Itinerary
Day 1 - Lisbon to Merida & Seville
Lisbon - Merida (Spain) - Seville. We depart early for the border with Spain and continue on to Merida. Enjoy free time to explore the Roman amphitheatre and other UNESCO-listed ruins. Find somewhere for lunch before we continue south to Andalucía, arriving in Seville, where dinner is included.
Please note: This tour is bi-lingual, and will be conducted in Spanish as well as in English.
Please note: If travelling prior to 27 March 2026, you will visit Caceres instead of Merida. All other arrangements remain the same.

Day 2 - Exploring Seville
Begin the day with breakfast, followed by a morning sightseeing tour that includes visits to Maria Luisa Park, Plaza de España, and the exteriors of the stunning Cathedral and its bell tower, the Giralda. We'll also explore the charming Santa Cruz neighbourhood, known for its streets, squares, and narrow alleys.
After the tour, the rest of the day is at leisure in Seville. If you choose, there's an optional river cruise on the Guadalquivir, offering panoramic views of the Gold Tower and Expo 92, or you can visit the Maestranza bullring. In the evening, as an optional activity, you can attend a flamenco show.
Day 3 - Seville to Cordoba
Seville - Cordoba. After breakfast, we depart for Córdoba. Upon arrival, we will begin our walking tour, starting at Almodovar Gate and exploring the Jewish Quarter. The tour will continue with a visit to the renowned Mosque-Cathedral (entrance included). The afternoon is at leisure, and you'll enjoy an included dinner this evening.
Day 4 - Ronda & the Costa del Sol
Cordoba - Ronda - Costa del Sol. After breakfast, we'll depart for the Route of the White Villages and Ronda. You'll have some free time to take in sweeping views from the Puente Nuevo bridge, explore the historic bullring, or stroll through the charming old town with its whitewashed buildings and quiet plazas. Then, we'll continue on to the Costa del Sol for the night. On most departures, we stay in the town of Torremolinos, though this is subject to change.
Day 5 - Granada & the Alhambra
Costa del Sol - Granada. Today, we are heading for Granada. On arrival, we explore the breathtaking Alhambra and Generalife Gardens, the former residence of Moorish kings, renowned for its stunning fountains, gardens, and arches. Enjoy dinner and accommodations afterward. You also have the option to experience a traditional gypsy flamenco show with a visit to the Sacromonte caves.
Please note: In the event that tickets to the Alhambra and Generalife are unavailable from the Patronato, an alternative tour of Granada will be arranged. This includes visits to the Palace of Carlos V, the Archaeological Museum, the Church of Santa María de la Alhambra, the Royal Chapel, and a stroll through the Alcaicería silk market and Cathedral Square.
Day 6 - Granada to Valencia
Granada - Valencia. Start the day with breakfast before we journey through the varied landscapes of Andalusia and Murcia, passing the cave dwellings of Guadix, the historic town of Baza, and the mountain pass of Puerto Lumbreras. We then follow the Mediterranean coastline towards Valencia. After we've checked in to the hotel, the rest of the day is free for you to explore this coastal city.
Day 7 - Valencia to Barcelona
Valencia - Barcelona. You've got some free time this morning to further explore Valencia at your own pace. We're departing mid-morning for Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia and home to one of Europe's most iconic landmarks: Gaudi's Sagrada Familia. On arrival, the rest of the day is free for you to head out and explore, and maybe find a good tapas restaurant for dinner. Please note that on some departures, the guided tour of Barcelona may take place this afternoon.
Day 8 - Exploring Barcelona
This morning we embark on a morning city sightseeing tour. in Barcelona. Visit Montjuic Park for spectacular views, see the Olympic Ring, the Columbus Monument, and explore the historic Gothic Quarter. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, with time to visit the Sagrada Familia if you wish. In the evening, you can opt for a night tour that takes you through illuminated avenues, buildings, and fountains, or you can spend your final night in Spain at your leisure.
Day 9 - Zaragoza & Madrid
Barcelona - Zaragoza - Madrid. After breakfast, we begin our journey towards Madrid with a stop in the historic city of Zaragoza, capital of the Aragon region. During our brief visit, stretch your legs and soak up the atmosphere of the Plaza del Pilar, one of the largest squares in Spain and home to the magnificent Basilica del Pilar. You might also take a quick stroll to see the striking Cathedral of La Seo or admire the medieval stone Puente de Piedra bridge. After our brief stop in Zaragoza, we continue on to Madrid, where our tour comes to an end on arrival.
You will dropped on Ferraz Street, near the Plaza de Espana at approximately 17:30, though this time is subject to external factors such as traffic and passenger delays.
