Day 1 - Rome
Upon your arrival in Rome, we will greet you and arrange your transfer to the hotel. Later on, our guide will meet you to provide all the essential details of your stay. You can also find helpful information on the hotels reception noticeboard. In the evening, we will escort you to Via Cavour, the perfect introduction to the vibrant city of Rome. This lively area offers a diverse range of restaurants, serving Italian, Indian, Chinese, and other international cuisines, giving you an excellent opportunity to enjoy a culinary experience of your choice. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Rome
Our second day in Rome begins with an engaging three-hour panoramic tour of this ancient city, complete with a knowledgeable local guide. Our journey combines a comfortable bus ride and a walking tour of Imperial Rome. We'll marvel at the Arch of Constantine and take in the grandeur of the Colosseum from outside. Strolling through the Imperial Forums, you'll experience the centre of ancient Roman political life. As our bus continues the tour, we'll glimpse more iconic sights, including the Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and the imposing Castel Sant'Angelo.The morning tour concludes in Vatican City around 11:00 a.m. Here, the heart of Catholicism beckons. For those interested, our guide will offer an optional excursion to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, allowing you to delve deeper into the artistic and spiritual treasures housed within these historic walls. The afternoon presents an opportunity to explore Rome at your own pace, indulging in its myriad attractions.In the evening, we include a transfer to the vibrant Trastevere district. This area is rich with inviting restaurants and a lively atmosphere, assuring you of a delightful dining experience. We'll return to our hotel around 8:30 p.m., ending a day filled with remarkable sights and meaningful experiences.
Day 3 - Rome - Florence
Today, we depart from Rome and journey northwards, enjoying the picturesque landscapes along the way. Upon arrival in Florence, our first stop is the magnificent Piazzale Michelangelo, which offers stunning panoramic views of the city. We then proceed to the historic centre, where you'll have some time to enjoy lunch before starting a guided walking tour with a local expert. During the tour, we explore the remarkable city with visits to prominent landmarks, including the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. Known as an open-air museum, Florence's rich history and art are bound to captivate you. After the tour, youll have free time to wander and discover the city's charm at your leisure. The evening presents an array of dining options, with numerous restaurants in the area offering diverse international cuisines.
Day 4 - Florence - Venice
Today, we will journey from Florence to Venice, taking in the breathtaking mountain vistas as we cross the Apennines. Upon reaching Venice, we'll enjoy a boat ride across the Giudecca Canal, arriving at the captivating Island of Venice. With the insight of a local guide, we'll explore the iconic St. Mark's Square. Our visit will also take us to the renowned Murano Glass Factory, where you'll witness the intricate craft of glassmaking. After this cultural immersion, you'll have some free time to discover Venice at your own pace. Your accommodation will be in the nearby Mestre district, allowing for a convenient stay.
Day 5 - Venice - Innsbruck - Zurich
We will leave the enchanting canals of Venice behind and head towards Austria. Upon reaching Innsbruck, you'll have the opportunity to explore the historic heart of this charming city and savour a leisurely lunch. Afterwards, we'll continue our journey through the breathtaking Tyrolean landscapes, entering Switzerland as we make our way to Zurich for the evening. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the alpine vistas as we travel through these picturesque regions.
Day 6 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today's adventure promises breathtaking alpine landscapes as we journey through the stunning Interlaken region, renowned for its magnificent mountains and crystal-clear lakes. Our first stop is Grindelwald, where we'll pause for a coffee before ascending the mountain via cable car. At the top, a meandering path leads us to a suspended bridge, offering exhilarating views of the surrounding glaciers for those daring enough to cross. We'll enjoy lunch on the mountain, which is included, before descending.Our next destination is Lucerne, a city noted for its beauty and charm. Here, you'll have time to explore its picturesque streets and take in the delightful blend of historical and contemporary architecture. We'll conclude our day with a return to Zurich.Additionally, for those interested, a full-day optional excursion is available. After your free time in Lucerne, you can join an adventure to the summit of Mount Titlis via a rotating cable car. At over 3,000 metres above sea level, this alpine peak offers breathtaking vistas of the glacier and the majestic Alps.
Day 7 - Zurich - Strasbourg - Paris
We leave Zurich behind and head towards the picturesque Alsace region in France. Our destination is Strasbourg, the charming capital of Alsace, known for its unique blend of French and German culture. Here, you'll have the opportunity to wander its cobbled streets and experience its distinctive atmosphere. After some time to explore, we continue our journey to the enchanting city of Paris, arriving in the evening.
Day 8 - Paris
We begin our day with a visit to the majestic Palace of Versailles. Although admission isn't included, you'll have the opportunity to explore its stunning gardens and opulent architecture. Upon returning to Paris, we'll head to Montmartre, a delightful bohemian neighbourhood celebrated for its vibrant art scene and lively cabarets. To truly capture the essence of the city, join us on a guided panoramic tour highlighting Paris's grand avenues and iconic landmarks. We'll then return to the hotel, where you can prepare for an optional evening variety show if you wish.
Day 9 - Paris
We'll begin our day in the heart of Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower. You'll have the opportunity to ascend to the second floor of this renowned iron structure, with your tickets included in the itinerary. After taking in the breathtaking views, we'll embark on a relaxing boat cruise along the Seine, lasting approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. This serene journey offers a unique perspective of the city's charming riverside landmarks. In the afternoon, you'll have the freedom to explore Paris at your own pace. Please note that the transfer back to the hotel is not provided. Should there be any delays in accessing the Eiffel Tower, we may adjust the schedule to ensure your convenience, possibly revisiting the site later in the day or over the weekend.
Day 10 - Paris
After enjoying breakfast on our final day in Paris, our journey will draw to a close. You will depart with a collection of wonderful memories to cherish from your travels.
