Day 1 - Medina
Welcome to Medina, the revered city of pilgrimage! Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in this historically significant location, one of the two holiest cities in Islam. Until recently, Medina was off-limits to non-Muslims, and it still commands deep respect for its residents and religious traditions. Modest attire is essential here. After lunch, we will take a walking tour around the magnificent Prophets Mosque (Al Masjid an Nabawi) with its striking ten minarets. This luminous mosque, built by the Prophet Muhammad himself, can accommodate up to a million worshippers and is where the Prophet is buried.Our journey continues with a visit to Mount Uhud, an important pilgrimage site known for the historic battle between the Prophets forces and the Meccan troops. You have the option to walk the expansive esplanade and ascend the mountain, maintaining silence in respect of the numerous pilgrims present. Moving on, we will explore Quba Mosque, the first mosque in history, originally founded in 622. Although todays structure is newer, it marks a significant starting point of Islamic history.From Quba Mosque, we will proceed on foot to the nearby Ethiq Garden and Well, where the Prophet and his companions were greeted by the local tribes with water, following their escape from Mecca. Afterwards, you'll have some leisure time in the city centre, where you can explore shopping areas or visit the Hejaz Railway Museum, located in the old Ottoman train station, if you wish.In the afternoon, we will visit the Al Madinah Museum, which offers insight into the citys rich history. As dusk falls, we'll return to the Prophet's Mosque to experience the deep emotions of prayer time, surrounded by the breathtaking illumination and thousands of people gathering for worship. Dinner is included in todays itinerary. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Medina - Al-Ula
Following a hearty breakfast, our adventure takes us deeper into the mesmerising landscapes of the desert region, celebrated for its captivating volcanic terrain. We'll journey to Khaybar, an area steeped in history as a Jewish settlement on the Arabian Peninsula during the 7th century. This location is marked by the historic Battle of Khaibar in 628 AD, in which Muslim forces led by the Prophet Muhammad emerged victorious over the Jewish tribes. During our visit, we'll explore the formidable fortress and wander through the picturesque oasis, with admission included.Surrounded by spectacular desert vistas, we then head to Al-Ula, a remarkable region that serves as a living open-air museum. Here, you will be amazed by the striking rock formations, canyons, and ravines, all echoing the grandeur of the crafts left by the region's ancient inhabitants. Upon arrival, we'll visit the iconic Elephant Rock (Jabal Al Fil), an extraordinary natural landmark resembling a 52-meter-high elephant. This geological wonder provides an awe-inspiring sight amidst the desert backdrop. Dinner is included to complete what promises to be a memorable day.
Day 3 - Al-Ula - Tabuk
Today, we continue our exploration of the Al-Ula region with a visit to the HEGRA (Madain Saleh) site, a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as "the Other Petra," this Nabataean marvel captivates with its rock-carved tombs set against the enigmatic desert landscape. Enjoy lunch on us before you have some free time to wander the bustling commercial streets and take in the splendour of the Oasis. In the afternoon, we'll set off for Tabuk, where dinner will be provided.
Day 4 - Tabuk - Riyadh
We begin our day in Tabuk with an early visit to the airport, where we board a flight to Riyadha journey lasting just over an hour and a half. Upon arrival in Riyadh, we'll dive straight into a city tour. Our first stop is the National Museum, the largest in Saudi Arabia, nestled amidst an attractive park. Here, you'll gain insight into the rich history, culture, and art of the Kingdom. Next, we explore the Masmak Fortress, an iconic part of Riyadh's past, reflecting the city's remarkable transformation over the last century.Afterwards, enjoy some free time to wander through the nearby souks and experience the vibrant commercial life, with an opportunity to have lunch in a shopping centre. The afternoon offers a visit to the Al Rajhi Mosque, Riyadh's largest mosque, epitomising Andalusian architectural style. While here, we'll witness a prayer and be introduced to aspects of Islam, enriching our understanding of the religion.As the day wanes, we'll head to Riyadh City Boulevard, lively with its diverse attractions, numerous international dining options, live performances, and magnificent colourful fountains. Take some leisure time to savour dinner, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, and capture the essence of this bustling locale. We'll conclude the day with a transfer back to the hotel.
Day 5 - Riyadh - Al-Hofuf
We begin our day just outside Riyadh, visiting the historic Al Turaif district in DIRIYAH, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This area was once the first capital of the Saudi dynasty. Well explore the remarkable remnants of palaces and urban structures that line the edge of the oasis, soaking in the significant heritage they hold. Afterwards, we travel along well-maintained highways to the AL-AHSA Oasis, the worlds largest oasis, also recognised by UNESCO. Inhabited since the Neolithic era, it boasts almost three million date palms, alongside lush gardens, canals, and wells. Our journey brings us to AL HOFUF, the main city within the oasis. Here, well stroll through the elegant Al Qaisariya souq, one of Arabia's oldest markets, which reflects the rich commercial history of this region. As evening falls, we enjoy a leisurely walk in King Abdullah Park, a charming green space featuring an artificial lake and fountains synchronised with music. Dinner is included, as we relish the unique blend of history and modernity experienced today.
Day 6 - Al-Hofuf - Dammam
Following breakfast, we embark on a tour of Al-Hofuf. Our first stop is the historic Ibrahim Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring an ancient fortress and a white mosque, originally constructed by the Ottomans in 1556. Next, we visit the "House of Allegiance," a distinctive small palace representative of the oasis' architectural style. We then explore the bustling neighbourhood that surrounds Mehaires Palace, filled with various restaurants, shops, and parks frequented by locals. Our journey continues through the oasis to Al Qara, an area known for its captivating landscapes of labyrinths, mini-gorges, and mountain caves, maintaining a year-round temperature of approximately 25 degrees. Here, we will also explore the "Land of Civilizations" museum to learn about the area's history.In the afternoon, we make our way toward the Persian Gulf, heading to the modern city of Dammam, the provincial capital with nearly a million residents. En route, we visit the striking Ithra site and its architecturally unique King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, which offers leisure areas, museums, and a library. Once in Dammam, we'll pause by the seaside Khobar Water Tower and enjoy the modern promenade leading to the Heritage Village. This fortress-like museum by the sea showcases Saudi civilisation, featuring a collection of antique objects and historic automobiles. Dinner is included.*Note: While Ibrahim Palace undergoes restoration, visits will be conducted from the exterior.*
Day 7 - Dammam - Bahrain
Following breakfast, we embark on a journey across the 25-kilometre Friendship Bridge, linking Saudi Arabia with Bahrain. Upon reaching the border, we complete the necessary formalities and continue to MANAMA, the vibrant capital of Bahrain. The day's itinerary includes a comprehensive tour of this fascinating country. We'll explore the historical Muharraq district, where pedestrian lanes reveal some of Bahrain's most beautiful preserved buildings, including royal residences and homes of affluent pearl merchants. Our bus will take us along the corniche, and we will visit Beit Al Quran, a museum dedicated to the Quran, offering insights into the Islamic holy book. Our cultural exploration continues at the Bahrain National Museum, where you can delve into the nation's rich art and traditions and appreciate its historical significance.Following this, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at one of the diverse options in a local mall food court. In the afternoon, with our guide, we visit the majestic Al-Fateh Mosque, Bahrain's primary mosque. Our journey then leads us to QALAT AL BAHRAIN, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring a fortress that has stood by the sea for 4000 years, although the current fortification was constructed by the Portuguese. Next, we traverse a major oil-producing region, observing refineries and pipelines, and make a stop at the countrys first oil well. We'll also visit the "Tree of Life," a symbol of Bahrain, thriving in the desert for over 500 years.As the day winds down, we return to Manama, where you will have free time to further explore. Enjoy a stroll through the lively Manama souq, experiencing its vibrant atmosphere, then wander into Little India, a district alive with traditional life and culture, complete with the captivating Krishna temple and an array of small Indian eateries. Note: The sequence of these visits may be adjusted.
Day 8 - Bahrain - Doha
On the morning of Day 8, enjoy free time in Bahrain to explore the historic centre or perhaps visit one of the city's fascinating museums. In the afternoon, we'll transfer you to the airport for your included flight to Doha, the vibrant capital of Qatar. Upon arrival, a transfer to the hotel will be arranged. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy as you wish.
Day 9 - Doha
Today, we embark on an exploration through the vibrant city of Doha. Our city tour will commence along the Corniche, offering views of the striking skyline and its inviting beaches. We'll visit the ultra-modern Al Thumama Stadium, a notable venue for the 2022 World Cup, and admire the National Museum's stunning architecture. Our journey continues at the Museum of Islamic Art, home to the world's largest collection of Islamic art.Embracing both modernity and tradition, we venture into the Souq of the Falcons to learn about the cultural significance of falconry in Qatar. You can wander leisurely through the Waqif Souq, designed to emulate a 19th-century marketplace, and admire the stables housing Arabian horses. Our lunch spot is "The Pearl of Qatar," an artificial island where you'll find Porto Arabia and can explore the Venice-inspired shopping quarter of Qanat.As the day draws to a close, we'll head to Katara, a cultural village showcasing architectural replicas from around the globe. Here, you'll find various dining options and can experience its opera house and amphitheatre, making for a richly diverse day in Doha. Lunch is included.
Day 10 - Doha - Dubai
Following a morning transfer to the airport, we will board a flight to Dubai. Upon arrival, you will be brought to your hotel, where the rest of the day is free for you to explore the city's wonders at your own pace. In the evening, we'll embark on a magical night-time tour of Dubai. Our first stop will be the mesmerising Dubai Fountain show an extraordinary display where water gracefully dances to music and light. Located at the base of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world at 828 metres, the venue offers a truly awe-inspiring experience. You will have the opportunity to stroll around and perhaps dine in the expansive Dubai Mall, where you can choose from a variety of dining options. Later, we'll return to the hotel. Please note that the flight from Doha may land in Dubai or a nearby airport, such as Sharjah or Abu Dhabi.
Day 11 - Dubai
Our day in Dubai starts with a visit to the remarkable Dubai Frame, the world's largest photo frame. Here, you can enjoy breathtaking views that encapsulate the city's contrasting old and new skylines. Following this, we'll explore the traditional souks Bur Dubai Souq and the Spice Souq teeming with vibrant stalls and local wares. An authentic Abra ride, a traditional Emirati boat, will ferry us to the historic Al Fahidi neighbourhood. Here, we'll visit the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, embracing its ethos of 'Open Minds, Open Doors'. Within a traditional building, we'll indulge in a typical Emirati meal, complete with an insightful talk on local gastronomy if our group exceeds 15 members.In the afternoon, we'll admire the majestic Jumeirah Mosque before continuing our city tour past the iconic, sail-shaped Burj Al Arab hotel and Palm Jumeirah, designed to resemble a palm tree. Experience a ride on the sleek monorail and stroll through the bustling La Marina area. We'll conclude the day with some leisure time at JBR Beach, the city's most popular and lively beachfront, allowing you to soak up the vibrant atmosphere.
Day 12 - Dubai
