hotel for the evening.
Day 6 - Jeju Island
After enjoying breakfast, you may spend your final moments savouring the beauty of Jeju Island before our journey concludes. We hope you depart with delightful memories that linger long after the tour.
