Day 1 - Rome
Welcome to Rome! Upon your arrival, we will be there to transfer you to your hotel. Later, our guide will meet you to provide all the essential information about your stay. You can also find details on the information sign in the hotel reception area. In the evening, we will take you to Via Cavour, a vibrant area perfect for your first taste of Rome. Here, you will discover a variety of restaurants offering Italian, Indian, Chinese, and international cuisine, all set against the backdrop of this historic city. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Rome
Begin your day in Rome with a captivating three-hour guided tour of the Eternal City. We will embark on a journey through Imperial Rome, blending a leisurely walk with a scenic bus ride to uncover one of the most pivotal cities in Western history. Our tour of Rome's iconic landmarks will include the towering Arch of Constantine, the commanding exterior of the Colosseum, and the historic Imperial Forums. We'll also take in the expansive Circus Maximus and the ancient Baths of Caracalla, alongside the majestic Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and the formidable Castel Sant'Angelo. The tour concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m. Here, our guide will extend an invitation to further explore the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel on an optional tour. As the day winds down, we will whisk you away to the lively Trastevere neighbourhood. Renowned for its charming restaurants and vibrant atmosphere, it's the perfect place to soak up the Roman ambiance before we return to the hotel at approximately 8:30 p.m. Enjoy the rest of your evening at leisure in this enchanting city.
Day 3 - Rome - Florence
Today, we depart from Rome and make our way north, enjoying the scenic landscapes en route. Upon arriving in Florence, we'll head straight to the picturesque Piazzale Michelangelo, offering stunning panoramic views of the city. Following this, we'll wander into Florence's historic centre. After lunch, a local expert will guide us through the city's iconic landmarks, including the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and the vibrant Piazza della Signoria, highlighting Florence as an open-air museum. You'll have the afternoon to continue exploring at your own pace. As evening approaches, you'll find numerous dining options in the area, with restaurants serving a variety of international cuisines, ready to cater to every taste.
Day 4 - Florence - Venice
Today, we journey through the captivating mountain scenery of the Apennines as we make our way to Venice. Upon arrival, we'll embark on a scenic boat ride across the Giudecca Canal to the enchanting Island of Venice. Here, a local guide will lead us through the famous St. Mark's Square, where you can absorb the vibrant atmosphere of this iconic location. Our exploration continues with a visit to the Murano Glass Factory, where you'll witness the remarkable craftsmanship that has defined this ancient art for centuries. Following the tour, you'll have some free time to discover the area's charm at your own pace before we head to our accommodation in the Mestre district.
Day 5 - Venice - Innsbruck - Salzburg
We will leave Venice behind and journey to Austria. Our first stop is Innsbruck, where you'll have time to wander through the historic city centre and savour lunch in the charming Austrian Tyrolean capital. Afterwards, we will continue our adventure along scenic mountain roads leading us to Kitzbhel. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore this enchanting village, renowned as a ski resort where snow is present for much of the year. We then proceed to the enchanting city of Salzburg, arriving in the late afternoon. Note that if the group size is small, we may opt to take a train from Venice to Innsbruck.
Day 6 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
On the sixth day of our journey, we delve deeper into the heart of Austria. In the morning, we set out to explore Salzburg, the charming city that was the birthplace of Mozart. With its stunning Renaissance and Baroque architecture, the city centre lies beneath the imposing castle, offering a picturesque backdrop to our exploration. Later, we traverse the scenic lakes and mountains, heading towards St. Wolfgang, a revered pilgrimage destination in Austria. Our next stop is Traunkirchen, nestled beside the serene Traunsee Lake. Here, we embark on a delightful cruise, providing views of four magnificent lakeside castles, before disembarking in Gmunden. As the day comes to a close, we continue our journey to Vienna, where we arrive in the evening.
Day 7 - Vienna
Today, we'll uncover the charm of Vienna with a panoramic tour guided by a local expert. We'll traverse the city's grand boulevards, admire its opulent palaces, and enjoy the lush parks alongside the energetic atmosphere of the city centre. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore as you wishperhaps delve into the rich cultural scene or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the vibrant streets. In the evening, we include a transfer to the quaint district of Grinzing, once a traditional wine village now part of Vienna. Here, you'll have the freedom to dine at one of the area's local taverns, where you can experience the authentic flavours of this historical neighbourhood.
Day 8 - Vienna - Budapest
Upon arrival in Budapest, after approximately three hours of travel, we will first explore the vibrant district of Vci utca, where you'll have the chance to savour a leisurely lunch. Our Hungarian adventure then begins with a captivating boat trip on the Danube River, offering spectacular views of the historic Buda and cosmopolitan Pest on opposite banks. After the cruise, enjoy a panoramic tour of Budapest, often called the "Queen of the Danube," showcasing its iconic sights. You'll then have some free time to further explore the city at your own pace. In the evening, you may opt to attend a traditional Magyar show, complete with a delicious dinner.
Day 9 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
We depart from Budapest early, setting off towards Bratislava, the captivating capital of Slovakia nestled along the Danube River. Upon arrival, you'll have time to wander through its delightful historic centre and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Our journey then continues into the Czech Republic, where we will arrive in Prague by evening. To round off the day, we'll transfer you to the Old Town Square, a lively hub perfect for your first taste of Prague. Here, you'll find a range of dining options featuring Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian cuisines. After experiencing the vibrant atmosphere at your own pace, we'll return to the hotel.
Day 10 - Prague
Today, we discover the captivating city of Prague, often referred to as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our day begins with an insightful panoramic tour, guided by a local expert who will introduce us to the citys most remarkable monuments. A highlight of the morning is a visit to the iconic Prague Castle, with admission included for an enriching experience. Following the castle, well enjoy a leisurely boat ride along the Vltava Riveralso includedoffering unique views of the cityscape. The afternoon is yours to explore Prague at your own pace, giving you an opportunity to delve deeper into its historic charm and vibrant culture.
