Day 1 - Copenhagen
Upon your arrival in Copenhagen, we will arrange your transfer to the hotel. Once you've settled in, you'll have some leisure time to start exploring this charming city at your own pace. Later in the afternoon, you can find details about the commencement of your tour on the information boards located at the hotel reception. Enjoy the rest of your day soaking up the atmosphere of this vibrant capital. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Copenhagen - Rostock - Szczecin
Following breakfast, well set off for Gedser, a charming town marking Scandinavia's southernmost point. At around 11:00 a.m., we board a modern ferry for a two-hour Baltic Sea crossing to Germany. We recommend enjoying lunch on the ship. Upon arrival in Rostock, you'll have time to discover this vibrant city, home to Germanys largest Baltic port. Explore its lively old town, which includes landmarks such as the Market Square, City Hall, and St. Marys Church. Our journey then continues through the Pomerania region as we make our way into Poland. We will reach Szczecin in the evening, a historic university city perched on the banks of the Oder River. Its delightful historic centre features the Pomeranian Dukes Castle and picturesque riverside terraces, offering you the perfect opportunity to wander and absorb the local atmosphere.
Day 3 - Szczecin - Bydgoszcz - Torun - Warsaw
Following breakfast, we'll venture through the serene landscapes of western Poland, a region that was part of Germany until the conclusion of World War II. Our first stop is Bydgoszcz, where you'll have the chance to wander this historic city, admired for its splendid architecture and scenic parks interlinked by canals connecting the Vistula and Oder rivers. Here, you'll have time to enjoy lunch before we continue our journey.Our next destination is Toru?, a fortified Gothic city whose breath-taking historic centre has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As the birthplace of Copernicus, you'll have the opportunity to explore its charming streets and visit his museum-house if you wish. Later, we'll proceed on our route to Warsaw, Poland's capital, where we expect to arrive by the end of the day.
Day 4 - Warsaw
Today, we embark on a captivating exploration of Warsaw with the expertise of a local guide. As Poland's political and economic heartbeat, this bustling city harmoniously blends contemporary architecture with carefully restored historic landmarks. We'll wander through the enchanting old town, where cobbled streets and the majestic Royal Palace stand testament to meticulous post-war restoration efforts, earning it a UNESCO World Heritage status. Our tour will introduce us to the Palace of Culture, a Soviet-era skyscraper, and provide a moment for reflection at the site of what was once Europe's largest Jewish ghetto. You'll then enjoy the tranquillity of Lazienki Park, marked by the renowned Chopin Monument. In the afternoon, you are free to delve deeper into Warsaw's culture, perhaps visiting the National Museum or the Warsaw Rising Museum, or simply soaking in the vibrant city centre complete with its array of shops and bustling activity.
Day 5 - Warsaw
After breakfast, our journey concludes, leaving you with cherished memories of your travels.
