Day 1 - Los mochis - El fuerte
Upon arrival at Los Mochis airport, we transfer you to the colonial city of El Fuerte. After checking in to your hotel, prepare for a late afternoon guided tour of the town. We visit the main square, the municipal palace, the local museum and the boardwalk overlooking the El Fuerte river. You will spend the night in El Fuerte.
Day 2 - El Divisadero
After breakfast, we transfer you to El Fuerte train station to board the Chepe Express heading to Divisadero. Upon arrival, we take you to your hotel where you can settle in before the afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. You might like to explore the canyons edge on a walk or visit the local Divisadero market to browse regional crafts and produce. Overnight accommodation is in Divisadero.
Day 3 - Creel
After breakfast, we take a guided walk to the Divisadero viewpoint, La Piedra Volada, offering striking views of the canyon. We then visit the local market, where you can browse handicrafts and souvenirs made by the Rarmuri people. Next, we drive to Barrancas del Cobre National Park for lunch before continuing to Creel. Upon arrival, we check in to your hotel, leaving the afternoon free for you to explore the main square or visit the towns museum at your leisure. Overnight in Creel.
Day 4 - Creel - Chihuahua
After an early breakfast, we drive to Chihuahua, stopping en route at the Valley of the Monks to admire its remarkable rock formations. We continue to Lake Arareco, whose snowy surroundings evoke Scandinavian landscapes, before visiting the historic Mission of San Ignacio. Next, we explore a Tarahumara cave where indigenous people continue to live traditionally. We then visit the Mennonite Museum, which details the history of the Mennonite communities in Chihuahua. Finally, we arrive in Chihuahua city and check in to your hotel for the night.
Day 5 - Chihuahua
After breakfast, we take a guided walking tour of Chihuahua city. You will visit key landmarks including the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Pancho Villa Museum and Quinta Gameros. Following the tour, we transfer you to Chihuahua airport for your onward flight.
