Day 1 - Warsaw
On the first day of your journey, you will arrive in Warsaw, where we will arrange your transfer to the hotel. Once settled in, you will have some time to explore the city at your leisure. In the afternoon, do check the information boards at the hotel reception for details regarding the commencement of your tour. This time can be used to get acquainted with your surroundings or simply relax after your travels. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Warsaw
We begin our day exploring the vibrant city of Warsaw with a guided panoramic tour. As Poland's capital and a political and economic centre, Warsaw seamlessly combines contemporary designs with beautifully restored historic architecture. Our journey takes us through the enchanting old town, where you'll traverse cobbled streets lined with historic buildings, including the Royal Palaceall meticulously rebuilt after the devastation of World War II and now honoured as a World Heritage Site. We'll visit the imposing Palace of Culturean iconic skyscraper gifted by the Soviet Unionand reflect on the sombre history of Warsaw's Jewish ghetto, once the largest in Europe. A stroll through Lazienki Park will introduce you to the serene Chopin Monument.In the afternoon, you're free to discover Warsaw at your own pace. Consider visiting the city's many museums, such as the National Museum or the Warsaw Rising Museum, or explore the bustling city centre teeming with shops and activities.
Day 3 - Warsaw - Olsztyn - Elblag Canal - Malbork - Gdansk
After breakfast, we depart for northern Poland. Our first stop is Olsztynek, where we will visit the open-air Museum of Folk Architecture, a fascinating collection of wooden houses, old mills and a traditional church that gives you a glimpse into the past (entry included). We then continue to the Elbl?g Canal, the longest navigable canal in Poland. Here, you will visit a unique museum showcasing the engineering marvel where boats are transported over land on rails to overcome elevation changes. Next, we head to Malbork to explore its grand castle, one of the largest medieval castles in Europe, built by the Teutonic Order in the 13th century and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site (entry included, following the green route). We arrive in Gda?sk, previously known as Danzig, in the evening. The citys historic centre is both stunning and lively an evening stroll is highly recommended to soak in the vibrant atmosphere.
Day 4 - Gdansk - Sopot - Sopot - Nynshamn Ferry
Following breakfast, we will explore the European Solidarity Centre in Gda?sk, a modern architectural marvel celebrating the pivotal Solidarity movement's role in the fall of Soviet influence. One of the significant sites we'll visit includes the monument dedicated to fallen workers. Admission to the Museum of the Second World War is included in our itinerary. This museum, which opened its doors in 2017, offers a poignant insight into the millions of lives lost in Poland during the conflict. Afterwards, there's free time to wander through the historic centre before we journey to Sopot. This charming Baltic seaside resort is renowned for its lively atmosphere, long sandy beaches, and Europes longest wooden pier, offering breathtaking sea views. In the evening, we will board a modern ferry, embark on a comfortable cruise-style journey to Sweden, and enjoy overnight accommodation in cabins. The ferry is scheduled to depart at 7:30 p.m., and breakfast is included during our voyage.
Day 5 - Sopot - Nynshamn Ferry - Stockholm
Following our comfortable overnight ferry crossing, we will arrive in Karlskrona, located in the southern part of Sweden, at approximately 06:30 in the morning. We will then journey onward to Stockholm, taking a brief pause in Vstervik. This charming seaside town boasts a picturesque historic centre that offers a perfect opportunity for a short exploration. In the afternoon, we will reach Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. This enchanting city, situated across fourteen islands within the Baltic Sea archipelago, is a marvel of rich history and striking architecture, seamlessly blending modernity with tradition. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to enjoy at your leisure. We suggest a stroll through Stockholm's historic centre or perhaps a visit to its numerous museums and tranquil parks the choice is yours to make the most of this vibrant city.
Day 6 - Stockholm
Today, we will embark on a panoramic tour of Stockholm, a captivating capital city gracefully set on 14 interconnected islands. Our explorations will take us to Gamla Stan, the vibrant old town famously known as "the city between bridges." Here, we will admire its grand buildings, including the Nobel Prize Museum, located beside Stortorget, the central square that honours the achievements of Nobel Prize laureates. We will also view the Cathedral and the Royal Palace, key landmarks of this historical area. When the opportunity arises, we will take in the breathtaking views from the Fjllgatan viewpoint, offering a sweeping vista of the cityscape. Afterwards, you will have the remainder of the day to explore at your leisure. We suggest visiting the various museums and parks, or, if you prefer, you can opt to explore the City Hall and the Vasa Museum.
Day 7 - Stockholm
