Day 1 - Delhi
Welcome to India! Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Check-in and spend the rest of the day at leisure, adjusting to the local time and atmosphere.
Day 2 - Delhi Sightseeing
Delhi - Agra. Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before checking out and embarking on a half-day tour of Old and New Delhi. Highlights of your tour include Jama Masjid mosque, and you will also take a rickshaw ride around the bustling streets of Chandni Chowk bazaar. Visit the beautiful Sikh temple of Gurudwara Bangla Sahib and take in some of the modern symbols of Indian democracy, including Delhi's government buildings and the India Gate monument, a war memorial dedicated to the 70,000 fallen Indian soldiers who gave their lives during the First World War. Your tour ends with a visit to Humayun's Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is thought to have inspired the design of the Taj Mahal.
After your tour of Delhi, it is time to leave the capital. You will make the 4-hour drive to your hotel in Agra, where the evening is at leisure.
Day 3 - The Taj Mahal & Agra Sightseeing
This morning promises to be a memorable one, as you pay a visit to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal. Constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century as a tribute to his beloved wife, this iconic white marble mausoleum is an unparalleled symbol of love and devotion, standing as one of the most extraordinary architectural masterpieces in the world. Be sure to capture this once-in-a-lifetime experience with plenty of photos!
Later, you will explore UNESCO-listed Agra Fort, known for its striking red sandstone. The rest of the day is at leisure in Agra.
Day 4 - Agra to Ranthambore
Agra - Ranthambore National Park. After breakfast and check out, you will be transferred to Ranthambore National Park, a 6-hour drive away. Ranthambore is a protected tiger reserve, and one of the best places in India to spot the country's top predator in the wild. On arrival at Ranthambore, you can spend the afternoon unwinding and preparing for tomorrow's safari adventures.
Day 5 - Ranthambore National Park
Today you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Ranthambore, in the hope of spotting a Bengal tiger or two. For a large orange cat, tigers blend into their surroundings seamlessly, so keep your eyes peeled! As well as tigers, Ranthambore is home to leopards, hyenas, sambar deer, chital, jackals, jungle cats, caracals, sloth bears and wild boar. Your safaris will take place in a shared jeep or canter in different areas of the park, and you will be accompanied by an expert safari guide who will be able to point out the wildlife you see.
Day 6 - Ranthambore to Jaipur
Ranthambore National Park - Jaipur. You have one final chance to see wild tigers in the morning, with another included game drive into the wilds of Ranthambore. Leaving the park, you will then be transferred to Jaipur, a journey of around 4 hours. On arrival at your hotel in the Pink City, the evening is at leisure.
Day 7 - Jaipur Sightseeing
Today you will enjoy a guided sightseeing tour in the Pink City, so named because the Maharaja of Jaipur commanded that many of the buildings in the city be painted pink to welcome the visit of Britain's Prince Albert in 1876.
Your sightseeing begins at lofty Amber Fort, with its four different levels, each with its own courtyard. Visit the beautiful City Palace, the Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory, then head to Hawa Mahal. This is one of Jaipur's most famous buildings, and you can admire it from the outside. It's the second most photographed attraction in India, after the Taj Mahal. Your evening is spent in Jaipur.
Day 8 - Return to Delhi
Jaipur - Delhi. Leaving Jaipur after breakfast, you will be transferred back to the Indian capital, a drive of around 5 hours. On arrival, the afternoon is at leisure. Head out to do some last minute souvenir shopping, tick off any final sights, or relax in the hotel.
Day 9 - Delhi
Your tour comes to an end after breakfast and hotel check out today. There is an included transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
