Day 1 - Warsaw
Upon your arrival in Warsaw, we'll provide your transfer to the hotel, allowing you some leisure time to unwind and explore at your own pace. Later in the afternoon, you can gather tour details from the information boards located in the hotel reception area. Please be aware that the group composition on this tour might vary, with travellers joining or departing at different stages along the route. However, rest assured that the group size will always remain within comfortable limits. Day 2 - Warsaw - Lodz - Torun - Gdansk
On our second day, we leave Warsaw and head westward to explore the city of ?d?, the third largest in Poland. Once a bustling industrial hub, ?d? underwent significant changes following the war and the socialist era. Our visit includes a stop at the museum dedicated to the Jewish ghetto, the second largest of its kind during World War II, and we'll also see the small train station nearby all entrance fees are included. Afterwards, you'll have time to enjoy lunch and take in the vibrant atmosphere of Manufaktura, a vast shopping and leisure complex that once served as a textile factory.Our journey then takes us to Toru?, a striking Gothic city known for its well-preserved historic centre, which has been recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This city is also the birthplace of the renowned astronomer Copernicus, and you might choose to visit the museum in his former home. From Toru?, we continue towards Gda?sk, historically known as Danzig, arriving in the late afternoon. The city's historic centre is lively and inviting, perfect for an evening stroll to soak up the ambience.
Day 3 - Gdansk
After a hearty breakfast, we'll begin our day with a guided visit to the European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk. This vast and modern building pays tribute to the "Solidarity" movement, integral to the collapse of the Soviet Union, and features a poignant monument to the fallen workers. We'll then pass by the Museum of the Second World War, noting that it is closed on Mondays. Our adventure continues to Sopot, a nearby chic seaside retreat with a vibrant atmosphere and expansive beach along the Baltic Sea. Youll have time for a leisurely stroll across Europe's longest wooden pier, soaking in beautiful views, and enjoy lunch at your own pace. Later, well return to Gdansk, where you will have free time to delve deeper into this remarkable city, taking in its unique blend of history and lively present.
Day 4 - Gdansk - Malbork - Frombork - Elblag - Warsaw
We continue our adventure to Malbork, where you'll have the opportunity to explore the remarkable castleone of the largest medieval castles in Europe, constructed in the 13th century by the Teutonic Order. This magnificent fortress, recognised as a World Heritage Site, is included in our itinerary on the renowned green route. Following our visit, we travel to the tranquil village of Frombork, nestled on Poland's northeastern coast. Here, you'll discover a beautifully preserved walled complex, the final resting place of Nicolaus Copernicus, and have time to wander and enjoy lunch.Our journey then takes us to the Elbl?g Canal, the longest navigable canal in Poland and a testament to 19th-century engineering ingenuity. We provide an insightful tour of the museum dedicated to this industrial marvel, where boats are uniquely transported over land on rails to navigate changes in elevation. As the day comes to a close, we'll make our way to Warsaw, the vibrant capital of Poland, arriving by evening.
Day 5 - Warsaw
On the fifth day of our journey, we embark on a panoramic tour of Warsaw with a knowledgeable local guide. As the bustling political and economic heart of Poland, Warsaw is a fascinating blend of modern skyscrapers and carefully restored historical sites. We wander through the enchanting old town, remarkable for its cobbled streets and old buildings, which, along with the Royal Palace, were meticulously reconstructed after the devastation of World War II. This area, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a testament to the city's resilience. We'll visit the Palace of Culture, a towering symbol of Soviet-era architecture, and take a moment to reflect on the poignant history of the former Jewish ghetto, once the largest in Europe. Our tour includes a leisurely stroll through Lazienki Park, where you can admire the serene beauty of the Chopin Monument. In the afternoon, you have free time to explore further; consider visiting the National Museum or the Warsaw Rising Museum, or enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the city centre, brimming with shops and activities. Please note that the city tour might be conducted on a shared tourist service, subject to the number of participants.
Day 6 - Warsaw
Following breakfast, our tour concludes, leaving you with cherished memories of your journey.
