Classic India & Tigers
Uncover the soul of North India on a journey that blends iconic sights with offbeat moments. We dive into the chaos and charm of Delhi, tracing the footsteps of emperors and revolutionaries. In Agra, the ethereal beauty of the Taj Mahal stuns at sunrise, while Jaipur’s faded grandeur and colourful bazaars pull us into royal Rajasthan. Then it’s into the wild, where Ranthambore’s forests echo with birdsong and the possibility of a tiger sighting keeps us on edge.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Delhi
Arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport, where a local representative welcomes you and arranges your transfer to the hotel. After checking in, settle in and enjoy some downtime.
The rest of the day is free—whether you choose to relax at the hotel or take a short stroll to explore the nearby markets, it’s the perfect start to our Indian adventure.
Day 2 - Delhi to Agra
Delhi - Agra. This morning we dive into the vibrant energy of Delhi with a guided city tour. We visit Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, and view the impressive Red Fort from the outside. At Raj Ghat, we pause to reflect at the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, then continue to Qutub Minar, a stunning UNESCO-listed minaret that blends Indo-Islamic design.
As we drive past India Gate, Parliament House, and Rashtrapati Bhavan, we get a feel for the capital's blend of historic and colonial grandeur. After lunch (own expense), we set off on a scenic four-hour drive to Agra. On arrival, we check into our hotel and relax for the evening.
Day 3 - Taj Mahal
Agra - Jaipur. We rise early to witness the Taj Mahal bathed in morning light—a moment that truly lives up to the legend. After admiring its intricate marble artistry, we explore Agra Fort, another UNESCO site and an impressive red sandstone fortress that tells tales of the Mughal dynasty.
In the afternoon, we journey onward to Jaipur, the colourful capital of Rajasthan. Upon arrival, we check into our haveli-style hotel and unwind.
Day 4 - Discover Jaipur
Today we explore the enchanting Pink City. Our sightseeing includes Amber Fort, perched above the city with sweeping views and ornate courtyards; the extraordinary Jantar Mantar observatory with its monumental astronomical instruments; and the royal City Palace, a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture.
The evening is ours to explore Jaipur’s famous markets, where we can shop for hand-block textiles, gemstones, or colourful local crafts.
Day 5 - Ranthambore
Jaipur - Ranthambore. After breakfast, we drive through the Rajasthani countryside to Ranthambore National Park, arriving around midday. We check in to our jungle lodge and enjoy a bit of rest before heading out on an afternoon safari in a shared canter.
Ranthambore is known for its tiger population, and we may also spot leopards, deer, monkeys, and myriad birdlife against a backdrop of crumbling temples and peaceful lakes. After the safari, we return to the hotel for dinner and a relaxing evening.
Day 6 - Ranthambore to Delhi
Ranthambore - Delhi. We rise early for another thrilling safari drive, when wildlife is most active in the cool morning air. After breakfast at the lodge, we have time to relax by the pool or make use of the spa and hotel facilities.
Around midday, we check out and spend the afternoon at leisure before heading to the train station. We board a train at 17:32 for our journey back to Delhi, travelling in a second-class air-conditioned carriage. Upon arrival at 22:35, we’re transferred to our hotel for a good night’s rest.
Day 7 - Delhi Departure
Our tour comes to an end after breakfast. Departure transfers are not included, so the day is free for you to explore Delhi at your own pace or arrange onward travel as needed.
