Day 1 - Oslo
Welcome to Oslo, the gateway to your captivating journey! You will have time to unwind and acclimatise to your surroundings. Later in the afternoon, please check the hotel lobby information boards for details regarding the start of your tour. Day 2 - Oslo - Orebro - Stockholm
Today we begin with a panoramic tour of Oslo, Norway's captivating capital, guided by a local expert. Oslo artfully blends cutting-edge modern architecture with classical structures, set against a backdrop of majestic landscapes and expansive parks adorned with intriguing sculptures. It's no surprise that Oslo has earned the title of European Green Capital. Following our tour, you'll have time to explore the city at your own pace, uncovering its unique charm.Later, we depart for Sweden, travelling through picturesque landscapes rich with forests and serene lakes. Our journey takes us to rebro, a historic Swedish town set by a picturesque lake, featuring a striking castle and a quaint old town. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through its charming streets before we resume our journey, concluding the day with an evening arrival in Stockholm.
Day 3 - Stockholm
Today, we'll embark on a panoramic tour of Stockholm, a captivating city spread across 14 interconnected islands. Our exploration of this capital will take us to Gamla Stan, the vibrant old quarter affectionately known as "the city between bridges." Here, you'll admire monumental sites such as the Nobel Prize Museum, which sits beside the bustling main square of Stortorget, the Cathedral, and the grand Royal Palace. Whenever possible, we'll pause to soak in breathtaking views from the Fjllgatan viewpoint. Following the tour, you will have some free time to explore at your own pace. We highly recommend venturing into Stockholm's array of museums and parks. For those interested, optional visits to City Hall and the Vasa Museum are available.
Day 4 - Stockholm - Helsingor - Copenhagen
We proceed south from Stockholm, arriving first in the vibrant coastal town of Helsingborg. Here, you'll have some time to explore before we take a ferry to Helsingr in Denmark, departing in the early afternoon. Known as Hamlet's hometown, Helsingr is home to the remarkable Kronborg Castle. You can enjoy a stroll around this historic area before we continue our journey. We travel to Copenhagen, reaching the Danish capital by evening, where you'll have the night to unwind.
Day 5 - Copenhagen - Berlin
We begin the day with a guided panoramic tour of Copenhagen, Denmark's lively capital, celebrated for its high quality of life, environmental initiatives, and rich cultural scene. Well explore iconic landmarks, including The Little Mermaid statue, the colourful historical buildings along Nyhavn harbour, and the exterior of Amalienborg Palace, the residence of the Danish royal family. Our journey will also take us to Town Hall Square and the Tivoli Park area. Following our exploration of Copenhagen, well set off towards the south of Denmark. In Gedser, well board a ferry for a two-hour crossing to Germany, arriving in Warnemnde. From there, well continue our journey to Berlin, aiming to arrive by the end of the day. Please note that if only a small number of passengers are travelling between Copenhagen and Berlin, the trip may be completed through a regular passenger line, without affecting the itinerary.
Day 6 - Berlin
Immerse yourself in Berlin's vibrant culture with our guided panoramic tour of Germany's captivating capital. We'll explore the city's historic heart, including Museum Island, the Reichstag, and the iconic Brandenburg Gate. Meander through bustling shopping streets and enjoy the tranquillity of the city's beautiful parks. Our tour includes poignant visits to the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum, offering a reflective glimpse into the past. Return to us for an optional excursion to Potsdam, where you can marvel at its stunning palaces and intriguing history.
Day 7 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
Today, our journey takes us through the picturesque forests en route to Dresden, a city celebrated for its extraordinary architecture and artistic legacy, ranking among Germany's premier tourist spots. You'll have time here to marvel at the city's splendid palaces and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Later, we cross into the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague by mid-afternoon. We include a panoramic tour of this breathtaking city, with highlights such as the Castle, Town Hall Square, and the famed Charles Bridge. To conclude the day, we'll provide an evening transfer to the city centre, where you'll discover numerous traditional breweries waiting to be explored. Please note: In some cases, the city tour of Prague might occur on a Sunday.
Day 8 - Prague
Spend your free day in Prague discovering the city at your own pace. Alternatively, you can opt to delve into the artistic side of Prague. This includes visits to the enchanting district of Mala Strana, the revered site of the Infant Jesus of Prague, and the impressive St. Nicholas Church. You can also choose to enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Vltava River, offering a unique perspective of the city, or wander through the historic Jewish Quarter. The choice is yours to make the most of this remarkable city and its rich cultural tapestry.
Day 9 - Prague - Lednice - Budapest
Our journey on day nine begins early as we leave Prague, heading towards the Moravia region. Here, we will explore Lednice, a site of great cultural significance that has earned UNESCO World Heritage status, where you will have time to wander through its exquisite gardens and admire the magnificent castle. Continuing our route, we pass through Slovakia and enter Hungary, making a stop in Gy?r, known as the city of four rivers. Here, you'll have the chance to enjoy lunch and take a leisurely stroll through this picturesque locale. Our journey concludes in Budapest, where we anticipate arriving by mid-afternoon. In the evening, we will provide a transfer to the pedestrian area, offering you the opportunity to dine at traditional restaurants, many of which feature live music, sure to enrich your evening experience.
Day 10 - Budapest
We will start the day with a comprehensive tour of Budapest, a city elegantly divided by the majestic Danube River. Our visit will encompass the historic charm of Buda, featuring its quaint old town, as well as the vibrant and bustling districts of Pest. You will see the impressive landmarks and experience the rich cultural essence of this splendid city firsthand. The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace, allowing you to uncover the unique aspects of Budapest that intrigue you most.
Day 11 - Budapest - Bratislava - Trencin - Krakow
We'll set off early from Budapest, journeying north through Slovakia. Our first stop is Bratislava, the nation's capital, situated gracefully along the Danube. You'll have some time to wander through its charming historic centre, which nestles beneath a formidable castle.Next, we head to Trencin, a quaint medieval town in western Slovakia. Known for its striking castle and lively historic centre, Trencin invites you to explore and perhaps enjoy a leisurely lunch.In the afternoon, we'll continue our travels through Slovakia's scenic landscapes of lush forests and rolling hills as we journey towards Poland. We anticipate reaching Krakow by the end of the day.
Day 12 - Krakow - Wadowice - Auschwitz - Warsaw
Our day in Krakow starts with an insightful panoramic tour of the city, a historic gem in \"Lesser Poland\" founded in the 7th century. The UNESCO-listed historic centre charms with its medieval allure. We will meander through its enchanting streets, stopping at the expansive Main Market Square, one of Europe's largest and the city's bustling heart. We'll also visit Wawel Castle Hill, the residence of Polish monarchs in bygone days.Our journey continues to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, a serene town nestled in picturesque landscapes, renowned for its monastery and chapel complex. This significant pilgrimage site, known as the "Calvary," is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Next, we stop in Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope John Paul II, offering time for lunch and a leisurely stroll to absorb the local atmosphere. In the afternoon, we visit Auschwitz-Birkenau, the harrowing site of a Nazi concentration and extermination camp from World War II. We'll explore Birkenau (Camp II), where trains filled with deportees arrived from across Europe.We conclude our days travels by reaching Warsaw in the evening.
Day 13 - Warsaw
Today, we embark on a captivating panoramic tour of Warsaw with the guidance of a local expert. This vibrant city, home to nearly two million residents, serves as Polands political and economic centre. Its skyline is a fascinating mix of contemporary architecture and painstakingly restored historic edifices. Our tour takes us through the enchanting old town, with its cobblestone streets and beautifully rebuilt buildings, including the Royal Palace. This area, a testament to resilience after its wartime destruction, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Well also visit the iconic Palace of Culture, a towering gift from the Soviet Union, and reflect on the poignant history of the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe. Our stroll through Lazienki Park, where the serene Chopin Monument stands, offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling cityscape.In the afternoon, youll be free to delve deeper into Warsaws cultural offerings.
