Day 1 - Tallinn
Welcome to our tour! Upon your arrival in Tallinn, we'll provide a comfortable transfer to your hotel, allowing you some free time to settle in and explore at your leisure. Later in the afternoon, make sure to check the hotel reception boards for important details about the start of your adventure. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Tallinn
Today, we explore Tallinn, the enchanting capital of Estonia, which remarkably retains its medieval heart. We will embark on a panoramic tour, taking in the city's historic walls, beautiful churches, charming squares, and vibrant streets, all rich with historical treasures. The afternoon will be yours to wander at leisure, allowing you to delve deeper into the citys unique character and perhaps discover a few hidden gems along the way. Whether you choose to explore more of the old town or relax in one of its inviting cafs, Tallinn promises you an unforgettable experience.
Day 3 - Tallinn - Parnu - Turaida - Sigulda - Salaspils - Riga
On our third day, we will set off through scenic forests and plains, making our way to Parnu, a beloved seaside resort. From there, our journey continues into Latvia, where a delightful lunch awaits before we visit the medieval Turaida Castle. The castle, admission included, is nestled within a vast park adorned with sculptures. Youll have the opportunity to wander in the charming town of Sigulda, set amidst stunning landscapes. Our next stop is the Salaspils Memorial, which stands at the former site of a Nazi concentration camp. Since 1967, this has been one of Europe's largest monumental complexes, honouring the victims of the regime. We plan to arrive in Riga by the evening.
Day 4 - Riga
On your fourth day in Riga, you will delight in a guided panoramic tour of Latvia's bustling capital, the largest city in the Baltic states. As we explore, you'll notice the remnants of the Soviet era alongside the city's renowned cultural centre, medieval Historic Centre, and impressive Art Nouveau architecture. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure, providing an ideal opportunity to delve deeper into Riga's vibrant atmosphere. Whether you choose to wander the charming streets, visit a local museum, or simply relax and take in the surroundings, the choice is entirely yours.
Day 5 - Riga - Rundale - Vilnius
We set off for Lithuania in the early morning, making our first stop at the splendid Rundale Palace. This Baroque masterpiece was crafted by the same architect responsible for Saint Petersburgs Hermitage Museum. Next, we cross into Lithuania, a country with a rich Catholic heritage which is strikingly represented by the Hill of Crosses. This awe-inspiring site is a sea of thousands of crosses, each varying in size. Along the route, we include a pleasant lunch for you. In the afternoon, we visit Trakai Castle, a stunning fortress situated on an island amidst a serene lake, located near Vilnius. We conclude our journey today by reaching Vilnius. Do note, depending on daylight availability, the visit to Trakai might occur after exploring the city.
Day 6 - Vilnius
We start the day with a panoramic tour of Vilnius, a city gracefully built upon seven hills and often likened to Rome. As we explore, you'll encounter its stunning Baroque churches, remnants of historic walls, and its impressive castle. The lively commercial streets in the city centre are lined with around 1,200 medieval houses, each narrating a part of the city's rich past. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure, offering you the chance to delve deeper into this vibrant city at your own pace.
Day 7 - Vilnius - Grutas Park - Augustw - Warsaw
On day seven, we embark on our journey to Poland. Our first stop is at Grutas Park, famed as "Stalin's World," which houses 86 statues reminiscent of the Soviet era, providing a poignant glimpse into the past. After this intriguing visit, we continue to the picturesque lakeside town of Augustw, where we will pause for a delightful lunch surrounded by charming scenery. From there, we set our sights on central Poland, aiming to reach the vibrant city of Warsaw by the day's end.
Day 8 - Warsaw - Poznan
In the morning, we'll embark on a panoramic tour of Warsaw, guided by a local expert. As Poland's political and economic heart, Warsaw is a city that seamlessly blends the classic with the contemporary, tradition with cosmopolitan flair, constantly reinventing itself. We'll wander through the charming Old Town, admiring its historic edifices, Royal Palace, and cobblestone streets, all meticulously rebuilt after wartime devastation and now celebrated as a World Heritage Site. Our tour will also include the iconic Palace of Culturea towering gift from the Soviet era. We'll reflect on the poignant history of what was once Europe's largest Jewish ghetto and enjoy a stroll through ?azienki Park, where the Chopin Monument stands majestically. Around 2:30 p.m., after some time for a walk and lunch, we'll set off for Pomerania, heading to our next destinationPozna?. This lively city boasts a splendid main square and a palpable energy. You'll have some free time to discover its vibrant atmosphere before we settle in for the evening.
Day 9 - Poznan - Berlin
Departing early from Poznan, we journey across the expansive plains towards Germany. Expect to arrive in Berlin around 11:30 in the morning, giving you ample time to begin exploring this vibrant city.
Day 10 - Berlin
Today, you will experience Berlinthe vibrant capital of Germanyon a guided panoramic tour. We'll explore the historic heart of the city, visiting iconic sites such as Museum Island, the Reichstag, and the Brandenburg Gate. Stroll through bustling shopping streets and enjoy the lush greenery of Berlin's beautiful parks. Our tour will also take us to the poignant Holocaust Memorial and Berlin Wall Memorial Museum, offering a deeper understanding of the city's history. If you fancy an optional excursion, you might choose to visit Potsdam, renowned for its magnificent palaces.
Day 11 - Berlin
