Itinerary
Day 1 - Riga
Upon arrival at Riga airport, you will be met and transferred to our centrally located hotel. This evening join the welcome meeting in the hotel lobby, at around 7pm, with champagne-cocktail or juice.
Day 2 - Tour of Riga's Old Town
Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals, established by the German bishop Albert in 1201, the city showcases a diverse array of architectural styles. Take in the highlights of the Old Town on a walking tour this morning, taking in Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter's Church and more. With an included visit to the Riga History and Navigation Museum. Our tour comes to an end at the Old Town Hall Square, where we can immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the traditional Christmas Market and shop for gifts.
The afternoon is free to spend at leisure, or you have the opportunity to join an optional tour of the Riga Art Nouveau district and visit to the Art Nouveau Museum (book and pay locally). This evening we attend a performance at the Latvian National Opera house or the European Christmas Festival.
Day 3 - Free day in Riga
Day 3 is free to spend at leisure, stroll around the city and see the Gothic spires that dominate Riga. Alternatively, choose from various optional excursions available throughout the day. This morning there is an optional excursion to Riga Motor Museum which showcases a range of antique vehicles.
The afternoon offers an opportunity to join an optional guided shopping tour taking in the design stores, art galleries and fashion boutiques of the Old Town. In the evening an optional farewell dinner is on offer. All optional activities can be booked and paid locally.
Day 4 - Farewell to Riga
Our magical Christmas getaway comes to an end today. Check out and included transfer to the Riga Airport.
