As Perus bustling capital of around 10 million people, Lima blends modern life with a rich historical backdrop and is currently experiencing dynamic cultural and economic growth. You may choose to rest and recover from your journey or explore the city at your own pace. Alternatively, you can opt to join our private evening excursion to the Magic Water Circuit a spectacular display of fountains recognised by the Guinness World Records as the largest of its kind. Please note this option is not available on Sundays or Mondays and departs at 17:30, lasting approximately four hours. Overnight accommodation is provided on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 2 - Lima
After breakfast at the hotel, we explore Limas historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in colonial architecture. Begin with a guided tour of the citys colonial heart, taking in the impressive buildings that reflect the grandeur of the Spanish Empire. Visit the striking Cathedral and then the Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion granted in 1535 by Francisco Pizarro to Jernimo de Aliaga; it remains in the same family to this day. Later, we continue to the Larco Museum in the Pueblo Libre district, housed in a restored viceregal mansion built atop a pre-Columbian pyramid. The museum holds an extensive collection of pre-Hispanic gold and silver artefacts, including notable pieces of erotic art. The afternoon is free for you to relax or explore independently. Overnight in Lima.
Day 3 - Lima - Cusco

Please ensure your domestic flight arrives no later than 10:30 to allow sufficient time for your onward transfer. Upon arrival in Cusco, a representative will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. In the afternoon, we take you on a guided tour of Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. The tour begins at the Santo Domingo Convent, a Renaissance-baroque complex built atop the Inca Coricancha templeonce a significant sun worship site, whose foundations remain visible. Next, visit the Cathedral, the dominant landmark of the Main Square. We then head to the hills overlooking Cusco to explore the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, known for its impressive stone ramparts and panoramic views. Nearby are the ruins of Qenqo, believed to have been used for agricultural rituals, and Puka Pukara, an Inca military complex featuring well-preserved structures such as dwellings, aqueducts, and towers. After the tour, we return you to your hotel. Please note your flight to Cusco is not included. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 4 - Yucay
After breakfast, we depart from Cusco and travel through the Sacred Valley to the archaeological site of Moray, about an hour and a half away. Moray features a series of concentric circular terraces, each with its own microclimate, though its exact purpose remains uncertain. We then continue to Maras, where thousands of salt ponds create a striking landscape. These salt pans have been worked since Inca times and remain an important source of livelihood for local families. After exploring the area, we transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley for an overnight stay.

Next, we visit the Living Museum of Yucay, where traditional Andean crafts such as textile weaving, pottery, adobe work, and silverware are still made by hand. The museum is home to llamas, sheep, and alpacas, which you can feed. Afterwards, enjoy lunch in Ollantaytambo, savouring authentic Andean cuisine in a cosy setting that reflects the spirit of the Sacred Valley. In the afternoon, explore Ollantaytambo itself, a town continuously inhabited since Inca times, and climb to its impressive fortress nestled against the mountainside. After the tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel in the Sacred Valley for your overnight stay.

It was abandoned within a century following the Spanish conquest but remained hidden from destruction, concealed by the surrounding jungle. A guided tour will reveal the history and significance of this extraordinary site, highlighting its key landmarks. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at Caf Inkaterra, a charming thatched-roof restaurant nestled between the railway and the mountain. In the afternoon, we transfer you back to Aguas Calientes station for the train journey to Ollanta, where you will be met and taken to your hotel in Cusco for overnight.
