Day 1 - Berlin
Welcome to Berlin! We will arrange for your transfer to the hotel upon arrival. Once youre settled in, take advantage of some free time to relax or begin exploring this fascinating city at your leisure. In the afternoon, be sure to check the information boards located in the hotel reception area for important details about the start of your tour. Enjoy your first taste of Berlin's unique atmosphere. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Berlin
Embark on a captivating tour of Berlin, Germany's vibrant capital, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide. From the comfort of our coach, we will explore the city's most iconic sights, including the historic Museum Island, the towering Television Tower, and bustling shopping streets in the city centre. Witness the poignant remains of the old cathedral, destroyed during World War II, and admire the grandeur of the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. As we pass through Berlin's expansive parks, you'll sense the rich history that permeates the city. Our journey includes stops at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum, both serving as powerful reminders of the nation's turbulent past.In the afternoon, you'll have leisure time to wander through Berlin at your own pace, discovering its unique charm and modern energy. Day 3 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
Today, we set off on a scenic drive through lush forests towards Dresden, a city celebrated for its remarkable architectural and artistic treasures. As one of Germany's foremost tourist spots, you'll have time to wander among its many palaces and perhaps enjoy lunch in one of the charming restaurants or coffee shops that dot the area. Later in the day, we'll travel onward to the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague. Our first stop will be the vibrant Old Town Square, buzzing with energy and filled with an array of activities, providing the perfect introduction to Prague. Here, you can savour a meal at one of the many restaurants offering diverse cuisines, from Czech to Chinese, Indian, and Italian. As the day concludes, we'll return to the hotel for a restful night.
Day 4 - Prague
Today, we'll explore the enchanting city of Prague, a Baroque masterpiece. Our day begins with a panoramic tour led by a knowledgeable local guide, focusing on the city's most iconic landmarks. One of the highlights will be a visit to Prague Castle, where your entrance is included. Following this, we'll enjoy a tranquil boat ride on the Vltava River, an included experience that offers a unique perspective of the citys picturesque surroundings. The afternoon is free for you to wander the charming streets, explore historic sites, or perhaps sample some local cuisine at your leisure.
Day 5 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
On the fifth day, we set off bright and early towards Bavaria, Germany. We will arrive by midday in Munich, providing you with ample time to wander through the historic city centre and savour a leisurely lunch. Later in the afternoon, our adventure continues as we travel to Austria. Once nestled in the heart of the Alps, you'll have the opportunity to explore Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. In the evening, enjoy dinner in the Golden Roof area, where the charm of the Old Town awaits you.
Day 6 - Innsbruck - Salzburg
We begin the day with a visit to the Swarovski Museum, where you'll delve into the dazzling world of crystals and marvel at the museums enchanting gardens. Take this opportunity to learn about the intricate craftsmanship involved in creating these exquisite pieces. Following the museum visit, you have free time to wander through Innsbruck's historic centre, soaking in its unique charm. We then journey across picturesque mountain roads, heading towards Kitzbhel, a Tyrolean town celebrated for its nearly year-round snow and renowned ski resort. This town is home to the legendary Hahnenkamm Race, one of the most prestigious events in the alpine skiing calendar. By day's end, we'll reach the beautiful city of Salzburg.
Day 7 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
This morning, we'll delve into the enchanting city of Salzburg, famously known as the birthplace of Mozart. Wander through its exquisitely preserved Renaissance and Baroque centre, overshadowed by the majestic castle. Our exploration continues as we journey through the picturesque landscape of lakes and mountains, heading towards St. Wolfgang, a well-known pilgrimage destination in Austria. Next, we'll travel to Traunkirchen, beautifully situated beside Lake Traunsee. Here, we will embark on a lovely cruise, offering views of four stunning castles that decorate the lake's edge, before landing in the charming town of Gmunden. Our travels then take us onwards to Vienna, where we shall arrive in the evening.
Day 8 - Vienna
Today, well discover the grandeur of Vienna with a panoramic tour led by a local guide. Experience the citys magnificent avenues, stunning palaces, expansive parks, and vibrant city centre. In the afternoon, the choice is yours to delve deeper into the attractions or perhaps relax in one of the city's charming cafs. Come evening, weve arranged a transfer to the Grinzing district, historically a wine-growing village now part of Vienna, celebrated for its authentic taverns. You'll have the freedom to enjoy dinner in this delightful area.
Day 9 - Vienna - Budapest
Today, we journey to Budapest, Hungary's vibrant capital, after a three-hour drive. Our first stop is the bustling Vci utca, an area brimming with dining optionsperfect for a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon, we take to the water with an included boat trip on the majestic Danube River. From here, you'll enjoy stunning views of the historic Buda to one side and the dynamic Pest to the other. Afterwards, our panoramic tour begins, revealing why Budapest is often dubbed the "Queen of the Danube." Later, take the opportunity to explore the city's delights at your own pace. In the evening, an optional outing awaits, featuring a Magyar show complete with dinneran unforgettable cultural experience.
Day 10 - Budapest
On the final day of our adventure, after enjoying breakfast, our journey concludes. As you part ways with us today, we hope you take home cherished memories of the experiences and sights that have filled your travels. Safe onwards journey we look forward to being a part of your future explorations.
