Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague! Upon your arrival at the airport, we will arrange your transfer to the hotel. Be sure to check the information boards in the hotel reception area for details on the welcome meeting with your guide. In the evening, well transfer you to the Old Town Square, a lively hub full of energy and activity. Here, you can choose to dine at one of the numerous restaurants offering a variety of international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian options. After your meal, we'll provide a return transfer to the hotel for a restful night. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Prague
Today, we'll uncover the charm of Prague, famously known as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our day begins with an engaging panoramic tour led by a local guide, providing insight into the city's most significant and stunning monuments. Included in our exploration is a visit to the grand Prague Castle, where you'll have the opportunity to delve into its intriguing history and marvellous architecture. Later, we'll enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the Vltava River, offering a fresh perspective of Prague's picturesque landmarks from the water. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisureperhaps revisit a favourite spot or find a cosy caf to soak up the local atmosphere.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We will set off early today, making our way to the Bavarian region of Germany. Upon arriving in Munich by midday, you'll have the opportunity to explore the historic city centre at your leisure and sample the local cuisine for lunch. In the afternoon, our journey continues into Austria, where we arrive amidst the stunning alpine backdrop of Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. There, you'll have the chance to wander through the city, taking time to explore the notable Golden Roof area and the charming Old Town, before enjoying dinner.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Salzburg
Today we will begin with a visit to the Swarovski Museum, a world-renowned centre for crystal artistry, where admission is included. Immerse yourself in the captivating displays and explore the beautifully landscaped gardens. Here, well learn about the intricate craftsmanship involved in creating Swarovski's stunning crystal pieces. Following this, youll have free time to wander through Innsbruck's historic centre at your leisure, soaking up its charming atmosphere.Our adventure continues as we journey through picturesque mountain roads to Kitzbhel, a celebrated Tyrolean town renowned for its ski resort. This delightful town, known for hosting the prestigious Hahnenkamm Race, offers snow enthusiasts a chance to experience its nearly year-round snowy landscapes. By the end of the day, well arrive in Salzburg, ready to embrace the rich culture and history that awaits.
Day 5 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Today, we will delve deeper into the wonders of Austria. Our morning begins with a visit to Salzburg, famously known as the birthplace of Mozart. You'll have the opportunity to admire the city's charming Renaissance and Baroque architecture, all nestled under the imposing presence of its grand castle. Following our exploration of Salzburg, we travel through picturesque landscapes of lakes and mountains to St. Wolfgang, a well-known Austrian pilgrimage destination. Our journey then takes us to the lakeside village of Traunkirchen near the stunning Lake Traunsee. Here, we will embark on a scenic cruise, giving you a chance to see four of the lake's magnificent castles. We will disembark in Gmunden before continuing our trip to Vienna, where we will arrive in the evening.
Day 6 - Vienna
In the enchanting city of Vienna, our day begins with a panoramic tour led by a knowledgeable local guide. We will traverse the city's grand avenues lined with beautiful palaces, explore its expansive parks, and delve into the vibrant city centre, absorbing the unique charm of Austrias capital. In the afternoon, youll have the opportunity to explore Vienna at your own paceperhaps visiting its renowned museums or relaxing in one of its cosy cafs. As evening falls, we invite you to join us for a transfer to the Grinzing district. Once a traditional wine-growing village, Grinzing now offers a delightful array of quaint taverns, where you can enjoy a leisurely dinner in this picturesque part of the city.
Day 7 - Vienna - Budapest
Today, our journey takes us to Budapest, Hungary's vibrant capital, after a pleasant three-hour drive. We arrive at Vci utca, a bustling hub where you'll find an array of dining options for lunch. Our exploration of Budapest begins with a delightful boat trip along the Danube River. This cruise offers unparalleled views, flanked by historic Buda on one side and the lively Pest on the other. Afterwards, we embark on a panoramic tour to introduce you to "The Queen of the Danube," showcasing its rich history and stunning architecture. Later, youll have some leisure time to discover Budapest at your own pace. In the evening, there's an opportunity to dive deeper into the local culture with an optional Magyar show that includes dinner.
Day 8 - Budapest
After a hearty breakfast, we will conclude our journey, leaving you with treasured memories of your travels.
