Day 1 - Lima
Upon arrival at Lima Airport, a guide and private transfer will meet you at the scheduled time to take you to your hotel in the city. Lima, Perus capital, is a dynamic metropolis rich in history and currently experiencing significant cultural and economic growth. In the afternoon, we will collect you from your hotel and escort you to Huaca Pucllana restaurant, set within the grounds of an ancient adobe pyramid built over 1,500 years ago. The restaurants rustic colonial-style setting complements its menu, which offers a fusion of traditional Peruvian flavours. After dinner, you will be returned to your hotel for an overnight stay in Lima.
Day 2 - Lima
After breakfast at the hotel, we begin the day with a visit to a local market, where youll explore the variety of fresh ingredients central to Peruvian cuisine. Next, we head to a well-known restaurant for a cocktail class, where youll learn to make the Pisco Sour, Perus national drink. Following this, we take part in a cooking class preparing traditional Peruvian dishes. At the end of the session, youll enjoy tasting the dishes youve created, offering a hands-on introduction to Limas culinary heritage. In the afternoon, we explore Limas historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our tour includes the Main Square, where you can admire the impressive colonial architecture, the 16th-century Cathedral, and Casa Aliagaa colonial mansion granted by Francisco Pizarro to one of his captains, still owned by the same family today. We then visit the Pueblo Libre district to explore the Larco Museum, housed in a restored viceregal mansion built atop a 7th-century pre-Columbian pyramid. The museum features an extensive collection of pre-Hispanic gold and silver artefacts, including pieces of erotic art. We return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Lima.
Day 3 - Lima
Today, we explore Barranco, Limas most romantic and bohemian district. Once the summer retreat for the citys wealthiest families in the early 20th century, Barranco is known for its distinctive architecture, charming mansions, art galleries and lively nightlife. Well stroll through its colourful streets before stopping at a traditional street food stand to sample local favourites. Youll taste anticuchos marinated beef heart skewers and picarones, a sweet squash-based dessert. After this authentic culinary experience, return to your hotel in Lima for the night.
Day 4 - Lima
After a hearty breakfast, we will transfer you from your hotel to the airport at the scheduled time. This marks the conclusion of your stay in Lima. Breakfast is included.
