Welcome to Helsinki, the vibrant capital of Finland!
Helsinki boasts a rich history, with its roots dating back to the 16th century when it was founded as a trading post by King Gustav I of Sweden. Over the centuries, it has evolved into a bustling and culturally diverse city, renowned for its stunning architecture, beautiful waterfront, and a vibrant arts scene.
You will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. After check in, the rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2 - City Tour
Today, embark on a private walking tour of Helsinki and immerse yourself in the city's neoclassical architecture and iconic landmarks.
You'll begin the tour at Helsinki's most emblematic structure, the Lutheran Cathedral, with its magnificent green dome crowning the pure white edifice, overlooking the majestic Senate Square.
Your leisurely stroll continues to the impressive Uspenski Cathedral, a striking tribute to Emperor Alexander II of Russia, who once ruled over Finland in the 19th century.
After the tour, the rest of the day is at your leisure. Helsinki has a lot to offer in terms of history, culture, and scenic beauty. We recommend taking a leisurely stroll along the Esplanadi Park, checking out the city's museums and art galleries, or indulging in some local cuisine at a traditional Finnish restaurant.
