Day 1 - Warsaw
Upon your arrival in Warsaw, we will provide a convenient transfer to your hotel. Once there, you will have some free time to settle in and start exploring this vibrant city at your own pace. Later in the afternoon, visit the hotel reception where you will find essential information about the commencement of your tour on the notice boards. Enjoy your first day in Poland's captivating capital, a city rich in history and culture, as you prepare for the adventures ahead. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Warsaw
On day two, we embark on a panoramic tour of Warsaw, the vibrant political and economic heart of Poland, with a local guide. As the city is home to nearly two million people, youll witness a captivating blend of modern architecture alongside meticulously restored historical structures. Our tour includes a stroll through Warsaws enchanting old town, where youll encounter the Royal Palace and charming cobbled streets, all tastefully reconstructed after the damage they suffered during World War II. The old towns revival has earned it a World Heritage Site designation, serving as a testament to the citys resilience.Our journey continues with a visit to the Palace of Culture, a towering gift from the Soviet Union, followed by a reflective pause at the site of what was once the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe. Well also meander through Lazienki Park, where the renowned Chopin Monument stands amidst picturesque surroundings.The afternoon allows you the freedom to further explore Warsaw at your own pace. You might choose to visit fascinating museums such as the National Museum or the Warsaw Rising Museum, or simply enjoy the lively city centre with its array of shops and engaging activities.
Day 3 - Warsaw - Olsztyn - Elblag Canal - Malbork - Gdansk
On the third day, after a hearty breakfast, well set off for the northern reaches of Poland. Our journey begins with a visit to Olsztynek, where well explore the fascinating open-air Museum of Folk Architecture. Here, you can step back in time as you admire the traditional wooden houses, aged mills, and a historic church all included in your tour. Moving on, well visit the Elblag Canal, the longest navigable canal in Poland. This remarkable site includes a museum in an area where boats navigate land via rails to tackle elevation differences. Our day continues as we travel to Malbork to experience the grandeur of its medieval castle, a sprawling 13th-century fortress built by the Teutonic Order and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admission to the castle, along the green route, is included. In the evening, well arrive in Gdansk formerly Danzig where the vibrant historic centre beckons for an evening stroll to soak in its charming atmosphere.
Day 4 - Gdansk - Sopot - Sopot - Nynshamn Ferry
Following breakfast, we will embark on a guided exploration of the European Solidarity Centre in Gda?sk. This striking modern edifice honours the history of the Solidarity movement, which was instrumental in the fall of the Soviet Union. A highlight is the monument dedicated to the fallen workers. Next, we will visit the Museum of the Second World War. This impressive institution, inaugurated in 2017, serves as a poignant reminder of the 3 to 6 million lives lost in Poland during the conflict. After our visit, you'll have the opportunity to explore Gda?sk's historic centre at your leisure. We'll then head to Sopot, a delightful seaside resort renowned for its lively atmosphere. Sopot features a long stretch of sandy beach and boasts one of Europe's longest wooden piers, offering breathtaking views of the Baltic Sea. In the evening, we will board a contemporary ferry for our journey to Sweden, with departure scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Overnight accommodation is provided in cabins, and breakfast is included.
Day 5 - Sopot - Nynshamn Ferry - Stockholm
Following an enjoyable overnight ferry journey, we will disembark in Karlskrona, situated in the picturesque south of Sweden, around 06:30 in the morning. Our travels then continue towards Stockholm, and we make a stop in Vstervik, a quaint coastal town renowned for its charming historic centre. Strolling through its picturesque streets offers a glimpse into the town's rich past and seaside allure. By the afternoon, we will reach Stockholm, the illustrious capital of Sweden. This stunning city is uniquely set across fourteen islands, interlinked by bridges and ferries, nestled within the captivating archipelago of the Baltic Sea. Known for its seamless blend of historical charm and modern innovation, Stockholm invites you to explore its rich cultural tapestry. The afternoon will be at your leisureperhaps you might wander through the historic centre, with its cobbled streets and waterfront views, or take in the city's vibrant parks and renowned museums. Stockholms dynamic character offers something for every wanderer.
Day 6 - Stockholm - Mora
Enjoy breakfast in Stockholm before embarking on a guided city tour of Swedens vibrant capital, uniquely set across 14 interconnected islands. We'll explore Gamla Stan, the city's enchanting old town known as the "City between the Bridges." This lively area is home to many monumental buildings, including the Nobel Museum located near Stortorget, the main square that celebrates Nobel Prize winners, the grand Cathedral, and the Royal Palace. A visit to the Fjllgatan viewpoint offers a remarkable panoramic view of this picturesque city. After the tour, youll have some time to explore the city at your own pace. Around 16:00, we will set off on our journey northwest through Sweden, passing through a scenic landscape of rolling hills, agricultural lands, quaint villages, and shimmering lakes. We will arrive in Mora by evening, a small city nestled between two lakes. Mora holds historical significance as the location where Gustav I of Sweden gained the support of the local population in 1521 to rally against the Danish invasion.
Day 7 - Mora - Funsdalen - Roros - Trondheim
We will set off early for Norway, traversing expansive forests, serene lakes, and majestic mountains. Our first destination is Funsdalen, a renowned ski resort enveloped in stunning natural beauty. Following our visit, we will proceed to Rros, where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and explore this historic mining town, acclaimed for its picturesque charm and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Notable features include the enchanting historic centre and the preserved miners' houses. You can also visit a museum dedicated to the towns storied foundry. Our journey concludes in Trondheim, located on Norways central coast. As the country's third-largest city, Trondheim is steeped in history, dating back to the Viking era, and once served as Norway's capital during the Middle Ages. Key attractions include its 11th-century cathedral and the iconic old bridge spanning the canal. Youll have the chance to explore Trondheim's vibrant nightlife and sample its diverse culinary offerings.
Day 8 - Trondheim - Kristiansund - Atlantic Road - Molde
Today, after exploring the heart of Trondheim, we set off on a scenic journey along the stunning Norwegian coastline, continuing past the awe-inspiring fjords of the Norwegian Sea. Our first significant stop is Kristiansund, a picturesque city steeped in maritime tradition and spread over several islands, linked by elegant bridges and embankments. Here, you can wander through cobblestone streets, relishing the charming atmosphere as well as the variety of shops, restaurants, and cafs. After enjoying lunch in this delightful setting, we traverse captivating landscapes to reach the historic Kvernes Stave Church. Dating back to the 14th century, this church boasts remarkable features, such as a 300-year-old ship model and beautiful altarpieces dedicated to the Virgin Mary, with admission included in your tour.Continuing our adventure, we drive along the renowned Atlantic Road, celebrated for its breathtaking scenery. The road stitches together several islands via eight bridges, offering dramatic coastal views with waves often crashing against the shores, enhancing the visual spectacle. A stop is made at one of the viewpoints to admire the sweeping views and soak up the striking natural beauty before we conclude our day in the lovely town of Molde. Nestled along a fjord, Molde is a welcoming town known for its stunning location and as a favoured docking point for numerous cruise ships. Here, we end our day surrounded by Norway's captivating landscapes.
Day 9 - Molde - Geiranger - Briksdalsbreen - Loen
Today, we'll set off on a journey of awe-inspiring landscapes as we explore some of Norway's most stunning natural wonders. Our adventure begins with a scenic ferry crossing of the Romsdal Fjorda 50-minute journey through breathtaking vistas. From there, we'll ascend into the snowy mountains before descending to the magnificent Storfjorden. Another ferry ride, lasting 30 minutes, will guide us past snow-capped peaks to the Eagle Viewpoint, which offers one of the most spectacular views in Norway, overlooking the Geiranger Fjord. This fjord, a World Heritage Site, is renowned for its unparalleled beauty, featuring dramatic cliffs and cascading waterfalls.In Geiranger, you'll have time at your leisure to exploreperhaps by taking a boat trip along the majestic fjord, wandering beside the enchanting waterfalls that grace the village, or simply relaxing amidst the stunning scenery. Following lunchtime, we'll continue our journey through grand mountain landscapes and formidable fjords. Our next destination is Briksdalsbreen, a magnificent glacier set in a striking natural setting. Here, you'll have the opportunity to hike from the base to the glacier, choosing to walk or opt for an electric vehicle (if you wish, this is optional). Dinner will be provided as we settle in for the night in Loen, a quaint town nestled by the fjord. In Loen, there's the option to embark on one of the world's steepest cable car rides, ascending from the fjord to heights over 1,000 metres above sea levelan extraordinary experience not to be missed.
Day 10 - Loen - Bergen
Our journey begins early today as we embark on a scenic drive encompassing just under 300 kilometres of Norway's stunning landscapes en route to Bergen. Our path will guide us along the picturesque shores of fjords and across majestic mountain terrain, with a scenic ferry crossing adding to the experience. Anticipating our arrival in Bergen around lunchtime, we've arranged a memorable cable car excursion to Flyen Mountain, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city below. Afterwards, you're free to explore Bergen at your own pace. This vibrant city, renowned for its rich cultural life and enchanting natural surroundings, promises an array of activities. We suggest taking a leisurely stroll through Bryggen, the historic dock district, celebrated for its strikingly colourful wooden buildings and status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Alternatively, you might venture to the lively fish market, where an array of fresh seafood and small restaurants await, or perhaps visit the renowned Bergen Aquarium.
Day 11 - Bergen - Eidfjord - Voringfossen - Geilo - Oslo
We will begin our day in Bergen and set off early to explore the captivating landscapes of Norway. Our route will take us over the impressive suspension bridge spanning the Hardanger Fjord, one of the countrys most picturesque fjords. In Eidfjord, a charming village nestled on the fjords edge, we'll take a brief stop. The adventure continues as we visit Vringsfossen, renowned as Norways most breathtaking waterfall, with its staggering 182-metre drop. Explore the viewpoints and bridges for spectacular vistas of the falls.Our journey will carry on through dramatic scenery, traversing high plateaus that are often frozen and dotted with tranquil lakes and sweeping snowfields. We'll arrive in the ski resort town of Geilo in time for lunch. Post-lunch, we will head towards Oslo, arriving by evening. In the Norwegian capital, we suggest a visit to the vibrant city centre to soak up its atmosphere. If youre up for it, stroll by the historic harbour and perhaps ascend to the rooftop terrace of the modern Opera House for stunning views.
Day 12 - Oslo - Oslo - Copenhagen Ferry
Today begins with a panoramic tour of Oslo, Norway's vibrant capital, renowned for its lush greenery and captivating landscapes. Our local guide will lead us past the Royal Palace and Frogner Park, where you'll witness the park's stunning collection of sculptures. Well also view the exterior of the Town Hall, explore the old port, and admire the modern architectural design of the Opera House. Afterwards, youll have time to explore the city at your own pace. Perhaps visit one of Oslos renowned museums or enjoy a leisurely stroll through its lively streets.In the afternoon, well board a modern night ferry, offering cruise-ship comforts, as we set sail to Denmark. The journey across the sea promises relaxation and scenic beauty, with accommodation in cabins and breakfast included. Please note that the ferry is scheduled to depart at 3:00 p.m., with boarding from 2:00 p.m., and is expected to arrive in Copenhagen at 10:00 a.m. Keep in mind that ferry schedules may vary. Spend the evening enjoying the amenities on board as we cruise overnight towards our next adventure.
Day 13 - Oslo - Copenhagen Ferry - Copenhagen
We will arrive in Copenhagen in the morning and begin our exploration of this vibrant city with a guided panoramic tour. Known for its high quality of life and commitment to sustainability, Copenhagen offers a wealth of cultural experiences. Our tour will include a visit to the iconic Little Mermaid statue, a stroll along Nyhavn Harbour with its picturesque historic buildings, and a look at the exterior of Amalienborg Palace, the Danish royal family's residence. We'll also explore City Hall Square and the Tivoli Gardens area. The afternoon is yours to discover more of the city at your own pace.
Day 14 - Copenhagen
Following breakfast, our adventure concludes in Copenhagen, offering you a host of cherished memories to take home.
