Day 1 - Paris
Upon your arrival in Paris, well arrange your transfer to the hotel, offering you some free time to unwind and explore at your leisure. In the afternoon, well provide all the necessary details regarding the start of your tour. Day 2 - Paris
On our second day in Paris, we delve into the country's storied past at the illustrious Palace of Versailles. While entry to the palace is not included, you have the option to admire the exquisite gardens that surround this historic site. Upon our return to the city, we explore Montmartre, a delightful bohemian enclave renowned for its vibrant artistic scene and famous cabarets. In the afternoon, we embark on a panoramic tour of Paris with a knowledgeable local guide. This tour offers a captivating view of the city's grand avenues and celebrated landmarks. After a day full of exploration, we return to our hotel. For those seeking more entertainment, an optional variety show is available in the evening to further enhance your Parisian experience.
Day 3 - Paris - Rouen
Our day begins in the heart of Paris with a visit to the legendary Eiffel Tower. Youll have the opportunity to ascend to its second floor and enjoy sweeping views of the city tickets for this experience are included. Following this, we embark on a leisurely cruise along the Seine, taking in the views from the water. You have the afternoon free to further explore Paris at your own pace, soaking up its vibrant atmosphere and perhaps visiting a museum or a caf.At around 4:00 p.m., we depart for Normandy and our next destination, Rouen. On arrival in this historic city, youll have some free time to wander through its ancient centre. Rouen, a city with origins that stretch back to Roman times, is renowned for its preserved medieval architecture, including its magnificent Gothic cathedral. Enjoy its mix of history and charm as you explore the area. Please note that if the Eiffel Tower's queue times are especially long, we might adjust our schedule to visit at a different time or on Sunday to ensure the best experience.
Day 4 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
Today, we begin with a leisurely stroll through the heart of Rouen, offering you a chance to appreciate its rich history and captivating medieval architecture, including the impressive Gothic cathedral. Following our time in Rouen, we set off towards the northern coast of France. Here, we will embark on a ferry crossing over the English Channel. Upon arrival, we continue our journey to Canterbury, famously known as the religious heart of England, with its charming and historic centre. Our final destination for the day is London, where you'll enjoy free time in the iconic Tower Bridge area, allowing you to explore one of the citys most famous landmarks before settling into the hotel.
Day 5 - London
On the fifth day of our journey, we'll explore the vibrant charm of London with a local guide, showcasing the city's rich tapestry of culture and history. Our panoramic tour will take in some of the capital's most iconic sights, such as the majestic Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace. Depending on the timing, you might witness the celebrated Changing of the Guard ceremony outside the Palace. Here, you can explore diverse items and enjoy lunch at one of the many food stands or local eateries. At approximately 4:00 p.m., our journey continues as we depart for Colchester, the oldest recorded town in England. You will have the opportunity to meander through its historic streets and take in the atmosphere. We will then proceed to Harwich to board a ferry for an overnight journey to the Netherlands with accommodation in en suite cabins.Important information: Due to limited cabin availability on the ferry, the itinerary may be adjusted. Alternative routes may include travelling from London to Amsterdam via a daytime ferry and an overnight stay in Antwerp, or opting for train or flight transport to Amsterdam.
Day 7 - Colchester - Volendam Ferry - Volendam - Amsterdam
We will arrive at the Hook of Holland around eight in the morning, marking the start of our Dutch adventure. Our first destination today is Volendam, a quaint and picturesque fishing village that captures the essence of traditional Dutch culture. After soaking in the charm and serenity of Volendam, we'll continue our journey to Amsterdam. Here, we'll embark on a guided tour of this vibrant city. Witness the iconic image of the windmill, admire the elegance of Amsterdam's South District, and explore the historic craft of diamond cutting at Museum Square. Choose from a selection of eateries offering diverse international cuisines, including local Czech favourites, before we return to the hotel for the evening.
Day 11 - Prague
Today, we delve into the heart of Prague, the Baroque jewel of Europe. As part of the tour, youll have the opportunity to explore Prague Castle, with admission included in our itinerary. Day 12 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
Today we set off early, venturing into Bavaria, Germany. Our first destination is Munich, where well arrive around midday. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the historic city centre at your leisure and enjoy lunch, possibly sampling some traditional Bavarian cuisine. In the afternoon, we continue our journey into Austria. Our path takes us into the breathtaking heart of the Alps, where we arrive in Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. You'll have time to wander through this charming alpine city. Dinner will be in the Golden Roof area and the Old Town, where you can soak up the enchanting atmosphere of the surroundings.
Day 13 - Innsbruck - Salzburg
Today, we will delve into the world of crystals at the Swarovski Museum, where you can admire its exquisite collection and learn about the intricate craftsmanship behind these dazzling creations. Afterwards, you'll have the opportunity to wander around the historic centre of Innsbruck, a city steeped in history. Our adventure continues as we travel through scenic mountain passes, arriving in Kitzbhel, a well-loved Tyrolean town renowned for its ski resort and near year-round snow. Following our arrival, well embark on a scenic boat trip along the Danube River. This cruise offers breathtaking views of the historic sites that line the riverbanks, with the historic Buda on one side and the lively Pest on the other. Afterwards, we'll take a panoramic tour of Budapest, often referred to as the "Queen of the Danube," highlighting its blend of classical and modern charm. You'll have some leisure time to further explore the city at your own pace. In the evening, you might consider joining an optional outing to experience a traditional Magyar show, complete with dinner.
Day 17 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
Today, we will set off from Budapest bright and early, journeying towards Bratislava, Slovakia's picturesque capital nestled along the banks of the Danube. This charming city boasts a captivating historic centre where you'll have ample time to explore and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Following our visit, we'll resume our journey and make our way to the Czech Republic, reaching Prague by evening.
