Day 1 - Welcome to Sorrento!
You will most likely arrive in Italy at Naples International Airport. From here, make your way to our hotel in Sorrento. After checking in, the remainder of the day is yours to relax and unwind. You may wish to explore the charming streets of Sorrento, enjoy the stunning views over the Bay of Naples, or simply relax at the hotel. In the evening, we will come together for a delicious welcome dinner with our fellow travellers at the hotel.
Please Note: The order of some tours and experiences on this trip may vary, without affecting the overall itinerary.
Tour Style: On this tour you will stay in the same hotel throughout, with included excursions and free time to spend at leisure. On the excursions the maximum group size is 45. A tour leader is on hand at the hotel to provide information and assistance throughout your stay.
Day 2 - Pompeii & Sorrento Walking Tour
Sorrento - Pompeii - Sorrento. Today we’ll embark on a full-day excursion to explore the historic Roman ruins of Pompeii and beautiful Sorrento. This morning, we’ll join our guide for a visit to the remarkable Pompeii. We’ll enjoy a guided tour of the Pompeii Excavations (entrance included), where time was frozen in 79AD when the town was buried under volcanic ash from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
In the afternoon, our guide will lead us on a walking tour of Sorrento’s historic centre, where we’ll uncover the town’s many attractions.
Day 3 - Sorrento at Leisure
Today, take the opportunity to relax, unwind, and explore more of the beautiful surroundings at your own pace. Your tour leader will be happy to offer suggestions for activities and places to visit in the area.
Day 4 - Capri Island Excursion
Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento. After an early breakfast, we will depart from our hotel and make our way to Sorrento's port, where we’ll board a hydrofoil to the stunning island of Capri, renowned for its beauty and crystal-clear waters. We’ll enjoy a leisurely stroll through Capri town, visit the iconic Augustus Gardens, and take in the breathtaking views. You’ll have plenty of free time to relax with a leisurely lunch, swim in the sea, or visit the famous Blue Grotto, before we return to our hotel.
Day 5 - Sorrento at Leisure
Today after breakfast, you will enjoy a full day at your leisure to relax, unwind, and explore more of the Sorrento Peninsula. Your tour leader will be available to offer suggestions for activities based on your interests.
Day 6 - Amalfi Coast Adventure
Sorrento - Positano - Amalfi - Sorrento. We’ll embark on a full-day excursion along the magnificent Amalfi coastline, renowned worldwide for its breathtaking scenery and pastel-coloured houses perched above the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. We’ll travel by boat to the stunning town of Positano, where you can enjoy some free time to explore this famous village. Next, we’ll continue to the charming town of Amalfi, where we can visit the Cloister of Paradise. Following our visit, we’ll return to Sorrento by boat before transferring back to our hotel.
Day 7 - Sorrento at Leisure
Today, you have a full free day to relax and soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere of the beautiful Sorrento Peninsula. You can pick up some local souvenirs, savour a delicious gelato, or enjoy a leisurely lunch on a shady terrace while taking in the views over the Bay of Naples.
Day 8 - Arrivederci Sorrento
Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel before checking out. We wish you a safe onwards journey!
