Day 1 - Arrive in Cairo
On arrival at Cairo International Airport, you’ll be met and assisted through the airport formalities before transferring to your hotel.
Day 2 - Pyramids of Giza & Grand Egyptian Museum
Your day begins with a private visit to the Giza Plateau to explore the iconic Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, followed by the enigmatic Great Sphinx.
You'll then head to the nearby Grand Egyptian Museum – one of the world’s most impressive archaeological institutions – where ancient artefacts are brought to life in a modern, engaging setting.
Day 3 - Saqqara & Coptic Cairo
Travel to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, a monumental achievement in early Egyptian architecture. Continue to Coptic Cairo, where you'll explore some of the city’s most significant Christian and Jewish landmarks, including the Hanging Church, St.
Sergius Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue – all linked to the Holy Family’s flight into Egypt.
Day 4 - Fly to Luxor – Embark on Dahabiya Cruise
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Cairo Airport for your included early morning flight to Luxor. On arrival, visit the vast Karnak Temple complex and then cross the Nile to the Valley of the Kings, home to the elaborately decorated tombs of pharaohs.
You'll then board your traditional Dahabiya sailboat before noon and begin sailing towards Esna. Enjoy a hand-prepared lunch on board and take in the scenery as you pass through Esna Lock.Dinner is served on board as you dock at El Hegz Island.
Day 5 - El Kab Village & Edfu
Start the day with breakfast as you sail to El Kab Village. Here, you can wander through desert ruins and visit lesser-known temples and rock-cut tombs from the New Kingdom.
Continue sailing to Edfu, passing through quiet riverside villages and lush fields of sugar cane, banana and date palms. Disembark at Sheikh Rehan Island to enjoy dinner in a peaceful Nile-side setting.
Day 6 - Gebel el-Silsila
Enjoy a relaxed morning on board as you sail to the sandstone quarries of Gebel el-Silsila. Here, you’ll visit the Temple of Horemheb, carved directly into the rock.
If you're feeling energetic, climb to the top for spectacular views over the Nile. In the evening, a barbecue dinner awaits you on the riverbank at Al Basher Island.
Day 7 - Leisurely Sailing to Aswan
Spend the day enjoying the scenery and amenities on board as you cruise towards Aswan. Take time to relax on deck, savour freshly prepared meals, and unwind in the calm surroundings.
Day 8 - Aswan & Philae Temple
After breakfast, visit the beautifully relocated Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple’s setting mirrors its original island location and offers a serene glimpse into ancient Egyptian religion. Continue sailing in the afternoon, and enjoy dinner on board beneath the stars.
Day 9 - Kom Ombo
This afternoon, visit the unique twin temple of Kom Ombo, with its symmetrical layout honouring both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. Return to your Dahabiya for dinner as you continue sailing north.
Day 10 - Return to Esna
Enjoy a full day at leisure on board as you cruise across Esna. Early risers can catch the sunrise over the river, and there's time to relax with a book, enjoy a Jacuzzi soak, or simply take in the passing scenery.
Day 11 - Return to Cairo
After breakfast, you'll disembark in Luxor and be transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Cairo. Here, your tour comes to an end.
