Day 1 - Berlin
Welcome to your adventure! Upon arriving in Berlin, we will arrange your transfer to the hotel, giving you some time to relax and explore at your own pace. Later, please check the information boards at the hotel reception for details about the start of your journey. Enjoy your first day in this vibrant city. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Berlin
On the second day, we will fully immerse ourselves in Berlin's rich culture and history with a guided panoramic tour of this vibrant capital. Our exploration begins in the historic centre, where we will visit Museum Islanda significant cultural and architectural landmark. We will also admire the imposing Reichstag, pass through the iconic Brandenburg Gate, and stroll along the bustling shopping streets. The tour offers a chance to experience the city's beautiful parks, providing a scenic respite amidst the urban landscape. Our journey poignantly acknowledges Berlin's past with stops at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum, presenting an opportunity for reflection. Should you choose, an optional excursion to Potsdam is available, where you can explore its stunning palaces and gardens.
Day 3 - Berlin - Copenhagen
Enjoy a leisurely morning in Berlin before we set off at 11:30 a.m. for our journey northward. Our route takes us to Rostock where we shall board a ferry departing at 3:30 p.m. The ferry ride across the Baltic Sea to Denmark is a delightful experience on a modern vessel and lasts nearly two hours. Once we dock in Denmark, we'll travel through picturesque landscapes, arriving in Copenhagen by evening.
Day 4 - Copenhagen
In the morning, we will embark on an engaging panoramic tour of Copenhagen, a city renowned for its outstanding quality of life, commitment to sustainability, and vibrant cultural scene. Our local guide will introduce us to some of the city's key attractions, including the iconic Little Mermaid statue and the picturesque Nyhavn harbour, where colourful historic buildings line the water. We will admire the exterior of Amalienborg Palace, the royal family's residence, and explore the bustling Town Hall Square. Our tour will also take us through the Tivoli Park area, known for its lively atmosphere. Later, you will have free time to discover more of Copenhagen at your own pace, allowing you to delve deeper into its rich heritage and contemporary charm.
Day 5 - Copenhagen - Jnkping - Vadstena - Stockholm
On day five, we set off towards Elsinore, famously known as the setting for Shakespeare's "Hamlet" and home to the impressive Kronborg Castle. After exploring this historic area, we'll embark on a brief ferry trip to Sweden, a journey lasting around 20 minutes. Our travels will take us through stunning landscapes, showcasing expansive lakes and verdant forests, as we make our way to Jnkping. Here, you'll have the opportunity to wander through this contemporary yet quaint lakeside city and enjoy lunch. We continue onwards to Vadstena, a charming lakeside town known for its well-preserved historic homes and a magnificent 14th-century castle that once served as a monastery. Our day concludes with an evening arrival in Stockholm, the vibrant Swedish capital. Renowned for its dynamic blend of modernity and rich history, the city is beautifully set amid the Baltic Sea archipelago, interlinked by a myriad of bridges and ferries, promising an unforgettable experience.
Day 6 - Stockholm
We begin our exploration of Stockholm, a captivating city spread across 14 islands linked by over 50 bridges. Our tour takes us to Gamla Stan, affectionately known as the city between bridges. Wander through its charming old quarter, home to impressive landmarks like the Nobel Prize Museum, which is proudly situated beside the historic main square, Stortorget. We'll also visit the Stockholm Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Whenever possible, we will pause at the Fjllgatan viewpoint to soak in its panoramic vistas. Following our guided tour, you'll have free time to continue discovering the city at your own pace. We suggest visiting the city's captivating museums and vibrant parks. For those interested, an optional visit to the City Hall and the Vasa Museum is available.
Day 7 - Stockholm - Stockholm - Turku Ferry
Enjoy a leisurely day exploring Stockholm at your own pace. As evening falls, we'll board a modern ferry set to sail overnight to Finland. Accommodation is provided in comfortable double en-suite cabins, ensuring a restful night as we journey across the Baltic Sea.
Day 8 - Stockholm - Turku Ferry - Naantali - Helsinki
As we sail into the Finnish morning, make your way to the ships deck to witness the enchanting sunrise over the land Islands, an archipelago comprised of hundreds of forested islands. After disembarking in Turku, a city alive with Swedish influences, youll have some time to explore its distinct character. Our travels will then lead us to Naantali, a seaside town famous for its charming wooden houses. By lunchtime, well arrive in Helsinki, where youll have the afternoon free to discover the city's attractions, including its vibrant old market, buildings with Russian flair, and magnificent churches.
Day 9 - Helsinki - Helsinki - Tallinn Ferry - Tallinn
Today, we will embark on a boat trip to the Suomenlinna Islands, renowned for their magnificent fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that once safeguarded the harbour entrance of Helsinki. As we explore, you can wander across the islands, linked by pedestrian bridges, to take in the historic ambiance. In the afternoon, well board a ferry bound for Estonia, a voyage that will take approximately two and a half hours. As we leave Helsinki, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the captivating views of the surrounding islands. We will arrive in the enchanting city of Tallinn by the evening.
Day 10 - Tallinn
In Tallinn, the charming capital of Estonia, we'll start with a panoramic tour that showcases the citys remarkably preserved medieval centre. Discover the historical walls, enchanting churches, and bustling squares as you wander through medieval streets lined with attractions. In the afternoon, you'll have the freedom to explore at your leisure, allowing you to delve deeper into this fascinating city's unique charm and history.
Day 11 - Tallinn
After breakfast, our adventure concludes, leaving you with cherished memories of our time together.
