Itinerary
Day 1 - Chihuahua
On arrival at Chihuahua airport, we transfer you to the colonial city of Chihuahua where you will check in to your hotel. Later in the afternoon, we take a guided tour of the city, visiting key sites including the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Pancho Villa Museum and Quinta Gameros. You will spend the night in Chihuahua.
Day 2 - Chihuahua - Cuauhtemoc - Creel
After an early breakfast, we drive from Chihuahua to Creel, stopping en route in Cuauhtemoc to visit the Mennonite Museum, which details the history of the Mennonite communities in Chihuahua. Upon arrival in Creel, you will check in to your hotel before joining a guided tour of the Valley of the Monks, known for its striking rock formations. We then visit Lake Arareco, whose snowy surroundings evoke Scandinavian landscapes, followed by the historic Mission of San Ignacio. The day concludes with a visit to a Tarahumara cave, where the indigenous people continue to live in their traditional way. Overnight in Creel.
Day 3 - Creel - Divisadero - El Divisadero
After breakfast, we transfer from Creel to Divisadero, stopping en route at Copper Canyon for a guided walk to the Divisadero viewpoint. You will have the chance to explore a local market showcasing handicrafts and souvenirs made by the Rarmuri people. Next, we drive to Barrancas del Cobre National Park, where you can choose to take part in a range of adventure activitiessuch as the cable car, zip rider, Via Ferrata, and a seven-station zip lineavailable at your own expense. We then continue to your hotel in Divisadero, where lunch and dinner are included. You will stay overnight in Divisadero.
Day 4 - El fuerte
After breakfast, we transfer you to Divisadero train station to board the Chepe Express bound for El Fuerte. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisureyou might like to explore the town on foot, visiting the central square, City Hall, local museum, and the riverside boardwalk overlooking the El Fuerte River. Overnight in El Fuerte.
Day 5 - El fuerte - Los mochis
After breakfast, enjoy some free time to explore the charming streets of El Fuerte at your own pace. You might choose to take a relaxing raft ride along the river or visit the nearby indigenous community of Capomos to gain insight into the traditions of the Yoreme-Mayo people. When its time, we will transfer you from your hotel to Los Mochis airport for your onward journey.
