Planes instead of Trains
Available from 20 January 2026. Opt to fly from Cairo to Aswan and from Luxor back to Cairo instead of taking the overnight sleeper train. After visiting the Egyptian Museum and viewing the Treasures of Tutankhamun, take a short one-hour flight to Aswan, where you can enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep in a hotel. The next morning, take your time with a leisurely start before meeting your tour group mid-morning.
At the end of the trip, enjoy an additional night in Luxor before flying to Cairo on Saturday to rejoin your tour group once again

Additional Information
This flight Add-on is available to all group tour guests travelling from 20 January 2026 on our King Tutankhamen (and Optional Flight), Alexandria & Ancient Egypt with Nile Cruise, Pyramids to Petra with Nile Cruise and Turkey & Tutankhamen with Nile Cruise tours. It replaces the overnight sleeper train with flights from Cairo to Aswan and from Luxor back to Cairo.
Please note that this add-on must be booked at least 60 days prior to departure. Bookings made within 60 days are subject to higher fares, as discounted rates may no longer be available. Flight availability is limited, with only a few services to Aswan each day—typically very early in the morning or late in the evening. On occasion, our group may need to travel on separate flights, with some guests flying in the evening and others the following morning on both outbound and return journeys.
Travelers who have a single room on their tour are required to book a single room with this upgrade, and a single supplement will apply.
Our Planes instead of Trains Add-on is offered unescorted, as your tour guide will be travelling aboard the overnight train with the other members of your tour.
