Day 1 - Lisbon
Upon your arrival in Lisbon, we'll ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel, offering you the perfect opportunity to settle in. You'll have some free time to unwind and explore at your leisure, whether you choose to uncover the city's charm or simply relax. Later in the afternoon, you can visit the hotel reception to find important information about the start of your journey, helping you prepare for the exciting days ahead. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Lisbon
We'll begin our exploration of Lisbon, the enchanting Portuguese capital, with a morning sightseeing tour. Discover the city's unique character as we wander through its charming alleys, adorned with iconic tiles, while taking in the feeling of "saudade" and basking in the brilliant Atlantic light. Our tour will also lead us to the historic neighbourhood of Belem, the launch point for the great Portuguese navigators of the 15th century. After absorbing all this rich history in the morning, you'll have the afternoon free to explore the city at your own pace. Consider visiting the vibrant Bairro Alto district, renowned for its lively atmosphere and stunning viewpoints. Alternatively, you might choose to embark on an optional excursion to the nearby towns of Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril. As the day comes to a close, we'll gather in the bustling Restauradores Square, a lively hub filled with bars and cafs, before returning to our hotel for the night.
Day 3 - Lisbon - Caceres - Madrid
On day three, we set off early, departing Lisbon and heading into the scenic Alentejo region of Portugal. As we journey through this picturesque landscape, we make a stop in Estremoz, a quaint town characterised by cobbled streets and a medieval castle. It's an ideal spot to pause for a coffee and soak in the tranquil atmosphere that reflects the essence of Portuguese heritage. Continuing our travels, we cross the border into Spain, where we arrive in Cceres. Here, you'll have time to enjoy lunch and wander through its historic centrean exceptionally preserved showcase of medieval and Renaissance architecture. Our day concludes in Madrid, where we arrive in the evening. You'll be transferred to Plaza Mayor, a vibrant hub filled with restaurants and lively energy.
Day 4 - Madrid
Begin your day in Madrid with an extensive tour of the city centre, where we will explore iconic sites such as Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, Puerta de Alcal, Plaza de Coln, and Plaza Mayor. Our journey continues to Retiro Park, a serene haven in the bustling city where we will admire the lake and the impressive Palacio de Cristal. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Santiago Bernabu Stadium, a revered venue for football fans and the home of Real Madrid. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure, exploring the vibrant city. In the evening, we will ensure a comfortable return to your hotel.
Day 5 - Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Barcelona
In the morning, we will set off for Aragon, making our way through the heart of Castile. Our first stop will be in Zaragoza, where we will admire the splendid Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture. Well then continue our journey to the tranquil Poblet Abbey, renowned as one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in the world. Tickets for entry to the abbey are included in the itinerary. As the day concludes, well head to the vibrant city of Barcelona, where we will arrive in the evening, ready to explore and absorb its unique charm.
Day 6 - Barcelona - Girona
In the morning, we will explore the captivating city of Barcelona, nestled by the Mediterranean Sea. Known for its lively streets and impressive modernist architecture by the acclaimed Antoni Gaud, Barcelona is a blend of artistic brilliance and vibrant life. As we stroll along the famous Ramblas and uncover the city's rich history, you'll appreciate why it's one of Europe's most fascinating capitals. In the evening, we'll set off from Barcelona, heading north into Catalonia. Our journey continues to Girona, where we will wander through its historic centre. Discover the charm of its colourful houses, the ambience of the old Jewish quarter, and marvel at the majestic cathedral before settling into our hotel for the night.
Day 7 - Girona - Carrieres des Lumieres - Chambery
We will travel into France through the captivating region of Provence, renowned for its picturesque landscapes. Our first destination is Arles, a charming city linked to Van Gogh and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, we can explore the Roman theatre and delightful Romanesque churches. You will have the opportunity to wander around and enjoy lunch. Our journey continues with a visit to the Carrires des Lumires, a mesmerising underground art exhibit in an ancient quarry, showcasing a dynamic fusion of art, imagery, and sound. In the evening, we will arrive in Chambry, the quaint capital of Savoy, known for its medieval ambience, charming historic centre, and majestic castle. Please note that if tickets for the Carrires des Lumires are unavailable due to high demand, we will instead visit the Pont du Gard, a remarkable Roman aqueduct.
Day 8 - Chambery - Geneva - Gruyeres - Leysin
Today, we head to Switzerland, arriving amidst the serene beauty of Geneva. In the company of our guide, we visit the Palais des Nations, the European headquarters of the United Nations. We continue to the picturesque English Garden, where you can admire the iconic flower clock, and the Jet dEau, which is the tallest fountain in Europe. Our adventure then takes us to the enchanting village of Gruyres, famed for its cheese. Nearby lies a cluster of Switzerland's renowned chocolate factories, including Nestl. Our itinerary includes a visit to the Maison Cailler Chocolate Factory, where you can indulge in a delightful chocolate-tasting experience. As we journey along scenic roads, you'll marvel at the bucolic mountain landscapes and quaint wooden villages. Our next stop is Chillon Castle, majestically perched on the shores of Lake Geneva, where admission is included. We will arrive in Leysin by mid-afternoon. Known for its stunning views of the Rhne Valley and Mont Blanc, Leysin is a delightful alpine village famous for its winter sports and hiking trails. We'll settle down for dinner here tonight. Do note that, based on availability, we might accommodate in another charming Swiss town nestled in the Alps, such as Martigny.
Day 9 - Leysin - Interlaken - Lucerne - Zurich
Today, prepare to be captivated by Switzerland's breathtaking alpine beauty. We'll begin with a thrilling ascent to Glacier 3000 via cable car, offering sweeping views of the eternal ice and snow. Here, you can experience the exhilaration of crossing a suspended bridge between two peaks, explore the exquisite Ice Cathedral, or enjoy the fun-filled activities at the Fun Park. After relishing the alpine paradise, we'll make our way to Interlaken for a delightful lunch break amidst picturesque surroundings. Our journey continues to Lucerne, celebrated as one of Switzerland's most enchanting cities, with its serene lakeside setting and charming architecture. As evening approaches, we'll reach Zurich, where you'll have a bit of time to discover the city's vibrant centre before settling into your accommodation. Do note, in case of adverse weather conditions, the Glacier 3000 cable car might be unavailable, but rest assured, we'll have an equally magnificent alpine experience planned.
Day 10 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
We begin our day early, leaving Zurich to journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Swiss Alps, venturing into the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Our first destination is Bellinzona, famed for its trio of medieval castles, which proudly stand as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These robust fortresses, perched regally on the hills, underscore Bellinzonas strategic importance through history. Here, you will have time to explore the quaint streets of the town centre at your leisure.As we continue, we cross the border into Italy and make a stop in the picturesque town of Como. Known as the jewel of Lombardy, Como is celebrated for its elegant gardens by the lake and its magnificent cathedral, a stunning example of Gothic architecture. You'll have time to enjoy lunch in this delightful setting.After our visit to Como, we head onward to the vibrant city of Milan. Upon our arrival, our guide will lead us to the impressive Piazza del Duomo, where you will be captivated by the grandeur of Milans iconic cathedral. Here, you can immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere, with plenty of time to wander and discover the surrounding areas before we return to our hotel for the night.
Day 11 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
Today, we continue our journey from Milan to the iconic city of Pisa. We will travel by a charming little train that takes us to the Piazza dei Miracoli, also known as the Square of Miracles. Here, you'll have the opportunity to marvel at the incomparable art complex, featuring the renowned Leaning Tower of Pisa, one of the most esteemed sights in Italy. After taking in the architectural wonders and capturing unforgettable photos, we will proceed to Rome, where we will arrive later in the day. Sit back and enjoy the scenic journey as we move from the artful elegance of Pisa to the historical grandeur of Rome.
Day 12 - Rome
In the morning, we will embark on an insightful three-hour guided exploration of the storied Eternal City, Rome. This tour seamlessly blends walking through historic Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus ride, offering a comprehensive glimpse into one of Western civilisation's most influential cities. We will marvel at iconic sites such as the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, the Circus Maximus, and the Baths of Caracalla. Our journey will also include visits to the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and the stately Castel Sant'Angelo. After capturing the breathtaking scenery, we will make our way to the historic centre. Once there, you'll have some time for lunch before we embark on a guided walking tour with a local expert. After the guided tour, you'll have free time to wander and discover more at your leisure. Day 14 - Florence - Venice
Today, we'll journey through the picturesque scenery of the Apennine Mountains, making our way to the beautiful city of Venice. Upon arrival, we'll board a boat to cross the Giudecca Canal, leading us to the enchanting Island of Venice. Our local guide will take us to the iconic St. Mark's Square, renowned for its stunning architecture and vibrant atmosphere. After our guided tour, we will visit a traditional Murano Glass Factory to witness the intricate process of glassblowing, a centuries-old Venetian art. You'll have some free time to explore the island's charming narrow streets and canals before we return to our accommodation in the Mestre district.
Day 15 - Venice - Innsbruck - Salzburg
We will leave the romantic canals of Venice behind as we venture into Austria. Our first stop will be Innsbruck, the charming capital of Tyrol, where youll have time to explore the citys picturesque historic centre and enjoy lunch amidst its stunning Alpine scenery. Well then continue our journey through the breathtaking mountain roads, leading us to the idyllic village of Kitzbhel, renowned for its world-class ski resort and year-round snow enjoyment. Here, youll have time to wander around and absorb the beauty of this quintessential alpine village. As the day draws to a close, well make our way to Salzburg, ensuring we arrive in time to settle in and relax after a day full of exploration. Please note, if the number of travellers is limited, we may opt to travel by train from Venice to Innsbruck.
Day 16 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
On this day, we delve deeper into Austria's captivating charm. Our morning begins in Salzburg, the enchanting city known as Mozart's birthplace. With its stunning Renaissance and Baroque architecture, the city sits gracefully under the watchful gaze of its grand castle. Once we've absorbed Salzburg's splendour, we journey through breathtaking landscapes of lakes and mountains to reach St. Wolfgang, a revered pilgrimage destination. From here, we'll venture to Traunkirchen, nestled beside the picturesque Traunsee Lake. We'll embark on a cruise across the lake, offering a chance to admire four of its historic castles. In the afternoon, you're free to explore Vienna at your own pace. Later, we will take you to the Grinzing district, a charming area known for its traditional Austrian taverns, where you can enjoy some free time to savour a meal.
Day 18 - Vienna - Budapest
We begin our day with a three-hour journey to Budapest, Hungary's vibrant capital. Our first stop is Vci Utca, a bustling area perfect for a leisurely lunch. Afterward, we set sail on the Danube River, offering us a unique vantage point to view the historic districts of Buda on one bank and the modern atmosphere of Pest on the otherunquestionably breathtaking scenes. This is followed by a panoramic tour of Budapest, often referred to as the "Queen of the Danube," where you'll have time to soak in the city's beauty at your own pace. In the evening, you have the option to join us for a traditional Magyar show with a dinner experience, should you choose to explore this cultural delight further.
Day 19 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague

Our journey then continues as we cross into Germany, tracing part of the picturesque Romantic Road. Admission isn't included, but the experience is well worth it. Following this, we'll return to Paris to explore Montmartre, an enchanting bohemian quarter celebrated for its rich artistic history and vibrant cabaret scene.To capture the essence of Paris, we'll embark on a panoramic tour led by a local guide, highlighting the city's grand boulevards and iconic landmarks. As we weave through the historic streets, you'll gain a deeper appreciation of what makes this city so magnificent. Later, we'll ensure a comfortable return to the hotel, but for those looking to experience the city's famed nightlife, an optional variety show awaits you in the evening.
Day 26 - Paris
We'll begin our day in the heart of Paris, starting with a visit to the renowned Eiffel Tower. You'll have the opportunity to ascend to the second floor of this iconic iron monument, with tickets included. Following this, we will unwind with a scenic boat cruise along the Seine River, lasting roughly one hour and fifteen minutes, offering a unique vantage point of Paris's landmarks. The afternoon is yours to explore the city at your leisure, giving you the freedom to discover Parisian delights at your own pace. Please note that the return transfer to the hotel is not included. If the wait times at the Eiffel Tower prove too lengthy, we may reschedule your visit to a more convenient time, possibly on Sunday. As our journey concludes, you'll depart with cherished memories of this remarkable city. Do remember to check your flight timing, as you might need to arrange an additional night's stay if necessary.
