New Year's in Finland

28 December 2025. Upon your arrival at Kajaani Airport, you will be met and transferred to Hotel Kalevala. The scenic drive, spanning about an hour, will treat you to the breathtaking snowy landscapes of the Finnish countryside.

As the evening unfolds, we come together to enjoy our first dinner, marking the beginning of your adventures in this winter wonderland.

After breakfast this morning, you'll get to know each other in the Guided Kalevala Snow Games, where cooperation, imagination, and joy take center stage in playful winter races. These activities are designed to bring everyone together in the spirit of fun and shared experiences.

Afterwards, we'll enjoy lunch before embarking on a 2-hour snowshoe tour, exploring the enchanting taiga forest and the shores of a frozen lake.

As the day winds down, consider indulging in an evening sauna experience, complemented by the hotel's indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis. Conclude the day with a satisfying dinner.

After breakfast, enjoy the thrill of husky, reindeer, and snowmobile sleigh drives, immersing yourself in the unique experiences each ride has to offer.

Recharge with lunch, before a guided city tour visiting iconic sites. Later in the afternoon, we'll meet Santa! Santa Claus, well-rested after a busy Christmas, invites guests to visit his office in Kuhmo.

As the day winds down, enjoy a sumptuous dinner, reflecting on the day's adventures in this winter wonderland.

After this morning's breakfast, embark on a 1-hour snowmobile safari, where you'll traverse the snowy landscapes surrounding the resort.

In the afternoon, partake in the tradition of tin casting in the lobby, an activity where the tin can supposedly reveal your future for the upcoming year.

The highlight of the evening awaits with the New Year Gala Dinner. Enjoy a night of live music, dancing, and a DJ to create an unforgettable atmosphere. As the clock nears midnight, move to the terrace for the countdown and a spectacular display of fireworks. The celebration continues inside the bar with dancing until the early hours, marking the beginning of a new year filled with joy and memories.

Enjoy your first breakfast of the year before embarking on a short 15-minute transfer to Lentuankoski rapids. Here, witness the resilience of the white-throated dipper, a small bird that braves the freezing temperatures of winter. Join together to observe and capture photographs of this courageous bird, while enjoying hot juice and snacks served by an open fire.

In the evening, embark on a bus transfer to the New Year Concert at the Kuhmo Arts Centre.

Conclude the day with a delightful dinner, reflecting on your New Year's festivities in Finland!
