Day 1 - Rome
Arrive in the historic city of Rome, where we will be ready to welcome you and provide a smooth transfer to your hotel. Following your check-in, our guide will meet you to share essential information for your stay. Additional details can also be found on the information board at the hotel reception. In the evening, we'll introduce you to Rome's vibrant atmosphere with a visit to Via Cavour. This bustling street offers an excellent array of dining options, from authentic Italian flavours to Indian, Chinese, and other international cuisines. Take this opportunity to indulge your culinary curiosity. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Rome
We begin our day in Rome with a captivating three-hour panoramic tour, seamlessly blending a guided bus ride with a walk through historic Imperial Rome. Your local guide will introduce you to the grandeur of the Arch of Constantine, the awe-inspiring exterior of the Colosseum, and the remarkable Imperial Forums once the political heart of the ancient world. As we journey by bus, you'll catch glimpses of some of Rome's most iconic landmarks, including the Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and the exterior of Castel Sant'Angelo.Our tour concludes in Vatican City around 11:00 a.m. This independent state, nestled within the heart of Rome, serves as a spiritual centre for the Catholic Church. After the morning tour, take the opportunity to join an optional excursion to delve deeper into the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, a treasure trove of art and history. Your afternoon is free to explore the Eternal City at your leisure.As evening descends, we'll whisk you away to the lively Trastevere district, celebrated for its charming restaurants and vibrant atmosphere. Here, you can savour authentic Roman cuisine before we return to the hotel at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Day 3 - Rome - Florence
On the third day, well depart from Rome, heading northwards and taking in the splendid Italian countryside en route. Upon our arrival in Florence, our first stop will be at Piazzale Michelangelo, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Following this, we'll stroll towards the historic city centre. After you've had some time to enjoy lunch, we will embark on a guided walking tour with a local expert, discovering landmarks such as the iconic Ponte Vecchio, the majestic Duomo, and the lively Piazza della Signoria. Often described as an open-air museum, Florence boasts an array of stunning sights. Later, you'll have the afternoon to explore at your own pace. In the evening, Florence offers a variety of dining options with numerous restaurants serving both local and international cuisines.
Day 4 - Florence - Venice
Today, we'll journey through the breathtaking Apennine mountains on our way to Venice. Upon arrival, we'll take a boat across the Giudecca Canal to the enchanting Island of Venice. Accompanied by a local guide, we will explore the magnificent St. Marks Square. Next, we will visit the renowned Murano Glass Factory, offering a fascinating glimpse into the artistry behind this centuries-old Venetian craft. You'll have some leisure time to discover the island independently, immersing yourself in its unique charm. In the evening, we will settle into accommodations in the Mestre district.
Day 5 - Venice - Innsbruck - Salzburg
As we depart from Venice, we venture into Austria, setting our sights on the vibrant city of Innsbruck. Upon arrival, youll have time to meander through the historic city centre, perfect for a leisurely lunch amidst the charming backdrop of the Austrian Tyrolean capital. Following this, well traverse the picturesque mountain roads en route to Kitzbhel. This delightful village, renowned as a premier ski resort, boasts snowy landscapes for much of the yearperfect for you to explore at your own pace. Our journey continues as we make our way to Salzburg, arriving by days end. Note: Should our group be small, travel from Venice to Innsbruck might be by train.
Day 6 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Today, we delve deeper into the wonders of Austria, starting with a morning tour of Salzburg, renowned as the birthplace of Mozart. This city, adorned with beautiful Renaissance and Baroque architecture, lies beneath the imposing silhouette of its majestic castle. Our next stop is St. Wolfgang, a site of significance for pilgrims and imbued with spiritual charm. From there, we journey through the picturesque landscapes of lakes and mountains until we reach Traunkirchen, nestled beside the stunning Lake Traunsee. Here, we'll embark on a relaxing cruise, offering views of four elegant castles that grace the lake's edge. Our day concludes in Vienna, where we arrive in the evening, allowing you to unwind and begin exploring this grand city at your leisure.
Day 7 - Vienna
Today, let's discover the enchanting city of Vienna with a guided panoramic tour. We will explore its grand avenues, magnificent palaces, and expansive parks alongside the vibrant city centre. In the afternoon, you're free to delve into Vienna's charms at your own pace. As evening falls, we will transfer you to the Grinzing district once a traditional wine-producing village, which is now part of the city. Known for its atmospheric taverns, it's the perfect spot for you to enjoy a leisurely dinner experience.
Day 8 - Vienna - Budapest
After about a three-hour journey, we arrive in Budapest, Hungary's vibrant capital. Our first stop takes us to Vci utca, a bustling area where you can enjoy lunch at your leisure. Following this, we invite you on a delightful boat trip along the Danube River, providing spectacular views as we glide between the historic Buda and the modern Pest. Afterwards, we embark on a panoramic tour of this enchanting city, often referred to as the "Queen of the Danube." You'll have some free time to explore further. In the evening, there's an optional opportunity to enjoy a traditional Magyar show with dinner.
Day 9 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
We will set off from Budapest early in the morning, making our way to Bratislava, the picturesque capital of Slovakia nestled along the Danube River. Here, youll have time to explore the city's charming historic centre and enjoy a leisurely lunch. We will then continue our journey into the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague by evening. A transfer will be provided to the Old Town Square, the heart of the city, which offers a vibrant setting and a perfect introduction to Pragues rich cultural tapestry. You have the option to dine at one of the numerous restaurants, which serve a variety of international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian. Later, we will return to the hotel to conclude our day.
Day 10 - Prague
Today, we immerse ourselves in Prague, a true Baroque treasure of Europe. Our day begins with a panoramic tour led by an expert local guide, showcasing the city's most impressive landmarks. A highlight of the tour is a visit to Prague Castle, with admission included, allowing us to explore its historical grandeur. Following this, we will enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the Vltava River, providing a unique perspective of this enchanting city. The afternoon is yours to explore Prague at your leisure, offering an opportunity to discover its vibrant neighbourhoods and charming streets at your own pace.
Day 11 - Prague - Pilsen - Rothenburg - Frankfurt
Today, we leave Prague and make our way to Pilsen in western Bohemia. Known for its traditional beer, Pilsen offers a delightful historic centre to explore, featuring the Old Town Square, a striking cathedral, the Plague Column, and a Renaissance town hall. After soaking up the ambiance of this charming city, well continue our journey into Germany, following part of the renowned Romantic Road. Our next stop is Rothenburg, a picturesque town boasting enchanting medieval streets, often hailed as one of Germany's prettiest villages. As the day concludes, we travel onwards to Frankfurt, the financial powerhouse of Germany. Upon arrival in the evening, youll have free time to wander the historic city centre, where a variety of dining options await, from Indian and Asian to Italian and other international cuisines.
Day 12 - Frankfurt
