Your adventure begins in the charming city of Tallinn. Upon your arrival, we will arrange your transfer to the hotel, leaving you some time to unwind after your journey. You have the rest of the afternoon at your leisure to explore or relax as you wish. For details about the start of your tour, please check the notice boards located in the hotel reception area. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Tallinn
Begin your day by embracing the charm of Tallinn, the Estonian capital renowned for its well-preserved medieval core. We will take you on a panoramic tour where you'll discover the city's enchanting walls, historic churches, bustling squares, and captivating medieval streets brimming with landmarks waiting to be explored. This journey through time will immerse you in the city's rich past. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure perhaps delve deeper into the local culture or unwind in one of Tallinn's many inviting cafes.
Day 3 - Tallinn - Parnu - Turaida - Sigulda - Salaspils - Riga
Our day begins with an enchanting journey through the lush woodlands and open landscapes leading us to Prnu, Estonia's inviting seaside resort. Embrace the opportunity to soak up the resort atmosphere before we proceed to Latvia. We'll treat you to a delightful lunch prior to our exploration of the medieval marvel that is Turaida Castle. Nestled in a sprawling park adorned with sculptures, the castle offers a glimpse into Latvia's storied past. Next, you have the option to wander through Sigulda, a picturesque town that sits amidst stunning scenery. Our travels continue as we visit the Salaspils Memorial, a significant site located where a Nazi concentration camp once stood. Since 1967, this poignant complex has served to honour the victims of that tragic period. We aim to reach the vibrant city of Riga by evening, bringing an end to a day rich with history and natural beauty.
Day 4 - Riga
On day four, immerse yourself in a comprehensive tour of Riga, the vibrant capital and largest city of the Baltic states. During our included panoramic exploration, you'll discover remnants of its Soviet past alongside its celebrated cultural centre. Riga is acclaimed for its medieval Old Town and exquisite Art Nouveau architecture. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time to wander and unearth the city's rich heritage and lively atmosphere at your own pace.
Day 5 - Riga - Rundale - Vilnius
We depart from Riga early this morning, setting our course for Lithuania. Our first stop is the magnificent Baroque-style Rundale Palace, crafted by the same architect famed for designing the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg. As we cross into Lithuania, we encounter the striking Hill of Crosses, a compelling testament to the nations Catholic heritage adorned with thousands of crosses, each varying in size. After enjoying an included lunch along the route, we proceed to Trakai, famed for its picturesque island castle nestled amidst a serene lake just outside Vilnius. We end our day's journey in Vilnius, where an evening in this charming city awaits. Please note, should daylight be limited, our visit to Trakai might occur the following day, after we explore Vilnius.
Day 6 - Vilnius
Today, you'll embark on a captivating panoramic tour of Vilnius, a city steeped in history and built upon seven hills, evocative of the majestic city of Rome. We'll guide you through a rich tapestry of Baroque churches and timeless historic walls, explore the grandeur of the local castle, and wander through vibrant commercial streets that pulse with life. Discover the remarkable heritage of 1,200 medieval houses that aptly reflect the city's storied past. In the afternoon, the freedom is yours to delve deeper into Vilnius at your own pace, perhaps seeking out local dining spots or strolling through charming corners that intrigue you.
Day 7 - Vilnius - Grutas Park - Augustw - Warsaw
Today, we journey onwards to Poland, making our first stop at Grutas Park in Lithuania. Often referred to as "Stalin's World," this fascinating park houses 86 Soviet-era statues, offering a unique glimpse into the region's history. Following our exploration, we'll head to the picturesque lakeside town of Augustw for a delightful lunch. After some leisure time to soak up the charm of this quaint town, we'll continue towards the heart of Poland. By day's end, we'll arrive in Warsaw, ready to immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Poland's capital.
Day 8 - Warsaw - Poznan
In the morning, we explore Warsaw with a local guide, delving into the rich historical tapestry and dynamic energy of Poland's capital. This city, where tradition intertwines with modernity, has undergone a remarkable transformation, beautifully restoring its Old Towna World Heritage site. We visit the Royal Palace and saunter through its charming cobblestone streets, all meticulously rebuilt after World War II. Our tour also takes us to the Palace of Culture, a significant legacy of the Soviet era. We pause to reflect on the poignant history of the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe and enjoy a stroll through ?azienki Park, home to the illustrious Chopin Monument.After some time to enjoy a leisurely walk and lunch, we set off at around 2:30 p.m. towards Pomerania, eventually reaching Pozna?an energetic city celebrated for its splendid main square and lively atmosphere. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore and soak up the vibrant local culture.
Day 9 - Poznan - Berlin
Leaving Poznan early, we journey through the extensive plains to reach Germany, arriving in Berlin by approximately 11:30 a.m. As Europes vibrant cultural and historical hub, Berlin awaits with an array of captivating experiences and iconic landmarks for you to explore.
Day 10 - Berlin
Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Berlin as we embark on a fascinating city tour led by a local guide. From the comfort of our coach, you'll glimpse the iconic landmarks that define the German capital. Discover Museum Island's cultural treasures, marvel at the height of the Television Tower, and traverse the bustling city centre with its dynamic shopping streets. Dresden stands as one of Germanys premier tourist destinations, offering a wealth of historical palaces to explore. Youll have ample time to delve into its rich culture and perhaps enjoy lunch at one of its numerous cafes or restaurants.In the afternoon, our journey continues to the Czech Republic, where well arrive in Prague. This vibrant city welcomes us to its Old Town Square, a lively hub brimming with energy and opportunities for exploration. Its the perfect setting to immerse yourself in Pragues enchanting atmosphere. As the evening unfolds, youre free to dine at one of the many restaurants offering a diverse array of cuisines: from traditional Czech to Chinese, Indian, and Italian. After experiencing the charm of Prague, well return to our hotel for a restful night.
Day 12 - Prague
Today, we invite you to explore Prague, often regarded as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our day begins with an insightful panoramic tour led by a local guide who will introduce you to the citys most remarkable landmarks. As part of this tour, well visit Prague Castle, a majestic complex perched above the city, with your admission included. Following our castle visit, you'll get to enjoy a leisurely boat ride along the Vltava River, offering a unique perspective of the city's picturesque landscape. The rest of the afternoon is yours to discover Prague at your own pace, whether you're interested in wandering the charming streets, sampling local cuisine, or delving into the citys rich history.
