Day 1 - Casablanca
Upon arriving in Casablanca, you'll be warmly welcomed to Morocco. From the airport, you'll be whisked away to your hotel to settle in and relax. At the end of the day, our guide will reach out to you to provide any assistance you may need and to detail the plans for the coming days. You'll enjoy a delightful dinner as part of your introduction to this vibrant city. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Casablanca - El Jadida - Safi
In the morning, we will embark on a guided exploration of Casablanca, Moroccos bustling economic heart. Our tour includes a leisurely walk along the grand avenues, a visit to the striking Mohamed V Square adorned with its fountain, Moorish architecture, and palm trees, as well as a stroll through the Arab League Park. We will also wander the streets of the charming little Medina. A highlight of our day is the admission to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque. As the only mosque in Morocco open to non-Muslims, it stands impressively by the sea, featuring a 210-metre-high minaret equipped with laser lights pointing towards Mecca. After the tour, you will have free time to savour lunch in the delightful maritime district of La Corniche.Post lunch, our journey takes us to El Jadida, where we will explore its enchanting citadel, Mazagan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by the Portuguese in the early 16th century. Walking through its picturesque streets reveals the lasting Portuguese influence, notably in the Manueline-style Church of the Assumption. Though the historic 16th-century cistern is currently undergoing restoration, the area itself promises notable sights. Our adventures continue as we travel to Safi, arriving by late afternoon. Dinner will be provided upon our arrival.
Day 3 - Safi - Essaouira - Agadir
Today, we explore the vibrant city of Safi, famed for its exquisite ceramics prized across Morocco for their exceptional quality and vivid colours. We start by visiting the Castle of the Sea and its formidable fortress walls, before meandering through the delightful Medina. The tour also takes us to the Hill of the Potters, where a multitude of shops display their ceramic wares. Later, we head to Essaouira, whose walled Medina, facing the Atlantic Ocean, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This artistically inspiring city is beautifully preserved, making it a favoured destination among creators. Youll have leisure time to explore the narrow streets, admire the whitewashed houses, and feel the power of the waves against the city's robust walls ideal spots for a memorable lunch.After your afternoon in Essaouira, we journey further along the scenic Atlantic coastline, marvelling at the breathtaking views. We briefly stop in Taghazout, a quaint town renowned for its fishing industry and popularity with surfers. Eventually, we make our way to Agadir, where we arrive in the evening. Dinner is included as we settle into this lively coastal city.
Day 4 - Agadir - Marrakech
Begin your day in Agadir, the most popular beach destination in Morocco, where you have the morning free to unwind. Take your time to soak up the sun on one of Agadir's expansive beaches, wander along the picturesque seafront, or explore the local shops and retail areas for unique finds. Following lunch, we will set off along a scenic route through the stunning Atlas Mountains towards the city of Marrakech. Upon arrival at your hotel, immerse yourself in a quintessential Moroccan experience with a traditional Kalesa ride, which will guide you to the vibrant heart of the city, Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. Known for its buzzing and ceaseless energy, this square is a feast for the senses. Dinner is included this evening, providing a taste of local flavours.
Day 5 - Marrakech
Today, we immerse ourselves in the enchanting city of Marrakech, a place that shares its name with Morocco itself. Our tour begins as we navigate the city's robust walls, exploring the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa square, a hive of activity and culture. We continue into the timeless Medina, admiring the grandeur of the Koutoubia Mosque and the intricate beauty of the Bahia Palace, with entrance tickets included in our exploration. Following this cultural journey, you'll enjoy an included lunch, after which you can unwind by the hotel's pool or gardens, or perhaps delve deeper into Marrakech's famed souks for some shopping. As the evening approaches, consider joining the optional Fantasy Party for an added experience, but rest assured, the day itself promises a wealth of memories to cherish.
Day 6 - Marrakech - Ouzoud Falls - Fez
Today, we set off from Marrakech for an exciting journey to the majestic Ouzoud Falls, the tallest waterfalls in Northern Africa, plunging 110 metres. Situated in the picturesque Middle Atlas mountains, Ouzoud offers a serene escape with its breathtaking gorges. We'll enjoy a leisurely boat trip, followed by lunch at a restaurant featuring unparalleled views of this natural wonderboth experiences are included. Keep an eye out for the resident macaques, adding a playful touch to the adventure. Our journey then continues through the Southern Atlas towards Fez, where we'll pause to admire panoramic views from the Marinid tombs, if time and sunset allow. Upon arrival in Fez, dinner will be provided, rounding off a day of remarkable scenery and cultural insight.
Day 7 - Fez - Tangier
Our day in Fez begins with a captivating tour, where we'll enter through the majestic Bronze Gates of the Royal Palace. You'll experience the vibrant Jewish quarter and explore the bustling souks, rich with the aromas and colours of traditional Moroccan life. We then visit the Tanners Quarter, where ancient methods of leather production come to life. Fez, the cultural heart of Morocco, boasts a mesmerizing Medina, famed for preserving its authentic Arab ambience. We'll wrap up our morning with a delightful lunch at a historic palace within the Medina. In the afternoon, we journey north on a modern highway, admiring the changing landscapes as we head towards Tangier. By evening, we'll arrive in Tangier, where dinner will be included, providing a fitting end to a day filled with cultural discoveries.
Day 8 - Tangier - Seville
Today, enjoy some leisure time in Tangier perhaps indulge in some last-minute shopping before we take a ferry back to Spain. Please note, you'll need to carry your own luggage on the ferry, as the bus will not accompany us on board. We will arrive in either Algeciras or Tarifa and then proceed to Seville, reaching your destination by evening. Dinner will be provided upon arrival.
Day 9 - Seville
On our ninth day, we will set off on a guided exploration of Seville. You will witness the splendour of the famous cathedral, dominated by its iconic Giralda tower, as well as the serene banks of the Guadalquivir River. We'll wander through the vibrant neighbourhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana, each bursting with character and charm. Following the tour, take pleasure in a relaxing boat journey down the Guadalquivir River, where you'll be treated to panoramic views of this captivating city. In the evening, youll have the option to experience the passion and rhythm of a flamenco tablao, a quintessential element of Andalusian culture.
Day 10 - Seville - Merida - Evora - Lisbon
We will depart Seville and journey through the serene landscapes of rolling hills and expansive pastures as we make our way towards Extremadura. Our first stop is Mrida, where you'll enjoy entry to its renowned Archaeological Ensemble, featuring a beautifully preserved Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre a designated World Heritage Site. You will have time to relish lunch and wander through Mrida's vibrant pedestrianised historic centre, a delightful area packed with restaurants and local character.Following this, we will cross into Portugal and pause in vora, another World Heritage Site. This city is celebrated for its charming whitewashed streets, Renaissance palaces, and impressive cathedral. Our day concludes as we arrive in Lisbon in the evening.
Day 11 - Lisbon
Today, we will delve into the captivating sights of Lisbon. Our morning is dedicated to a guided tour of this picturesque city, famously known as the 'Portuguese capital of seven hills.' You will revel in the narrow lanes, beautifully adorned with iconic tiles, and experience the unique atmosphere known as "saudade," enhanced by the stunning Atlantic light. Our exploration includes a visit to the historic Belem area, renowned for being the departure point for the 15th-century Portuguese explorers who set out to conquer the oceans. The afternoon is yours to enjoy as you wish. You might choose to wander through the Bairro Alto district and take in the views from its renowned viewpoint. Alternatively, consider a visit to the charming towns of Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril, which offer captivating cultural and historical experiences. In the evening, you will have the chance to soak up the atmosphere of the lively Restauradores Square, home to a variety of bars and cafes, before heading back to our hotel.
Day 12 - Lisbon
Following breakfast, our adventure concludes, leaving you with cherished memories of your journey. Feel free to explore any remaining sights in Lisbon or simply relax and reflect on your experiences before making your own arrangements for onward travel.
