Itinerary
Day 1 - Train to Coimbatore
Chennai - Coimbatore. This afternoon we are transferred to the train station and board the overnight sleeper train from Chennai to Coimbatore (1st class air-conditioned sleeper).
Day 2 - Mettupalayam
Coimbatore - Mettupalayam. We arrive into Coimbatore this morning and drive to Mettupalayam where we check into our hotel. The rest of today is at your leisure to explore the local area or to simply relax.
Day 3 - Enjoy exhilarating mountain vistas
Mettupalayam - Ooty. Early morning transfer to Mettupalayam Railway Station for the Nilgiri Blue Mountains railway toy train to Ooty. At a maximum speed of 33km/hour, this ‘toy train’ treks across plains, plantation and forest clad hills. The 16 tunnels and tall girder bridges on the way, along with the breathtaking views make this toy train journey to Ooty something not to be missed! Beginning at Mettupalayam, you’ll cover 46kms in 4 hours enjoying the view along the way. The train is unusual in the fact that the engine pushes its carriages rather than pulls them along.
Day 4 - Free day to independently explore
There is no sightseeing included during our stay in Ooty, but the vehicle and driver remain at your disposal for sightseeing of any nearby places.
Day 5 - Ooty to Chennai
Ooty - Coimbatore - Chennai. Drive to Coimbatore for your flight to Chennai. Upon arrival in Chennai, transfer to your hotel or the airport for your onward flight.

Prices & Dates
'Twin/Double' prices are per person when there are 2 people on the same booking sharing a room. 'Single' prices are applicable to anyone wanting the privacy of their own room, based on a travelling party of at least 2 adults. If travelling solo, an additional ‘1-person’ supplement will apply, contact us for details.
Price reductions are available when there are 4 or more persons travelling in your tour party, since fixed costs like transportation and guiding are shared across the group.
