Day 1 - Copenhagen
Welcome to your adventure in Copenhagen! Upon your arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel, where you'll have some time to unwind and settle in. In the afternoon, you can check the information boards in the hotel reception to get the latest details on the start of your journey. Enjoy your free time, and embrace the opportunity to begin exploring this vibrant city at your own pace. Day 2 - Copenhagen
On day two, we begin our exploration of Copenhagen with a guided panoramic tour of this remarkable city, renowned for its high quality of life and commitment to sustainability. Our journey takes us to see the iconic Little Mermaid statue, a beloved symbol of Denmark. We'll admire Nyhavn harbour's colourful historic buildings and visit the exterior of Amalienborg Palace, the official residence of the Danish royal family. We'll also pass through the bustling Town Hall Square and the lively Tivoli Park area. Following our tour, you'll have the freedom to explore the city at your own pace, perhaps visiting one of its many museums or enjoying the vibrant caf culture.
Day 3 - Copenhagen - Jnkping - Vadstena - Stockholm
Today, we set off from Copenhagen towards Elsinore, famously known as the setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet. Here, we'll visit the impressive Kronborg Castle, standing as a testament to the region's rich history. Following this, we'll take a brief 20-minute ferry ride across to Sweden. Our journey will showcase Sweden's stunning landscapes, featuring vast lakes and lush forests, as we travel to Jnkping. Known for its modern feel and lakeside position, Jnkping offers a perfect spot for a leisurely lunch and exploration.Our next destination is Vadstena, a charming town perched by the lake, renowned for its historical architecture including a grand 14th-century castle which later served as a monastery. We'll then continue our travels, reaching Stockholm by the evening. This spectacular capital, nestled amidst the Baltic Sea archipelago, is famed for its distinctive blend of history and modernity, connected through numerous bridges and ferries. Prepare to be captivated by Stockholms vibrant cultural heritage and majestic architecture.
Day 4 - Stockholm
Today, we'll embark on a panoramic tour of Stockholm, a captivating capital city uniquely spread across 14 interconnected islands. Our visit will take us to Gamla Stan, known as 'the city between bridges', where you can explore the lively old quarter brimming with impressive structures. Here, find the Nobel Prize Museum, which stands proudly near Stortorget, the bustling main square that honours Nobel laureates. You'll also see the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Whenever possible, we'll pause to take in spectacular views from the Fjllgatan viewpoint. Following our guided tour, you'll have leisure time to discover the city's gems on your own. We highly recommend exploring the local museums and parks at your pace. For an optional experience, consider visiting the iconic City Hall and the fascinating Vasa Museum.
Day 5 - Stockholm - Stockholm - Turku Ferry
Spend the day exploring Stockholm at your own pace. In the evening, we'll hop on a modern ferry for an overnight voyage to Finland. You'll be accommodated in comfortable double cabins with en-suite facilities.
Day 6 - Stockholm - Turku Ferry - Naantali - Helsinki
As we arrive in Finland, we suggest heading to the ships deck at sunrise to capture the breathtaking landscapes as we glide through the land Islands. This group of hundreds of forested islands offers a spectacular start to the day. Once we disembark in Turku, a city rich in Swedish influence, you'll have some time to explore before we continue to Naantali. This quaint town, with its charming wooden houses by the sea, promises picturesque views. We'll then make our way to Helsinki, arriving around lunchtime. The afternoon is yours to discover the city, including its historic market, the striking Russian-style architecture, and the beautiful churches that punctuate the skyline.
Day 7 - Helsinki - Helsinki - Tallinn Ferry - Tallinn
Our day in Helsinki begins with a delightful boat excursion to the Suomenlinna Islands. This impressive cluster of islands, linked by pedestrian bridges, is home to a historic fortress designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once a key defensive stronghold, it now offers fascinating exploration opportunities. In the afternoon, we will board a ferry bound for Estonia, a scenic journey of approximately two and a half hours. As we sail away from Helsinki, you will be treated to marvellous views of the surrounding islands. By evening, we will arrive in Tallinn, where your adventure continues.
Day 8 - Tallinn
You'll begin your day in the enchanting city of Tallinn, Estonia's capital, renowned for its remarkably preserved medieval core. Our morning will be spent on a panoramic tour, where we will explore the city's ancient walls, charming churches, bustling squares, and cobbled streets brimming with historical charm and attractions. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Stroll through the quaint lanes, savour local cuisine, or perhaps indulge in a bit of shopping. Tallinn's unique blend of history and modernity offers plenty of opportunities for an engaging and memorable experience.
